The Bohrson Marketing Team is pleased to present the 13th Annual Western Select Limousin Sale. The influence from the Western Select sale has shared their genetics around the entire world. In 2024 many areas in Canada had our pasture situation and the production of silage and hay, advance in leaps and bounds. The commercial cattle industry is steaming along and the fall purebred sales have created tremendous atmosphere with solid financial rewards.
The Western Select Sale welcomes a long yearling bull entry that carries a rich pedigree with a calving ease package. The bred heifer division continues to be a highlight and we have a list of donor quality females and a solid brood cow prospect lineup. Red or black, we have a deep selection and many are bred early to leading sires. Once again the calendar year calves are a well presented group with several hitting the show ring at Farm Fair and Agribition.
Our 2024 lineup includes many of our traditional consignors. We are pleased to welcome from Manitoba two first time Limousin programs. Both Amaglen and Cherway Limousin are long time Limousin members and supporters. These consignments come from the top of their programs and are truly a benefit to this year's event.

How to participate in the DLMS Farm Gate Timed Auction with Extended Bidding:
Wednesday, December 11 - 9 AM MST - bidding begins
1. Visit https://farmgatetimedauctions.ca, click the LOGIN/REGISTRATION button. First time users will select the REGISTER button from this page. Fill out the registration form to sign up for a free user account and it allows you to select a user name and password for use on all Farm Gate Timed auctions. This program will send you text and email messages whenever there is activity on your favorite lots or someone challenges your proxy bid and this is why you will be asked for both your current email and cell phone number. If you are a past participant in the Farm Gate Timed auctions simply enter your user name and password to continue. This takes you to a list of both current and upcoming Farm Gate Auctions.
2. You can choose your favorite lots in this sale at this time and the program will allow you to open either all sale lots or just your favorite lots on your screen. Anytime there is active bidding on a lot you have identified on your favorite list you will get a text and/or an email noting this activity.
3. The program allows you to place a proxy bid on any sale lot. This in fact protects your interest in any lot of interest for you to a specified dollar value you set, when you may not be able to give 100% attention to the sale. If the lot has a $2000 bid on it and you place a proxy bid of $3500 into the system, the computer will bid $2100 for you but if someone else bids $2200, the computer will again bid for you, this time at $2300. The system will look after your interest to a maxiumum of $3500. If another bidder is on at $3600, your proxy will no longer be effective and you will not longer have the winning bid on this lot without once again logging in and bidding again or moving your attention to a second lot of interest.
4. At closing time of the sale the entire sale will extend bidding for 5 minutes if a bid is placed on any lot in the sale. Any bid received after 7 PM MST will extend the sale by 5 minutes from the time of that bid. When no bidding occurs for 5 min the computer will declare the sale finished.
5. Within 24 hours of the sale close the Sale Manager, Bohrson Marketing Services will contact all winning bidders to arrange payment, transfer of pedigrees and deliver/pickup of your lot.
If you require assistance with using the DLMS Farm Gate website, if you don’t understand how to create a favorites list, if you can’t figure out the proxy bid or you just plain want to bid via phone, please talk to any of the DLMS team or Sale Consignors.
WHAT IS RACEHORSE STYLE SALE CLOSE? Racehorse style sale close is when the entire sale stays open in extended bidding. This type of sale allows you as the bidder to change to a different lot within the same sale if the bidding has gone into extended bidding.
HOW WILL EXTENDED BIDDING WORK? When we get to the close out end time the clock for close extends with any bid placed with less than 5 min on the clock. This type of extended bidding turns the end time to more of a soft time. Extended bidding allows bidders to compete in lots like a real auction and gives all bidders the same time to make a decision. Always follow the clock to see how much time remains in the sale you are interested in.
If you require assistance with the Racehorse auction process or bidding via phone talk to any of the DLMS team or sale consignors and we can help you in purchasing the lot you are interested in.

Last Call has the calving ease look and the numbers and pedigree to back it up. Last Call is ultra smooth fronted, very long sided, level topped, and a well balanced bull. His dam, Greenwood Too Much Fun 27J was 2022 Reserve Champion Female Agribition and also 2022 CJLA National Champion Female at the Junior Show in Olds for Riley. The Shift x Too Much Fun mating is a winning combination. Last Call's extra age will truly benefit covering more females in his first breeding season. HP test pending.

A very attractive Ally daughter that never did herself justice in the picture pen. Her full sister was one of our favorite milking 2 year olds this spring. We will have 10 milking 702A daughters this coming spring and they will create the future of our limo herd. We really believe in the feet and udders of these females. 703L is very good footed, straight in her lines and pretty headed and attractive through her front 3rd. Safe bet for a productive cow.
Bred to Diamond C Kingsman 5K on April 2. (safe)
No exposure.
A typical Electric Impact daughter. Really neat pedigree in this one where you will find Wisteria Lane, Tickle My Fancy, Young&Restless and Too Much Fun x 2. Talk about loaded with cow power. 63L is attractive in her design, sound made, deep ribbed and developing an awesome udder.
Bred to Greenwood Shift PYN 716J on March 28. (safe)

This Homo Polled female is one of the first Shift female’s to be offered for sale, she brings an impressive pedigree that blends the best of both proven and progressive genetics. 89L is muscular, clean lined and attractively designed. Bred for an early Kingsman calf makes her an ideal candidate to pay for herself with her first calf. Bred to Diamond C Kingsman 5K on March 29. (safe) No exposure.
A soggy individual that’s dog quiet. Correct in her structure, nice back leg and an extremely easy keeper. Her dam is a past high selling feature of the Western Select to Highland Stock Farms for $22,000. This one has many similar qualities to her dam but she underperformed in the picture pen. You can’t tell from the photo but this is the biggest topped female of the group.
Bred to Greenwood Shift PYN 716J on March 29. (safe) No exposure.

A direct daughter of the original Wisteria Lane, a cow that’s done as much for our program as any with over $300,000 of progeny and embryo sales. 714L is long and big hipped. She is easy fleshing and a high capacity female with a maternal look and ideal front third and head carriage.
Bred to Greenwood Shift PYN 716J on March 29. (safe) No exposure.
A favorite around here phenotypically and comes with a loaded pedigree. The Zoom Bloom x Electric Impact mating creates what you would expect in terms of mass, middle third and overall capacity. You won’t find a bigger middled one. 16L is flawless in her design and sound on the move and at the ground. Bred early to an exciting new calving ease bull Rooster will give you the only Rooster calf not born at Greenwood in 2025!

A dark red, hairy female that is bold sprung in her rib shape and stout hipped. A maternal sister was a feature high seller in last year’s sale to Plains Limousin. If you like moderate, stout cattle that come from a productive cow line look closely here.
Bred to Greenwood Shift PYN 716J on Mar 27. (safe) No exposure.
Fancy show heifer prospect with extra length and perfect lines that lead into a long sleek neck. Heavy muscled, big boned and a cocky look would best describe this one. She’s extremely stout yet carries herself with ease. The Fugitive x Ally 702A combination has worked very well. We’ve only scratched the surface of what we feel is to come for 702A. Have some fun with this one on the halter and then let her be an impactful cow.

High's Lily is the first Handiwork female that we have offered, quiet and correct. Handiwork has been a staple here the last few years producing top bulls and heifers. Lily is from a consistent TMF Westwood producer we purchased from Top meadow farms. We have used TMF 316A bulls on our own cows and she has a female working for Arcon. Lily has the performance and look to be a good addition to anyone's herd. AI to Wulfs Going Flying a true heifer bull that has produced some top calves here at High Cattle Co.

Going back to one our foundation cows families the TMF 501X cow, Monica is packed with genetic potential and to prove it she is off of a first calf heifer. Her sire Energize was a bull we showed at Agribition that drew lot of interest and worked for Stewarts for many years.

Lena 227L was purchased from the Allen family at Windy Gable in Ontario last fall as we appreciated her shape, substance and pedigree. We had plans to attend the 2024 CJLA Show and utilize Lena but plans never panned out and we appreciate the service by Windy Gable. She did get to Sask this summer and she is the deepiest, stoutest, easiest doing female on the farm. We have decided to offer her for sale due to the early service and the opportunity that we feel she will present for another breeder. Powerful female.

Dancin 306L is one of the coolest breds we have ever offered! Dancin 306L is extremely stylish, long bodied and deep chested. Her dam is one of the first Eisenhower daughters milking in Canada, the milk production on these Eisenhower daughters is second to none and their udders have great texture and shape. Pedigree wise, she is the most docile genetics we have in the breed and she really is as quiet as a kitten. The kids absolutely loved her, as a calf they took her out to the Westlock Fair where she was crowned Grand Champion Continental Heifer. Phenotypically she is well balanced, with a long neck, powerful chest, and big top. Bred to the Commitment bull she is carrying a very cool ticket and her real potential is all the possibilities she has as a breeding chip.

Darling 363L is a big powerhouse type female, she is massive topped and is absolutely carrying a massive limo quarter. Darling 363L is structurally sound, great footed with massive rib shape. The Hercules bull was our pick of the Bar 3R herd and he has not disappointed, his females have been stunning and have bred right up early. She is bred to the Richmond Jackpot 29J he has proven to have exceptional calving ease and big muscle shape. The expected calf out of this young lady will be a pen topper with big hip and top.

Honey 372L is a hairy, deep sided, big top female that is a true phenotypical gem. The Jackpot 29J and Cadilac Jack cross really knocked it out of the park. The best place to see this heifer is in person, she is clean fronted, smooth shouldered, wide chested, bold ribbed and powerful quartered. The Cadiallc Jack females are perfectly uddered and great footed. Massive potential to really be a great one and she has the phenotype to get it done and the genotype to back it up. Honey 372L is bred to our new calving ease sire Highs Leader who was bought out of the top of the High bulls sale last spring. Resulting calf will be Homo Polled by pedigree.

Envious 379L is out of a really stacked pedigree. It is pretty rare we ever part with an Envious they are a real back bone to our herd, so much so we try to place at least one in every pasture as a lead cow. They always have a great attitude and if they are within ear shot they will come running when called. Envious 379L is one of the most docile heifers, last year we scored her not just as quiet but extremely quiet when weaned. She is also a very long bodied, hairy typed heifer with a great foot shape and profiles really well, she is angular in her make up and is out of a very productive cow that is very consistent with a picture perfect udder. With Galahad as the sire she is sure to be a great milker. We love the thought of the mating to the Richmond Jackpot bull and how the cross should really work well together.

Bride’s Lace is long bodied and laying down a beautiful udder like her young dam, Cherway Heartstrings 11H, that has once again brought home an exceptional heifer this fall and carrying an early calf for 2025. We can’t say enough about our JYF Galveston daughters and this one is no exception. She is a thick made heifer with strong EPDs and a phenotype to match. She comes from a “cow making” cow family. Approximately 22% of our herd is part of this one particular cow family which is a testament to their maternal qualities and production. They are consistent in what they raise, are good mothers, have pleasing dispositions and will raise you replacement females and bulls for the bull pen. Liberty has a lot to offer the industry – she is correct in her makeup, broody while maintaining femininity and above average EPDs.

This heifer is truly one of a kind! Her dam is a December born 4 year old that we absolutely believe will become a donor at Amaglen. She consistently raises a great calf, has an absolute picture perfect udder and is the kind of female we are striving to raise. Martin actually selected both Maybelle and her full sister and we knew we could only part with one. This heifer calf is extremely docile and was a dream for the girls to halter break. The girls really don’t want to part with this sweetheart but we feel that she is an excellent opportunity for another junior. We believe in data at Amaglen and this little lady is well above average in all Growth and Maternal EPDs as well as Carcass. She’s the total package.

Who wouldn’t want to spend some time in Miami? This heifer makes it feel like you are on vacation with how easy doing she is. Her sire needs no introduction in our herd as B Bar Wrangler has added depth of body, milking ability and muscle shape to his calves. On the dam side DJE Exquisite has been a no miss cow and put her all, in to each calf. Miami is the third Wrangler sired calf she has raised and definitely another good one as she is one of the most show appealing heifers we have raised. She is a complete package with muscle shape, depth of body and topped off with respectable EPDs. Juniors, if you are considering attending the 2025 Impact show, we will work with you on either of our heifers as Swift Current is just 10 minutes away.
Another Wrangler heifer we think very highly of. This heifer continually caught our eye throughout the summer as she is a very showy, feminine heifer. She is a balanced heifer front to back with great depth of body and again very respectable EPDs. Her dam SGL Drama Queen is one of many Richmond Zeus daughters at Short Grass that have added maternal power to the cow herd. The first Wrangler daughters did a great job for us this summer and we expect Mercedes to be no exception. Juniors, if you are considering attending the 2025 Impact show, we will work with you on either of our heifers as Swift Current is just 10 minutes away.
