FROM SGAwelcome

Welcome to the Siroski Simmentals, Grass Roots Ranch, and Anchorage (SGA) Bull & Female Sale! We’re thrilled to introduce this brand-new event, bringing together three programs with a shared passion for cattle and the strong relationships that make this industry so special. Located just 3 miles outside of Davidson, the sale is easy to find, and for those unable to attend in person, bidding will be available online through DLMS. We’re excited to launch this event and can’t wait to share it with you!

Welcome to Siroski Simmentals! Our family, Brett and Brenna, began this journey in 2014 with a few purebred animals from Brett’s late uncle, Gerard Schmaltz. In 2019, we took a big step forward, and what started as a small beginning has grown into something we’re truly passionate about - advancing cattle genetics and building a program we’re proud to share. With the help of embryo transfer and carefully chosen genetics, we’ve been able to make meaningful progress in a short time. Brett’s interest in genetics inspires much of what we do, and our hardworking commercial cows, now dominant recipient females, are essential to shaping the future of our herd. Between cattle, grain farming, and family, there’s always something keeping us on our toes. Brenna continues to teach, and we’re raising our three kids - Reagan, Nolan, and Amy - who are learning the value of hard work and the rewards of farm life while managing their own full schedules. We’re grateful for the connections and shared experiences that this lifestyle brings, which is why we’re so excited to partner with these families.

At Grass Roots Ranch our family is made up of Rob and Kirstin and our young girls Cawley and Tilly. We are so excited to work together with great friends to have a live sale together. After selling our bulls privately and then Farmgate style through DLMS, this was a natural progression to having a live sale and, most importantly, working with people who share our values and that we really enjoy! Our program is made up of a little more than half Angus and the rest Simmental, plus or minus depending on our ET calves each year. We have a real passion for each breed and they are so complementary so we will be continuing at approximately 50/50 going forward. We are working hard to continue improving our product by investing in herdsires, strong females, and our ET program. We are definitely cow addicted and hope that our girls share this passion in the future. Rob works with Bohrson Marketing throughout the year and Kirstin works as a RN in Saskatoon at the Children’s Hospital. We appreciate all the past customers we have had the privilege to work with and look forward to building more relationships and continuing to progress in this challenging but rewarding business!

Anchorage Farms is a partnership of Jay (Beverly) Bohrson and Scott (Rebecca) Bohrson. We have built a program of Angus cows and moved to April/May calving at Hanley, SK. We will focus on developing 2 year old bulls that provide extra maturity, growth and maternal strength that our customers desire. 2024 was our 23rd Annual Bull Sale and due to a reduction in our cowherd and subsequent bull numbers we are pivoting and very excited to offer our select group of 2 year old Angus bulls with our great friends Siroski & Voice’s. The kids are definitely growing up but still very involved in the beef business. Riley is the oldest, living at Olds, Ab and an integral part of Scott & Becky’s Canadian Donors & Canadian Sires business, he is also taking on a more active role with the Bohrson Marketing crew at sales. Daughters Sienna & Avery enjoy the cattle and get to as many Junior shows as they can. While both focusing on their studies, they still find time to provide help with bull sale preparation and year round support on the farm (and still both playing a lot of hockey). Gracie and Thomas are very involved in Junior Beef programs in Alberta and you will find them both very active in the cattle barns whether it be showing or preparing sale cattle, and like all Bohrson’s they are playing a lot of sports. We look forward to this bull sale partnership, seeing old friends and making new ones while still offering the same customer service and hospitality that we are very proud of.

This sale is more than business - it’s about celebrating the relationships we’ve had for longer than we can remember and the new ones we’ve been fortunate to form along the way. Sharing our passion with others and bringing everyone together for a live event makes this first sale together feel special. With all of us having kids growing up in this industry, we try to lead by example, showing them the value of hard work, family, and strong relationships. Together, we’re shaping a future built on these principles, and we’re excited to welcome you to be a part of it.

If you can make it in person, you’ll find the animals sorted into smaller groups just outside the shop, making it easy to view them up close and take your time. We’ll have lunch ready, and you can count on warm hospitality throughout the day. For those unable to join us, we are working with the trusted team at Bohrson Marketing Services and they can assist in your selections. We will also have online bidding available through DLMS. Whether you attend in person or online, we look forward to connecting with you, sharing our programs, and making this new event a memorable one.

Thank you for your interest and support. We can’t wait to see you at the sale!

FROM BMSwelcome

On behalf of Bohrson Marketing Services, it is our pleasure to welcome you to the first-ever Siroski Grass Roots Anchorage (SGA) Bull & Female Sale. This exciting new event will take place on Wednesday, February 26th at Siroski Simmentals just a few miles west of Davidson, Saskatchewan. We are thrilled to showcase the combined efforts of three progressive and respected family operations: Siroski Simmentals, Grass Roots Ranch, and Anchorage Farms. It’s a great time in the cattle business and these young producers are brimming with excitement and optimism!

This sale represents the culmination of hard work, dedication, and a shared vision to provide high-quality genetics to the beef industry. The Siroski, Voice, and Bohrson families are closely aligned on their goals and vision for the sale and have extremely complementary programs. The offering includes an outstanding lineup of Simmental and Angus yearling bulls from Siroski and Grass Roots, and two-year-old Angus bulls from Anchorage, as well as a strong group of open replacement heifers - both purebred Simmental and commercial Simmental cross - from Siroski’s program. With depth in quality and genetics, this sale is an excellent opportunity for both commercial and registered producers to invest in proven, performance-driven cattle that will thrive in all environments and backed by programs that are keen, progressive, and integrity driven.

Whatever you’re looking for in the beef business, we are confident these operations have something to fit your criteria. If you’re looking to add power and performance to your bull battery, strengthen maternal traits, cover your yearling heifers and sleep all night, add a shot of chrome, or need an older bull that’s ready for heavy workload and to cover more cows - this group of consignors has something to meet your needs on the bull front. The open registered and commercial Simmental females are strong, ready to fit into any program, and backed by the great Siroski family who already has built a strong name for themselves in a young career.

We invite you to join us at the Siroski farm on February 26th for this exciting new sale. It is a great location just a few miles west of Davidson and on a main grid. The cattle will be available for viewing prior to the sale, and these families are eager to welcome you and share their programs. For those unable to attend in person, our team at Bohrson Marketing is highly familiar with all 3 programs and geared up to assist you in any way.
