GUIDE TO LEATHER GEAR & ESSENTIALS

The world’s hottest leathermen come to Chicago to compete for the title of International Mr.. Leather 2013, as IML celebrates its 35th Anniversary, Memorial Day Weekend . Since 1979, when a few hundred gay leathermen gathered in Chicago for the first International Mr.. Leather contest, the event has grown to be an annual tradition for thousands in the leather community, drawing contestants and attendees from around the globe. Once an event for “hard core” leathermen, IML has expanded in recent years to include a more diverse crowd, from the experienced to the curious. In addition to the contest, preliminaries and other official events, the Leather Market features more than 120 vendors from around the world vending items of interest to the leather and kink world, is a big draw and is open to anyone 21 years and over. For those not holding IML ticket packages, a pass is needed to enter the Leather Market at Riverside Center. There is a $5.00 suggested donation, with all proceeds going to the Leather Archives and Museum, needed for daily admission. For a donation of $10, a pass is available that provides immediate access to the Leather Market during all open hours. Wristbands are color-coded for each day of IML and a full Weekend Market “Pride Pass” is available to those who want to come and go all weekend long. Many of the vendors participating in the Leather Market are profiled in our extensive “Market Place” feature in this issue. In addition to the many official IML events, there are dozens of other parties and events scheduled for Memorial weekend. For coverage on the parties and events geared toward the IML, BearPride and locals, check out our expanded “In the Know on the Go” column on page 57 in this issue. boiMAG

Memorial Day Events While it seems that Chicago is all about leather on Memorial Day Weekend, there are other noteworthy events going on as well. If you’re looking for a change of pace or just want to venture out and see what Chicago has to offer, check out these events. The summer schedule for Navy Pier fireworks officially kicks of on Memorial Day weekend. This weekend also marks the official opening of all of the lake front parks and beaches. While the weather may not be warm enough for swimming or sunbathing (or it might be, you never know in Chicago), it’s still a great place to get some fresh air and people watch. The Belmont-Sheffield Music Festival, offers a chance to sample some local fare, learn about the neighborhood and, of course, listen to some great music. The Field Museum will unveil its new exhibit, Extreme Mammals, The Art Institute of Chicago is exhibiting the work of seminal American pop artist Roy Lichtenstein. The Red Hot Chili Peppers will be playing at the Allstate Arena. Check out Kelly Hogan and Scott Lucas and the Married Men at Millennium Park. 12 boiMAG

Bike the Drive takes place on Sunday, May 26 and is an annual Memorial Day weekend cycling event and festival that takes place right on the Lake front as well as on Lake Shore Drive, which is closed off to automobile traffic during the early morning ride. You can bike at your own pace and enjoy the skyline and beautiful Lake Michigan while you cruise the 30-mile route with avid cycling enthusiasts and other Chicagoans out for some scenic exercise. There is a whole festival with multiple activities surrounding the event. For more information including times and registration, check out the official site at www.bikethedrive.org The Electric Daisy Carnival is an international annual electronic and dance music festival that is one of the world’s largest celebrations of electronic music. This year the event’s producer, Insomniac, is bringing the event to the Chicago area for Memorial Day Weekend. It is being held at the Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, IL. Grammy nominee and award-winning singer, songwriter, musician, producer, actress and designer, Cathy Richardson brings her band to City Winery on Saturday, May 25. Tickets are $15. Richardson starred as Janis Joplin in the Off Broadway hit Love, Janis. She later toured the U.S. with Big Brother and the Holding Co. (and still does when schedules align) and in 2008 became the lead singer for psychedelic rock originators Jefferson Starship with founding members Paul Kantner, Marty Balin and David Freiberg. TOUCHE Chicago’s Leather Bar Touché is Chicago’s oldest leather bar, and like a fine piece of leather, it wears its age like a patina. To finish up the weekend, Monday, May 27th is the annual “Memorial Day Beer Bust & Survivor Party.” With both the Bulls and the Blackhawks into their playoffs and the Cubs & Sox seasons in full swing, there is always a good game to watch on the bar’s HD screens. While at the bar, enter the bike raffle. The drawing for the tandem bike on display above the bar will take place during the bar’s annual Memorial Day Cookout. Entry forms are available at the bar, just fill it out and turn it over to your bartender. For more information on Touche’s events this weekend see their ad in this issue.

Put A Little Elbow Grease Behind It

In 1979, Elbow Grease’s original cream exploded onto the market offering men a new greaseless, odorless, thick, creamy lubricant that was sensual and pleasurable for all types of sex. Before that, for many Crisco was the lube of choice, however, it quickly went rancid and left you smelling like an order of fries. “Elbow Grease was an immediate hit with all men and their sexual fantasies, it covered everything”, says David Mazer, president and owner of B. Cumming Company.

Soon after its introduction, the cream became a hit in the leather community. Responding to market demand for more choices and styles of sexual creams, B. Cumming formulated a light, hot and hot/light version of Elbow Grease. Today, Elbow Grease comes in a variety of creams, gels, “The software is much more intuitive now and uses the most popular aspects water-based formulas and Fusion silicone Bodyglide. of other social networking apps like Celebrating over 30 years of success, Facebook.” said Kirk Schumacher, the company is poised to offer the latest manager of Stark Mobile, adding, “We needs of the personal lubricant market! wanted to include features like side www.fusionlubricants.com panel navigation which regular app users are already comfortable and happy I Can’t Believe It’s Boy Butter with, so we did exactly that!” You know the makers of Boy Butter, The recipient of the Odyssey Magazine a popular personal lubricant, have a sense of humor about their product. “Best Gay App of 2012” award, GuySpy The brand’s motto is “Try squeezing a is the fastest growing online social network for men who like men and the little Boy Butter into your tight agenda new go-to place for gay, bi, and curious today!” guys to meet. 22 boiMAG

Leather Gear & Essentials So, when they, in their words, “Saw a hole in the market we were anxious to fill,” they decided that the first television ad campaign for their product would be a humorous parody of the television ads for I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter, showing just a couple’s hands. A little nervous about launching their first television advertising campaign, they chose markets with a high gay (and presumably gay-friendly) population. They got the OK from every city, except San Francisco! “The agents from Comcast in San Francisco declined to air our ‘You Won’t Believe It’s Not Boy Butter’ spot because it was deemed too controversial,” says Boy Butter creator Eyal Feldman. The rejection in the world capitol of gay culture shocked the team at gay-owned and operated Boy Butter. “Another gay milestone is happening and it is such a shame that San Francisco of all places will miss out on the fun. It smacks of anti-gay bias and makes me feel like fighting for truth, justice, and personal lubrication!” exclaimed Feldman. To see the spot check out www.boybutter.com

The group included such future luminaries as Danny DeVito, Judd Hirsch, Sally Kirkland and Ron Leibman who performed exclusively in the Theatre of the Living Arts on South Street in Philadelphia. By the mid- to late-60s, the funding for the theatre was running out and it was converted to a movie house showing an eclectic mix of classic and foreign films. The founding partners of TLA ran the theater. For the next six years, the TLA would be one of the nation’s leading repertory art movie theatres. The original TLA Theater still stands on historical South Street in Philadelphia. In 1985, recognizing that video was a rapidly expanding genre, and one that was eroding the core audience for repertory movie theatres, TLA opened its first video store in a small space next door to the TLA theater. The TLA Store became wildly popular and branches were opened in area, including New York. Acknowledging that the Internet was the next step for retailing, TLA launched TLAvideo.com in 1997, leading it to becoming the world’s leading retailer of gay and lesbian films as well as one of the most trafficked video sites on the Internet. Filthy Waters ...

an interview with John Waters

By Gregg Shapiro There doesn’t seem to be anything that John Waters, America’s premier queer Renaissance man, can’t do. He’s a filmmaker, an author, a journalist, a visual artist, an obscure music aficionado and monologist. He practically invented (and later perfected) the indie film genre. A raconteur of the highest order, Waters’ has been touring his one-man show “This Filthy World” around this filthy world for several years, revising and refining with each performance. I had the honor of speaking with John earlier this month. GS: The last time we spoke was at the time of the publication of your book Role Models. Looking back on it, how would you rate the experience of writing and publishing that book? JW: It was one of the best experiences of my life. It was a best seller on the New York Times best seller list – one week! – and it was many weeks on the LA Times best seller list, and other lists. I just finished my new book, called Car Sick, for FSG, the same publisher. Writing books is something that I’ve always enjoyed doing. Both Shock Value and Crackpot have never gone out of print. I’ve had good luck with writing books. I read all the time so it’s proper that I continue to write books just as much as I try to make movies. GS: What is Car Sick about? JW: In Car Sick I hitchhiked by myself across America, a year ago this coming Monday (May 13). The first part of the book is me imagining, before I left, the 15 very best rides that could happen, with sex and adventure, and then the very worst 15 rides I could imagine, which ended in my death. And, then the next day I did it for real, which was 21 rides in nine days. 40 boiMAG

GS: Where did you go? JW: From the front door of my Baltimore house to the front door of my San Francisco apartment. GS: In addition to being an author, filmmaker and aficionado of distinctive holiday music, you are also a stage performer, with your “This Filthy World” live show, for example. What do you enjoy about performing in front of an audience? JW: I can always play myself easier than I can play somebody else. I like writing the material. It’s another writing job. It’s another way for me to tell stories. I meet my audience. I test jokes and I can talk about something that happened that very day. It’s something that is constantly revitalized, I hope, and updated. I sing for my supper, that’s how I make my living. GS: Can you see a significant evolution of “This Filthy World” since you first performed it? JW: It came from when Divine and I used to go to colleges and show the movies. It would be a 5-10 minute introduction and I would come out dressed kind of like a hippie pimp in shirts with shrunken heads on them. I think (punk musician and actor) Stiv Bators wore that same shirt in Polyester years later. I would talk about nudist camp movies and things that nobody else ever talked about then. Then I would introduce Divine and he would come out. His act was very much like the act that was in Female Trouble. He would rip a telephone book in half. He would throw dead fish in the audience. Then, if we had more of a budget, if it was a bigger city, we would have a fake cop – because I had a stolen police uniform and a short-haired wig and we would cast some cute guy as the cop who would come on stage and pretend to take us away for obscenity and Divine would strangle the cop.

The audience would cheer and the movie

(continued on following page)

Interview with John Waters continued..... would start. That’s how it began. I’m sure it never could be that good [laughs]. Now it’s gotten to the point where I don’t show my movies, I don’t even talk that much about my movies, because it has become much more of a spoken word act. I was influenced by the baggy pants comedians that I used to see at the Gaiety Burlesque in Baltimore at the end of vaudeville. I’m probably the only film director that has a standup act. No, Kevin Smith does, too. He has one. His is very good. GS: Are there any new music compilations on the agenda, perhaps one with a same-sex marriage theme? JW: [Laughs] Maybe same-sex divorce. That would be, to me, a newer subject. I always said if you want to make money, invest in gay divorce and tattoo removal. Two of the biggest growth industries we’re going to have in the next decade. I doubt I’ll do another compilation, the record business is not so great and I love those two albums, but I did not have a great relationship the company that put them out. I think they bungled it. You know what? Everybody says that about music. Except, now I have proof [laughs]. I think I was kind of soured from that experience, even though I was really pleased with the music. They were received quite well. I always wanted to do one called Breaking Up With John Waters. All great music is about breaking up. You ever heard a good, soulful song about a happy, functional marriage? I don’t know of any. They’re usually like, [sings] “Love and marriage…,” Doris Day or something and I like that, too. I think that breaking up usually inspires more songs. I had a great picture of me that was never used from when we released Cry-Baby. I had a shot

of every star at the end with a single tear, crying like Cry Baby. I shot one of myself, and that would be the cover. GS: Do you think you will ever create a sitcom or dramatic series for television? JW: I have already written Hairspray as a pilot, so, yes, I think it would certainly be possible. I’m not saying against it. I think TV certainly has as much freedom as independent film does and you’re paid better and there’s more chance of getting it made.

GS: Do you have any new movies in the works? JW: I don’t spend a lot of time doing that because I think the independent film, as I knew it, is over right now. They want me to make a movie for half a million dollars, which I’ve done, and have no desire to do again. The rest of my career is going better than it ever has in my whole life. Right now I can’t afford to make movies. I had a meeting this week about another movie. I’m still trying to make them, but the business has radically changed. It’s great if you’re 16 or 18 and starting to make movies, it is the best time ever. Hollywood is looking for you. boiMAG 43

Chicago Spotlight ... DJ Psycho Bitch By Gregg Shapiro

DJ PsychoBitch has been spinning in Chicago and around the globe for 30 years. She was a resident DJ on Q101’s “Sonic Boom” as well as XM, the first satellite radio station, among many other Internet radio shows. DJ Psycho-Bitch was also the music director and DJ at Cairo, Vortex and the Manhole and has played at all the bars on Halsted. On May 25 at 10 p.m., DJ Psycho-Bitch spins at Smart Bar with her pal Teri Bristol. When did you come out and what was the experience like for you? Honestly, I knew I was “different” when I was about four. I always had girl crushes but I was too scared to tell anyone. I didn’t know any gay people until high school. Of course, none of them admitted it either. I didn’t feel safe telling anyone as a teenager in the ‘70s, but when I turned 21 in the early ‘80s it was on! The first woman I made out with was a bartender at a place called Celebrity Club. Then after the place closed, I went home with her and it was AMAZING! Finally, I could be who I was! Please name a few of your GLBT heroes and say a few words about why you chose them.

Harvey Milk, Courageous, brave, one of the first to really stand up and be heard. I wish there was a gay history class because our younger people in the community should really have an idea of who he was. Ellen DeGeneres, Not only is she courageous and brave, kind and generous, but she paved the way for a lot of celebrities after her. There would have never been a Will and Grace or a Modern Family if it weren’t for her. My favorite thing about her, no matter what, even in her comedy she is always positive and never 46 boiMAG

mean or negative. We need more of her. Mark Stephens, Mark was hands down the most talented DJ I have ever known, seen or heard. He taught me so much. That there was so much more to DJing then playing records. (He had) integrity. He was such a beautiful man and I’ve never stopped missing him since he passed many years ago. Teri Bristol, My bestest friend in the whole wide world ever! Hard to believe it’s been over 30 years. My partner in crime, my shoulder to cry on, my laugh buddy, the person who I know, no matter good or bad, will be brutally honest with me. She has taught me more than she will ever know about life. The downside is we fight like sisters [laughs]. As a fellow DJ, she is my favorite DJ to play with. She and I have the ability to play off each other so it’s seamless as if we were one. Together, focusing on the goal of making that event, that party, that moment the best and most fun it can be through the music. What do you consider to be your most significant contribution to the GLBT community in Chicago and at large? I would say my time is my most significant contribution. By this, I mean volunteering my time and/or DJ services for fund raisers and benefits. Also, mentoring up –and-coming DJs and encouraging them to give back to our community. What are your future goals and aspirations? I really want to travel more, but non-work related [laughs]. Spend more time with friends and just continue living life to the absolute fullest. Words of wisdom to the next GLBT generation. Lead by example! Be who you are! Do what you love! Stand up for what you believe in! Spread some love and positivity! Don’t ever give up! Be happy & enjoy life!

In The Know, On The Go In all my time writing this column has the title been more apt. It looks like we’ll need to be in the know and on the go non-stop. Let’s begin with a little local news before we get into all the events associated with IML and BearPride.

Decisions, Decisions

How do we organize all the craziness that goes on between now and Memorial Day? How about I start with regular events, and then break it down for you by official IML and BearPride events as well as those who have jumped on the IML/Bear bandwagon? ‘Kay?

Ooooooooooh Child, They is Mad

The Pridefest line-up has been announced and Facebook is simply burning up with local GLBT performers complaining about lack of representation at the event. Well, there is Miss Foozie hosting a pet parade, a drag show, Chicago Spirit Brigade, Chicago’s Gay Men’s Chorus and The Chicago Cowboys. There’s nothing wrong with cheerleaders, drag queens and the gay chorus (I’ve been the first three and if I could carry a tune or dance, I’d be in the other two), but our community is so much more than played out disco divas and reality show runners-ups. I see their point. Where are the local rockers, pop and folk singers? I love me some big ol’ lesbian up there with a guitar rockin’ it out.

Regular Stuff

Aurora Sexton returns to Kit Kat Memorial day Weekend, performing in the evening, while Madame X continues with the fagulous Saturday/Sunday brunch crowd... Smart Bar’s 30th anniversary/Queen! oneyear anniversary party on Sunday May 26 will blow you away. Mr. Frankie Knuckles leads an all-star event featuring Michael Serafini and Garrett David with hosts Byrd Bardot, Sal-e, Louis Lazu and Ruby Dee… Booze-a-palooza, Pate’s annual birthday bash, on Friday, May 17, at Parlour, will benefit ASPCA. Fabulous raffles, prizes,

treats for you and your pooch, Jell-O shots, and lots of giveaways with special guest DJ Julian Hall promise a night of fun… EQ IL roasts Tommy Holl with drag performances and live music at Sidetrack on Wednesday, May 22. It’s $20 at the door, which includes one drink ticket and one door prize ticket. The money raised goes toward EQ IL… Honey West wrangles the crowd at Roscoe’s for “You’re A Star” karaoke on Wednesday nights… Hambingo at Hamburger Mary’s benefits Team to End AIDS on Sunday, May 26, and starts at 8 p.m. It’s always fun to try to eat and drink while balancing your bingo cards... Hunter’s popular Noche Latina, (that’s Latin night for you gringos) brings it on Sundays.

Street Talk

As we teased last issue, looks like Progress Bar might be open just in time for Pride… Hunter’s has had a kind of renaissance, which has piqued the interest of other suburban promoters. Hell, even 15th Ave. Bookstore in Melrose Park has instituted a Thursday night party called GboyNightCLUB, which they bill as “The playground for Gboys/Men/Bisexed males” (what, they can’t say gay?) It’s supposed to begin May 30. We’ll see how that shakes out... Nationwide Video is closing its Broadway location and that means bargains, bitches! They don’t want to move all that porn (oh, and the regular stuff, too) so they’re puttin’ stuff on sale in both stores, cause they have to make room at the Belmont location, which is staying open.

Coming Out of Hibernation

BearPride runs concurrent with IML and brings all the bears and cubs out of hibernation. There are official BearPride activities, as well as other bear-themed events. The best way to list all the activities is to do so chronologically (see I can use multi-syllable words), so here goes: There’s a welcome party at Manhandler on (continued on following page)

boiMAG 57

In The Know, On The Go Wednesday, May 22... Then, kick off BearPride Weekend at Sidetrack on Thursday afternoon, May 23, presented by Absolut OUTrageous... That’s followed with an early-bird party at Touché, which features a Bear Magazine model search and guest DJ Mark Vallese... Grrrr Bear Night, Friday, May 24, is Sofo Tap’s weekly bear night... The Hideaway in suburban Forest Park, hosts a bear-themed underwear party that night... Sidetrack lures the bears back with “Bear-eoke” on Saturday afternoon, May 25. Beginning at 1 p.m., show ‘em your pipes at this annual Bear karaoke event... Later that evening, “Bearly Conscious” at Parlour on Clark features musical performances by Scott Free, Mike Grimes and Blue Redder... “Pajama Party”, one of the official BearPride parties invites folks to boogie in their bear jammies. It starts at 9 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Chicago... On Sunday, May 26, Sofo hosts Growlr BBQ in the afternoon... Then head over to the “Nuts to Butts” dance at Vision Nightclub... Things wind up on Monday, May 27, with Bear-BQ from 1-5 Sidetrack. Chow down with your fellow fellows at this annual bear barbecue. It’s a feeding frenzy, followed by Sidetrack’s popular Monday show tunes until closing.

Knights in Black Leather

Mr. Chicago Leather 2013 Nick Zuko, hosts

the official IML “Best of Chicago” welcome party on Wednesday, May 22, at Touché. The official kick-off to IML XXX5 will also feature a demo by Chicago Hellfire Club and a Berghoff beer tasting... Redemption, the new party at Circuit, on Friday, May 24, salutes IML with DJ guest stars from around the country, including, Baiee-Audio, Adonis Childs, Benji Gunplay, K’nex, David Britton, Mel Hammond, Nick Holm and Ricky Sinz.... B’Low the popular new lower level bar in Downtown, just a hop, skip and a jump from all the IML fun, is hosting an underwear party that night. Let’s be clear, you don’t have to hop, skip and jump (I’d pay to watch leathermen do that) to get there, but you do have to check your clothes... Touche holds a “Full Moon” party, even if there isn’t one... Even Lucky Horseshoe gets in on the action with Fetish Dancers on 58 boiMAG

Saturday, May 25, starting at 2 p.m. (What? Those boys come out in daylight?)... At B’low, it’s “Kinky Karaoke”...Touche’s “Gear Fetish” night is on Saturday... The annual Military Ball is at Circuit on Saturday with NYC DJ Chris Pedilla, free with military attire until 11:30pm. Sofo Tap hosts its own fetish party and all fetish expressions welcome (even mine about a naked guy eating ice cream from the carton?)... Back at Touché, it’s “Dark & Dirty” on Sunday, May 26, as Gun Oil presents Chad Brock with a live show at midnight. There will be dirty dancers, DJ Intelect and free clothing check... B’Low is getting all greased up for leather action with “Harness”... Touché winds things up with its annual Memorial Day beer bust on Monday, May 27, starting at 4 p.m. A cook-out and 50¢ Bud and Bud Light drafts all day means that everyone will be nice and loose at 10 p.m. with the “Survivor” party, and honey, this has got nothin’ to do with that reality show.

Grab Some Prime Beef

In addition to IML and BearPride, it’s also time for The Grabby Awards this weekend. The Grabby is the Oscar of the porn world., and on Saturday, May 25, Chi Chi LaRue and Honey West will host the awards at a new venue, The Center on Halsted. There will be more porn stars than you can shake a stick at, including, Brent Corrigan, Tommy Defendi, Greg Grove, Trenton Ducati, Max Ryder and Michael Brandon. The next day everyone gathers at North End for The Grabby “Recovery” brunch. Featuring the men (?) of Lucky Horseshoe and all of your favorite porn stars live on stage. Tix for this event are $10 in advance/$15 at the door, and are available at the bar.

Convenient Kink

Ram 3511 N. Halsted, Leathersport and Cupid’s Treasures 3503 N Halsted have been providing the latest in porn, sex toys and fetishwear on the heart of Boy’s Town for years. No need to leave the Halsted strip to pick up lube, condoms, or XXX films. Give me a pillow honey, cause Mama is exhausted (but never tired!)

Ask Ace relationship & sex advice By Ace Magyar

Third Wheel My partner and I decided to try threeways. At first, it was fine, but then he started to give more attention to our “guest”. Now, he has no desire to have sex with me alone. Dear TW, A three-way sounds like a good way to spice up a relationship, and it can be. I have some close friends who have been in a triad relationship for well over 10 years. Before they added a third, the couple would often have three ways and both felt comfortable in the relationship. However, sometimes the reason for trying three-ways has more to do with a problem within the relationship. The first step to solving a relationship issue is recognizing that there is indeed an issue. Then you must openly communicate with each other. I would suggest, putting the hold on threeways until you sort things out. There’s no use pulling a third party into your relationship if there is a problem. Bottomed Out I prefer to bottom but I don’t have anal sex very often, because it usually hurts too much, even when I am really turned on and want to have it. How can I prevent the pain of anal sex? Dear BO, First, get checked out by a doctor, you might have an anal fissure or hemorrhoids or some other medical condition. If everything checks out, it may just be that you need to relax and practice. Your sphincter may need some training. Try purchasing a small sex toy and, using lots of lube, introduce it slowly. When you feel comfortable, move up to a larger toy and perhaps ask a partner to help you. When you feel comfortable with these, try having anal sex with someone you trust, a muscle

relaxant or tranquilizer may be helpful for the initial encounters but just be careful not to become too dependent on either one. Shallow Pool My friends keep saying that I’m shallow because I only want to go with hotlooking guys. I’ve met many nice men who were perfectly acceptable, but I just didn’t find myself attracted to them. Am I that shallow? Dear SP, Finding someone attractive is an important aspect of romantic interest. I guess the important question is what are you looking for from these encounters? If it’s simply to hook up for sex, why not go for what you find sexually attractive? It’s simply a matter of shopping for what you want. For a night on the town or a roll in the hay, it’s a lot of fun. Rejecting the physical doesn’t mean you’re any less real or superficial. I guess this all depends on weather you are searching for Mr. Right, or Mr. Right Now. However, if you’re looking for a relationship, you are most likely not going to find everything in one package. And, even if he’s hot now, he might not always be in the future. Sea Breeze Why does my vagina sometimes have that, um, aquatic odor? Dear SB, The normal pH in the vagina is between 3.5 and 4.5, which creates the best conditions for good bacteria. If the pH goes up too high, the good bacteria can’t survive, which leads to that unfortunate odor as well as infections such as bacterial vaginosis. An over the counter gel, such as RepHresh, or vaginal probiotics, such as Cran Comfort, can help keep pH levels balanced. boiMAG 61
