Welcome to the 41st edition of the Canadian Red Roundup event. Red Roundup has continually been the mainstay event for the Red Angus breed and continues to be the #1 marketing tool for Red Angus breeders to showcase their programs in front of the world. Red Roundup has created more Red Angus sales throughout the world than any other sale in the past 41 years and that is why it has been labeled “TheWorlds Premiere Red Angus Event”. The Red Roundup festivity will start on Friday with a new and exciting portion called “Date with the Divas” that has been targeted towards showcasing the bred heifers and voting on your favorites during lunchtime. Many programs have stepped up and offered their very best breds from the front end of their keeper pen (many soon to be donors) to try and claim the jackpot prize money.The C.R.A.P.S. board has worked hard on this concept and we feel it has added many positives to the weekend by certainly increasing the quality and overall depth of the bred heifer section that will be auctioned on Saturday.We will then move into the heifer calf parade, where the peoples choice voting continues on with these open show females as they will be paraded for your viewing pleasure.These are the females that have been selected off the top of each breeding program, which will lead us to an exciting and competitive show once again. The Bull Futurity has continually been one of the feature events of the weekend as our great Platinum Sponsor; EBY TRAILERS have once again donated a 1-year lease on a brand new trailer. We will see an increase in bull calves shown this year as last year’s show was complimented by adding the Champion Futurity Bull to the sale and commanding $51,000 for 2/3 interests. As we wrap up the Friday entertainment, the evening program has been targeted to increase the entertainment factor by adding a hypnotist to the night and shortening the live auction. He proved himself by leaving us a dandy group of females. 67T was sold to Corona Creek Angus this spring after 5 calf crops at Glesbar.
