The Diamond T family is inspired by the ongoing passion and determination that is demonstrated in agriculture youth. This contagious appetite for learning, competition and friendship is truly what positions our industry with strength and success. This is why Diamond T has created the “Diamond Mine Scholarship Program to ensure that those families who invest in our genetics have every opportunity possible to them. For our inaugural Diamond Mine sale, it is important that we lead off with a GREAT one. Well, how about maybe two of the very best we have ever produced? Jestress 1324 is one of the stoutest, cowiest, most complete females we’ve raised in our 35 years of seedstock production. You will travel many miles before you find a female this functional and when she has her first calf... look out! Net Worth daughters are some of the greatest cows in purebred herds across North America and here is such an own-daughter.

SVR Jestress 305S

Donor Dam of Lot 1 & 2

The flushmate sister to our lead-off ‘diamond’ has the same mass and dimension but with a sweeter front end. So attractive and smooth in her head, neck and shoulders, she will catch many eyes in show ring after show ring. SVR Jestress 305S is one of most successful donors in Diamond T history, selling bulls in our annual bull sale, four (4) heifers retained in herd and females producing in such reputation purebred herds as 3G Ventures, Lauron and Bar-E-L.

Diamond T Tilda 1345 is the most eye-catching female in the whole pen. Right from Day One, she has been a frontpasture female. Her mother, purchased from the inaugural ‘Touch of Class’ sale in 2009, is a model Angus cow: moderate, massive-ribbed, gorgeousfronted with an udder you couldn’t draw any nicer. A female from Wilbar is a ‘precious jewel’ and 1345’s dam is no exception! This heifer MUST be jackpotted next spring because she is that good...

Lot 3

Some of the most consistent genetics in our herd over the last few years are the embryos we purchased from Fleming Stock Farm. They are the result of their donor cow, Fleming 203 Maureen, and performance powerhouse Vermilion Yellowstone. With Diamond T offering scholarship money year-after-year for these females as yearlings, 2 and 3-year olds as well as mature cows, these ‘Daisy’ cow-family heifers might be the safest investment for you to ‘mine’.

Full sibs to Daisy 1337 (flush daughter of the great Fleming 203 Maureen cow) have sold to Kendle Boyer, Erdman Ranch, Fleming Stock Farm and Blairs. Ag. We have a flush mate to these siblings who is on her second calf and all we can say is... WOW!! Put your confident in these two maternal, powerful, functional heifers that will put money back into your pocket.

These Soo-Line Kodiak 8045 daughters are truly amazing. The first great one was the high seller in the 2011 Chinook sale in Taber to Hahn Cattle Co. Another sale highlight was the high selling bred heifer that same fall at Bohrson’s inaugural Power & Perfection sale in Regina during Agribition, selling to Nielsen Land & Cattle. Bardolier Lass 1322 is a big-time District or County, Regional, Provincial 4-H show heifer-type made for the Angus division or ready to compete in an All Breeds section.

Maybe the most intriguing thing about Countess 1327 is the maternal power built into her pedigree. Her dam is a picture-perfect cow with length, depth and that maternal power that makes herd bulls or heifers that you have in the “keeper” pen. Two daughters of 31T, a 2007 Masterpiece purchase from the great Eastondale herd at Wawota, have sold to Texas Circle P Ranch and Nielsen Land & Cattle through the Chinook sale.

Lot 7

Our lead-off Red Angus heifer is a real gem. A Canadian pedigree packed with more maternal than you can imagine! An incredibly successful combination really working here at Diamond T is Mulberry 30X on our Rio Grande 520R daughters: a $6500 3/4 sibling to Jesse Nelson, MN at Red Round-Up last year; a full brother to 1314 sold to Munro Ranch in our annual bull sale; and a 3/4 brother that you will hear about in our next bull sale who represents the future of our program. 1314 is a great Red Angus heifer with growth, rib and a really sound foot.

The youngest heifer offered and what a powerhouse! A pedigree with maternal mashed together with performance throughout: Perks Chateau 309R, King Rob, Rambo, New Trend, Zama Pine and Mulberry – OH MY!!! Combine that with this heifer’s rib cage, sound, functional look and you have a young female to build a herd around. Juniors... these heifers are taken right from the top cut of our replacement pen so they are the ‘real deal’.

Lot 9

If there is a calf in the pen that was born to wear a show halter, its Amber 1338. Moderateframed with more rib than a hippo and a wicked-good head and neck that will catch any judge’s eye. If you’re a Junior or 4-H member that wants to grab a spring jackpot heifer who will lay down in 18 months and start producing great calves, this “diamond” is prime to be plucked by you!

A dark, cherry red beauty here. Serebl 1352 is a stunning calf with eye appeal, femininity and that great, now-legendary Mulberry-influence. This heifer is out of a wicked-cool uddered, hard-working cow that weans off calves 65-70% of her body weight each year. What an attractive show prospect here!

At Diamond T Cattle Co. there has always been a commercial herd as well: across the road at Roy’s is a group of Angus/ Simmental cross cows. Roy uses Diamond T Angus bulls and buys Simmental bulls with Lundago Livestock like McCormack Capital Investment, DJ Pitch and the famous Lock & Load. Those bulls run the pastures here and add some amazing hybrid vigour to our commercial breeding plan. Here is a true half-blood Angus/Simmie heifer that his huge-topped, bold-ribbed and a predictable great-cow-in-themaking. Juniors... you can show these heifers in either breed!

A really fancy Red SSS Soldier daughter with awesome hair. Roy bought a package of commercial Angus/Simmental bred heifers from the 2nd Annual “Cowgirls’ sale of SSS and Lazy MC last fall; what a set of firstcalvers! With great udders, tons of hair and big, capacious middles to them, they are a most exciting group, to be sure. There will be more halfblood Angus/Simmie heifers in the “Diamond Mine” sale series for years to come so get in on ‘the ground floor’ and purchase one this year.

How to bid online? DIAMOND MINE ONLINE PRODUCTION SALE DATES AND TIMES The auction has been set to run from 9:00 a.m. MST on Monday, October 7, 2013 with the Internet close out to start with the first lot at 7:00 p.m. MST Monday, October 14th. We will then proceed to sell each lot using a 45 second bidding clock until all lots are sold. Meaning once the pre announced time has expired without a bid that heifer will be considered sold to the last highest bidder. A sale order will be posted 9:00 am Monday the 14. If you don’t have computer access, phone in bids will be accepted at the numbers listed on the terms and conditions page. Be sure to register early to allow the necessary time to be put in to the system. HOW TO PARTICIPATE · In order to participate in the online auction you will need to pre-register and obtain a buyer number. · To do this, go to the LiveAuctions website, www.liveauctions.tv, and select Diamond Mine Online Sale. · After logging in the buyer registration form should pop up automatically. If it doesn’t there is a link you can select that says, “register for a buyer number” which is located right under your name in the top right hand corner. · This form requires you to fill out your banks name, city, state, phone number and a contact. · You may register to bid after bidding has opened but please remember that authorization to bid is not instantaneous. HOW THE AUCTION WORKS · Once you have a username and have received a buyer number then you are ready to bid.You will see a screen that is unique to your user ID. · There will be a list containing the sale lots. If you click on a lot the video clip or photo will be displayed to the right. The next bid, current price, proxy bid, and manual bid buttons will be displayed below the video area. This page will react to your bids by stating, “you are in” or “you are out”. · No one else will be able to see your bid – that data is not accessible to the public. · Each time you login, the auction screen will display your personal bidding information.Your auction screen is unique and private displaying your activity to only you. · Remember that you must have the lot that you are bidding on selected. This is where it tells you if you are in or out. It is here where you can also see your proxy bid settings(as applicable). WHAT IS A PROXY BID? With a proxy bid you can enter your maximum bid and then sit back and watch. When you enter a proxy bid amount the LiveAuctions system automatically bids on your behalf up to your maximum bid. If the lot closes out for less than your maximum, that’s all you pay. This means that you don’t have to keep coming back to re-bid every time another bid is placed. This makes it more convenient and less time consuming. It can also greatly assists those breeders that can’t be near a computer or are busy with other duties at the time of the final bidding. Your maximum amount is kept confidential from other bidders and the seller. Even though you can see this amount on your screen no one else can. The LiveAuctions system compares your bid to those of the other registered bidders and the system automatically places bids on your behalf, using only as much of your bid as is necessary to maintain your high bid position. The system will bid only up to your maximum amount as necessary to maintain you as the high bidder. If another bidder has a higher maximum, you’ll be outbid and the system will tell you that “YOU’RE OUT”. But, if no other bidder has a higher maximum you win the final bid. The final close out bidding process: After each sale we receive a few calls after the sale from breeders who were interested in bidding on a heifer but failed to watch the bidding clock and let the bidding time expire. When the bidding starts, the bidding clock will run for a pre announced time (usually 30 or 45 seconds or until there is a bid at which time the clock will rewind to its original 30 or 45 seconds. (Whatever time used will be preannounced). For example: if the bidding clock gets down to 1 second remaining then a higher bid is submitted, the clock will then restart. This rewind process will continue with each bid received until the allotted time elapses without a bid. Then the lot will be considered sold. So if you are interested in a particular heifer be sure to submit your bid while there is still time on the clock. This is where using the proxy bid can come in handy insuring you do not miss a bid! LiveAuctions staff will be happy to answer your questions. Jill Mader: (403) 990-9187 Brad Fahrmeier: (816) 392-9241
