The sale combines the top of each of our herds, with a nice combination of Fullbloods, red and black Simmental and Angus.

The bull sale offering is selected by all three programs with exceptionally high standards; we offer only bulls we would look for to improve our own herds with sound, high quality performance bulls, built to last and most importantly backed by great cow herds.

The Robb Farms operation has been responsible for many influential herd bulls working across the country and have walked some of the very best bulls the industry has seen. Their 2023 offering is extremely deep in quality with many bulls well represented by their sought after herd bulls, Stratton, Game Face and Big Red, to name a few. They also annually step up and purchae some of the most exciting embryos and pregnant recipeients that are shown throughout their portion of the catogloue. This offers new fresh genetics to their loyal, repeat customers we always see each year. The Reds are exciting beef bulls that are the right kind for todays industry. The Black bulls feature many calving ease options with many prominent Robb cow families up close in the pedigree and the Fullbloods although small in quantity are deep with quality with a polled, scurred and horned option all available, backed by exciting cows.

Hoegl Livestock has become world known for producing some of the most elite fullblood and purebred Simmental seedstock and their long list of repeat commercial buyers seen each year at this great event just speaks to their relevance in all aspects of the beef industry. They have diligently been working at incorporating some of the best polled fullblood genetics available and their offering for the 18th annual sale features mostly all polled and many Homo Polled options. It also will be one of their largest offering’s of Embryo Transplant bulls, both off of some of their own proven donor cows as well as some of the most exciting matrons within the industry. Their focus on building around elite cow families is extrmely evident in the 2023 offering. The Payne family of Greenwood Cattle are truly a household name within the Canadian Beef Industry that have recieved global recognition as being home to one of the most elite herds of Angus cows. This years offering is truly their deepest set of Angus bulls to date and the large, impressive cow families represented is truly commendable and predictable to the new buyers. 97% of the bulls are either direct Embryo Transplant bulls or their dams are the result of the ET program themselves. The other bulls are mothered by the impressive working cows that are so noteable within the powerful Greenwood herd. These Angus bulls are hairy, soft made, strong footed and big nutted with many heifer bulls, cow bulls and big time maternal bulls very well represented. We feel these are some of the most exciting Angus bulls to be offered all spring with many options to suit all sorts of different operations.

DAM - ALLIANCE MS DAKOTA DREAM

A real long bodied, loose hided fleck bull here that will sire you the payweight type cattle. Big boned, soggy made with a thick, dark haircoat. His sire is a special individual who sold through our 2020 sale and recently sired a $55,000 daughter through Friday Night Lights! His dam has been a great old producer that we still have that came from our acquisition of half the Kopp fullblood herd. Maternal brothers are at Y Coulee, Mannville Farming and 7C Ranch.

These “7G” sired sons were sure popular last year and moving forward we plan to make a lot more. 35K is an example of what he can do with added length and depth, putting a nice square hip on them while keeping them sound made and good looking. His powerful dam has put a replacement quality female in the pen every year and we are pleased to offer her first bull through the sale.

A traditional marked purebred bull here we really appreciate for his colour, hair, rib shape and big hip. These 7G sons are the type to invest in with confidence as they are all so consistent in type and kind. If you like moderate framed, powerfully made cattle, 58K is your bull.

A really dark made, great pigmented bull sired by Shamrock 10G. 27K is very square hipped and level on every corner, you really have to appreciate the way this bull carries himself, with the added rib shape and depth of body he carries. His productive dam seems to put a bull in the sale offering every year with sons at Sissons, Schwenk Farm & Feedlot and Plenty View Simmentals.

A very exciting individual within our 2023 sale offering is this Homo Polled, Fleckvieh herd bull that does so much right. lots 42 - 44: A trio of brothers that are the result of one of the very best flushes ever completed on the farm. Their donor dam was a striking female that excelled in body mass and udder quality, we unfortunately lost her, but are proud to have her influence live on in the great full sisters to these bulls in the replacement pen. Their sire was our $63,000 selection from Meadow Acres, Full Velocity 117F. Full Velocity has passed on the great traits that made us fall in love with him in these three powerhouses. 9K, 29K and 97K excel in natural body shape and dimension, are loose-hided, rugged made meat machines that have added frame and overall mass. All three of these scale crushers will leave you a set of the heavy weight steers in the fall and certainly won’t sacrifice the maternal side either as we have 7 full sisters that are the best in the replacement pen and another full sister was our feature red heifer calf that just sold through Friday Night Lights this past December to Sunny Valley Simmentals. A heifer’s first calf here in this calving ease individual that weaned off his first time mama early September at 880 pounds. This dark red, heavy haired bull with sire modest birth weight cattle that just get up and grow and never look back. We have really appreciated the Brisk progeny for doing just that the last couple years and feel they are unmatched when it comes to calving ease with growth and performance added on after.

The bulls are developed on grass with their dams and then moved onto a balanced TMR that promotes lean muscle growth.
