FRATERNITIES and SORORITIES
Welcome! HELLO, Do you want to leave your mark at Boise State University? Joining a fraternity or sorority is a great way for you to write your Boise State story. From developing a new service project to guiding your chapter to win its first international award. There is an opportunity for you to make great things happen on campus. Guided by timeless values of academic achievement, leadership development, service, and positive relationships, the fraternity/sorority community has grown by more than 700% since 2010, and is quickly becoming a point of pride for Boise State University.
The fraternity & sorority community has helped me find a purpose at Boise State. From the people I continue to meet and the service based approach we all hold dear, going greek was the best decision I have made in college thus far.

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT As a student at Boise State University, your priority will always be the hours you spend inside the classroom and preparing for the classroom. However, it is important that you make the most of the time you spend outside the classroom through campus and community involvement. Fraternities and sororities work to promote academic excellence and provide you a supportive community of peers to assist you in your academic journey.
I love the fraternity & sorority community, because it is an amazing support system when you are away from home.

Saying you’re a leader doesn’t make you a leader. Leading makes you a leader.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT Fraternities and sororities are built on a foundation of timeless values. The act of translating these values into action on campus and in the community is the essence of leadership. Being a member of a fraternity or sorority can provide you with opportunities to think critically, practice teamwork, develop positive relationships and improve your sense of self-awareness. This is leadership development in its truest form.
The fraternity & sorority community transformed me from a wayward scholar to a man of character and service. I move forward now trying to put the things I have learned here into practice within the real world.

CIVIC ENGAGEMENT We believe you have the potential to shape the future of our campus, community, state and nation. You have the ability to positively change our world. Whether serving with an agency in Boise, or building a school in Jamaica, members of fraternities and sororities realize that much is expected of those to whom much is given. Improving the lives of others is what we’re here for.
The fraternity & sorority community here at Boise State is not only unique and growing but a place of mutual respect, leadership, and service.

Ghandi We must become the change we wish to see in the world.
The quality of your life is the quality of your relationships.

POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS Boise State students are hardworking and creative individuals with a keen sense of purpose. They take risks and they care for each another. With positive relationships as the foundation for our fraternity/sorority community, we seek to build an inclusive community based on shared values that serves as your family away from home; and through the years to come.
The fraternity & sorority community has not only built me into a stronger leader, but it has also given me the opportunity to live a life I will look back on and smile because I have learned so much from it.
