Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who recently turned 71, announced his new film 102 Not Out, in which he will play an old man who decides to break a world record of longevity. The film, which also stars Paresh Rawal, will go on floors next year. “Two brilliant actors sharing screen space will take the story to another level,” said the producer. The project will be directed by Umesh Shukla, who helmed the hugely acclaimed Oh My God! 102 Not Out will show the importance of living life as opposed to merely existing.

We had reported earlier that actor Ali Fazal, known for his roles in films such as 3 Idiots and Fukrey, has landed a role in the upcoming film in the Fast and Furious series, and now, we have learned that Fazal will play a car-crazy Arab in the movie. Sources claim that Ali bagged the role after he shot the audition on his phone and sent across the clip. It seems that Fazal shot for two crucial car-racing scenes with Hollywood action star Vin Diesel before returning back home and is expected to resume shooting in January. Ali Fazal was last seen in Baat Bann Gayi, in which he was seen essaying a double role.

Director-producer Sohail Khan has decided to junk the title Mental and has announced Jai Ho as the new title of the movie starring Salman Khan in the leading role. Sources say there was a growing talk in the circle of friends and well-wishers of Salman Khan against the title Mental, which has negative connotation. Jai Ho was better liked by everyone as the film is slated to release during the Republic Day weekend in 2014. Moreover, the film has a social theme and the title goes well with it. The final nail was hammered by Salman’s father Salim Khan who openly declared his liking for the title Jai Ho. Heeding the growing buzz, Sohail Khan has taken the call and locked on Jai Ho as the official title of the film. “Yes, the film is titled Jai Ho. Mental was only a working title. We always knew we’d change it. Jai Ho was a title that my father liked. Now by the grace of God, we’re all set to release the film on Jan 24,” Sohail Khan is quoted as saying.

The audience may have questioned their pairing at first, especially since Kareena had previously romanced his uncle Aamir in the movie 3 Idiots. However, their success together in Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu has producer Karan Johar hoping lightning will strike twice. Gori Tere Pyaar Mein reunites the co-stars in a romantic comedy about mismatched lovers. It’s the sort of tale that director and co-writer Punit Malhotra of I Hate Luv Stories and Johar know how to weave expertly. Imran’s Sriram is a South Indian city

boy from Bangalore, an architect and playboy with a fear of commitment. He runs away from his wedding and heads to Delhi, where he meets Kareena’s Dia, a political activist. Because Sriram is still afraid of marriage, Dia gives up on the relationship. She runs to a rural community to try and help the villagers, where he follows her, pretending to embrace her cause. He finds that wanting love is not as easy as rebuilding trust. Kareena explains more about Dia. “She works for an NGO. She’s basically someone who always stands for a cause, fights for a cause… She believes in love, but with someone who would actually stand up for her and believe in what she believes – which Imran’s character is clearly not.” Imran compares her character to his Sriram. “She is concerned with a thousand issues. pollution. So she is concerned with everything. And Sriram is a very self-involved guy. He doesn’t care about other people or anything, really.” He tells Dia to, “Care about one thing. Care about two things. You’re acting as though you’re the PM.” But to win a woman like Dia, he can’t pretend. He needs to care genuinely himself. While that all sounds very serious, the musical directors Vishal-Shekar have composed five delightful songs, including the rural and flirty dance number ‘Chingam Chabake’ and the hit song, ‘Tooh.’ Vishal says that he was brainstorming with Shekal, when he suddenly said, “What’s the Punjabi word for ‘bum’?” From that came a unique Punjabi wedding dance, with a lot of bottom wiggling, something in which Kareena excels. He says that “’Tooh’ is a naughty song,” but director Punit doesn’t think that’s a problem. “You’ll
laugh more than finding it offensive.” Kareena starts the dance, but as the song goes on, more and more people join in with her, including the white-haired aunties, until all the guests discover that “they can do it tooh”. Shooting the song was Kareena’s favourite part of the film. “The energy of that song is more Punjabi, and it’s more ‘me’.” Imran is also enthusiastic. “I think we’re safe to call it an item song, because it’s got that vibe. It’s awesome.” Karan chose to treat the music release launch differently than most films, only including Punit and the music directors and not the actors, thus keeping the focus on the music and not the film. Both Kareena and Imran enjoyed the rural locations, Imran because one location was Pune, where Lagaan was shot, and Kareena because she loved the village setting. “What excited me most was that we were going to shoot in a village. I don’t think I’ve ever done a film where I actually go to a village and I am from there. So that part excited me a lot.” Filming was originally announced in 2011 but was delayed when Sonam Kapoor dropped from the lead and was replaced by Kareena. Nargis Fakhi was supposed to do an item number, but was later replaced with Esha Gupta. These delays overcome, the film wrapped shooting in September with a scene from international star Anupam Kher. Will Sriram win back his love Dia? Only if he learns to grow and think of others instead of himself. Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan feels that box office records are meant to be broken. “I don’t do films to make records. Every film will make some record...It’s stupid to think records will not be broken. Any good film will do well and it feels fantastic when such film does well. It’s important to make better films. The film (Chennai Express) had the finest commercial director...great actress Deepika...It feels heartening to see this kind of response,” SRK said. Shahrukh and Deepika-starrer ‘Chennai Express’, directed by Rohit Shetty and released in August, has earned Rs.220 crore at the box office. “There are so many platforms to release a film today. It’s natural there won’t be a golden or a silver jubilee today. There’s speed today in terms of theatrical release and enjoyment of a hit film is amazing,” he said at an event. With the trend of sequels, the actor ruled out any “concrete plan” to make any second installment of ‘Chennai Express’. Shahrukh will be seen with Deepika in Farah Khan’s Happy New Year along side Abhishek Bachchan, Vivan Shah, Sonu Sood and Boman Irani.

The film is shot in Gujarat, Udiapur and the Film City in Mumbai. The romantic drama also stars Richa Chadda, Supriya Pathak, Gulshan Devaiah, Abhimanyu Shekhar Singh, Shweta Salve, Barkha Bisht Sengupta and Sharad Kelkar. Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who is known for the way he presents his leading ladies, seems to have brought out the best of features in Deepika Padukone too. She says, “If you look closely, every (female) character has her own life and journey; I hope my part is also as remembered and loved as that of Nandini, Paro or Chandramukhi’s.” Deepika Padukone, whom we last saw as a south Indian girl in Chennai Express, looks convincing as a Gujarati chokri in RamLeela. training program that I have been through to get in that kind of shape. It’s well worth it now that I see it on screen,” the 28-year-old actor said. The super crackling chemistry shared by the co-stars Ranveer and Deepika onscreen in Ram-Leela is creating a buzz. Rumors of the couple dating in real-life have filled the blogosphere and film magazines. Whether the gossip is true or not, don’t miss out on the much talked about lip lock between Deepika and Ranveer, which is touted as the longest kiss in Hindi films. Bhansali explains the controversial scene as an essential part of the script. “Yes, there’s a kiss. But so what? Times have changed. People in love do express themselves in this way,” says the director. Ram-leela like Bhansali’s other films showcases colorful costumes alongside the lavish and opulent sets. Deepika Padukone is sporting a 30 kg ghaghra with a 50 metre ‘ghera’. Her costume designer, Anju Modi
does a great job of blending the authentic gujrati designs that have a modern outlook. “Sanjay and I were very clear about the look we wanted to give Deepika. So, while the lehengas had to reflect the royal lineage of the Kutch region, they also had to have a very contemporary feel as Ram Leela is not a period drama,” Anju said. Maxima Basu designed Ranveer Singh’s wardrobe for the film. The music of Ram-leela has gotnte rave reviews too. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known for his natural flair for music ever since his debut film Khamoshi – The Musical (1996), and Guzaarish (2010). Bhansali has ensured that the music of every film he makes is like the stories he brings to life on the big screen. This is the second time Sanjay Leela Bhansali will compose for a film. The first film was Guzaarish. Ram-Leela’s album consists of 10 original compositions, and each song is a melodious blend of Gujarati folk with rock beats.
The lyrics are penned by Siddharth Garima. Indian Idol 5 contestant, Bhoomi Trivedi lends his vocals to the rock fusion Ram Chahe Leela for a masterful arrangement. Deepika turns into a scintillating garba goddess in Nagada sang Dhol sung by Shreya Ghoshal & Osman Mir. The song Tattad Tattad sung by Aditya Narayan shows Ranveer Singh as the stud of the village as he struts around in the streets with the girls hooting for him. John Abraham’s entry in Anees Bazmee’s “Welcome Back” will not be an ordinary one. The director has spent Rs.3 crore on a song that will introduce the actor in the comedy. It has been shot in a popular suburban studio. “Anees bhai wanted to do something special with the song. He and Anu Malik have worked extremely hard on it and wanted it to be shot in an elaborate manner,”

producer Firoz A. Nadiadwala said in a statement. “Right from the beginning, we had planned to shoot John’s introductory song on a grand scale. We had 700 junior artists and dancers with the song being shot for over seven days,” he added. In the past few months, many Bollywood stars have been falling prey to crimes like duping and underworld threats. Akshaye Khanna, who has been away from Bollywood for a while now, was reportedly duped by a Bengali couple for about Rs. 50 lakh. The cheating case was registered recently at Malabar Hill Police Station after which it was transferred to the crime branch. Apparently, the husband-wife duo, who bonded with the actor at a party, convinced him to invest Rs. 50 lakhs for their company Intex Innijet Private Limited. Moreover, they also promised Akshaye that his money would be doubled in a year. The actor waited for more than a year for his investment to double up but the couple, thereafter refused to answer his queries or respond to his calls. Now, the actor has filed a complaint against these frauds and ACP Rajvardhan Sinha recently revealed that there is enough evidence to register a case against the two. The accused have been charged under Section 420 (cheating) and 120 (B) (conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code but are yet to be arrested.
We all know that people sometimes get moisteyed while watching an emotional scene in a film, but Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan recently wept after seeing one of his own films! Talking to Facebook, SRK revealed,
“Watched kal ho na ho...with the full end first time with daughter. Uff...how much we cried... though its kinda silly to cry in ur own film!!” In the film, Shah Rukh Khan had played the role of a terminally ill man, who manages to touch

Raja Mishra, Sonakshi Sinha, Vidyut Jamwal, Jimmy Sheirgill, Gulshan Grover, Raj Babbar, Mahie Gill, Chunky Pandey Two types of guns are prominent in Saif Ali Khan’s Bullett Raja. One type is the pistol, and there are a lot of them in the film. The other is Saif’s well-sculpted biceps. Director Tigmanshu Dhulia is no stranger to action films. He wrote Dil Se, acted in Gangs of Wasseypur and directed the National Award-winning best feature Paan Sing Tomar. His cast are also well-acquainted with the genre. Saif Ali Khan is the veteran of many action films, including his recent stint as a zombie hunter in Go Goa Gone. Sonakshi Sinha won the best debut Filmfare award for Dabangg. Other cast members include Jimmy Shergill as Raja’s friend, and Gushan Grover as the powerful and wealthy villain Mr. Bajaj. Vidyut Jamval replaced Irrfan Khan when Irrfan couldn’t give the required dates for the 2nd part of the shooting. Saif’s character, Raja Mishra was an

ordinary young man from Uttar Pradesh whose fight against a corrupt system transformed him into a violent criminal. As his character states, “I can be as humble as a sage, as cunning as a strategist and as menacing as a demon.” He is joined in the fight by his friend (played by Jimmy), a partnership director Dulhia based on a famous reallife pairing: he wanted them to be a rural version of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. But don’t confuse Saif’s character with a previous role. Item girl Mahie Gill stated on twitter, “Saif Ali Khan is totally in a new, colourful avatar. Don’t compare him with Langda Tyagi (Omkara). He is a surprise package. “ Saif calls Raja, “a youth that went a little wrong.” Sonakshi provides the love interest. Producer Rahul Mittra said of her character, “Probably for the first time she’s going to be playing an urban, educated girl.” Even so, she will be wearing traditional saris and salwars. The director said he was looking for a marked physical difference between his lead actors, so he paired Sonaksa`s soft feminine curves with Saif’s muscular, toned body. To play the part, Saif spent a great deal of time in the gym. “It is important to look good. I mean, it is a visual medium… The

lines he’s been given to speak in the script and the kind of action he finds himself in, it would just look really silly if he’s not a tough guy…So visually he has to look capable. That’s the gym.” This is not to be confused with becoming muscle-bound. “It’s not like an old-fashioned, big, tough guy. He’s got to be lean, fit and muscular.” Saif isn’t the only actor in shape for the film. He worked out together with Jimmy Shergill every day after shooting, which helped them bond as individuals and as characters. Vidyut Jamal is doing his own stunts in his action sequences and was cast after the director saw him in Commando. Filming took place in Lucknow, Kolkata, Mumbai and Nashik. In Lucknow, for the chase scene with Gushan Grover, traffic was shut down as crowds gathered for a glimpse of the stars. To play a believable inhabitant of Uttar Pradesh, Saif was required to learn to speak the local dialect, a task the residents of the area assisted. He was said to be a quick learner, his voice without a trace of his natural British accent. Audiences should expect a fun and intense ride, with a balance of action and romance. That should not happen,” Vidya, who is playing wife of Farhan Akhtar in the film, told reporters in Mumbai at its first look launch. Vidya has become a fan of his co-star Farhan after watching ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’. On her co-star, she said, “Farhan is an amazing actor. I have seen his films in the past.
