Aishwarya Rai, a brand ambassador for Kalyan Jewellers, wore a Manish Malhotra sari to the event. She kept her hair loose and make-up simple. She did wear the golden jewellery from the brand. The 41-year-old actress addressed the crowd with a ‘vanakam’ and went on to say, “It’s so heartening to see all of you gathered here and I am very happy to be inaugurating this new branch of Kalyan Jewellers.” Aishwarya Rai has been an ambassadress of Kalyan Jewellers for long now. Hrithik Roshan, Sussanne Khan now legally divorced Hrithik Roshan and his estranged wife Sussanne Khan were officially granted divorce by the Bandra court. Lawyer Deepesh Mehta told IANS: “They are legally divorced now. They have been divorced in a very unique and elegant way where there is no alimony and not a single document drawn up between them. It’s all on the basis of trust, respect and faith.” Mehta said “this is an example they have set on how a couple should part ways in an elegant and classy way.” It was earlier reported that a Rs.100 crore alimony was involved in their divorce but Sussanne had officially denied it. The couple is blessed with two children Hrehaan and Hridhaan. The kids custody will be joint. “They have joint custody. Whenever and whoever wants to be with the kids, can be with them,” Mehta said. Hrithik announced Sussanne’s decision to end their 17-year-old relationship via an official statement Dec 13, 2013. Both dated for four years before finally tying the knot Dec 20, 2000.

Amitabh Bachchan Participates in Clean India Campaign Superstar Amitabh Bachchan stepped on to the streets of Suburban Mumbai to take part in the fiveyear long Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan (Clean India Campaign), launched by the government. Bachchan shot for the grand finale of “Kaun Banega Crorepati” with Govinda, Ranveer Singh and Parineeti Chopra, who are promoting their film “Kill Dil,”. But before going to the sets, Bachchan decided to participate in the Clean Indian Campaign. He picked up the broom and swept the streets near the studio, where the TV show was being shot.
He tweeted, “And before the finale .. it was ‘Swach Bharat Abhiyaan’ .. went on the streets and broomed and collected dirt to clean up the place,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media to appreciate Bachchan’s efforts. “Who wont get inspired when @SrBachchan himself wields the broom & joins Swachh Bharat Mission! Rajkumar Hirani confirms Sanjay Dutt biopic with Ranbir Kapoor in the lead The recent times have seen an array of biopics being made on the celluloid, like Mary Kom, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Paan Singh Tomar, Shahid, The Dirty Picture etc...to name a few. If there’s one person whose biopic features on everyone’s wish list, then, it has to be on none other than Bollywood’s favourite ‘baba’ Sanjay Dutt. It seems that all these prayers are soon going to be answered in the form of Rajkumar Hirani’s biopic on Dutt, which will star Ranbir Kapoor in the lead. A court here has issued notice to Bollywood actor Aamir Khan seeking his response by December 19 on a petition alleging that he promoted homosexuality on his popular TV show Satyamev Jayate. After Mandeep Kaur submitted the petition to the court, civil judge Jaswinder Singh issued notice to Aamir Khan to file a reply by December 19. In her petition, Kaur alleged that Aamir Khan’s conduct on his show Satyamev Jayate was a violation of the Supreme Court order on homosexuality. Through the petition, she sought the court’s intervention to declare Khan’s act a contempt of court. The show, which was telecast on October 19 on a private channel, had discussed the lifestyle and rights of eunuchs
and gays/lesbians, a matter on which the Supreme Court had already given its judgment, she said. Kaur alleged that the actor in his show asked the public to vote for amendments in Section 377 of the IPC (gays/lesbians as illegal). The actor has been seen promoting Section 377 of the IPC in favour of rights of homosexuals, which was against the law of the land, the petitioner alleged. She alleged that the actor promoted a criminal offense on television through his show. Kaur said that she had sent a legal notice to the actor on October 19 seeking an unconditional apology from him with 24 hours after the telecast of the show, but she received no response from him.

After months of persuasion by Salman Khan, Govinda has opted out of the Hindi remake of the Marathi film Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho which Salman is producing. While Salman Khan reacted with characteristic sarcasm to Govinda’s refusal, Govinda for the first time spoke about the matter saying, “I didn’t like the subject of that film. It seemed an art film. I don’t do art films. Audiences have certain expectations from me as an actor. They expect to be transported into a make believe world in my cinema. Films rooted to real life are not for me. I believe in the Rajinikanth school of entertain- ment which has no bearing on real life. I like doing
films where you can hit your enemy from a foot’s distance and still get him flying in the air.” Govinda just released Shaad Ali’s Kill Dil where he plays the villain along with Saif Ali Khan’s film Happy Ending. I don’t know what is one supposed to feel as one grows older? The basic idea came from Okkadu but I didn’t want to do a remake. I asked the makers for nine months and reworked the whole screenplay in a familiar North Indian context. We shot on real locations instead of sets which I despise.” Sonakshi Sinha looks awesome in the film. Talking about Sonakshi’s role, the director of Tevar says, “Sonakshi’s character, Radhika, is very realistic, unlike a Rajjo in Dabangg. Who doesn’t remember the Matrix trilogy, V for Vendetta and the more recently released Tom Hanks starrer Cloud Atlas? And now, the makers behind these films, the Wachowski siblings, Andy and Lana Wachowski, are in the city to work on their next venture. In fact the two have roped in Anupam Kher for their first ever TV series titled Sense 8. Confirming the news, Anupam Kher posted on twitter saying, “Looking forward
to my first day’s shoot of Wachowsky’s series SENSE8.:) #Netflix”. Sense 8 is an American sci-fi drama revolving around eight strangers from different parts of the world who posses special psychic connections and their battle to protect themselves. Interestingly, while the series will be shot in different places across the globe, with India being one location, we hear that the Wachowskis will be roping in others from the industry as well.
Salman and Kareena begin shooting for… The Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan has gone on floors. Directed by Kabir Khan, the first schedule is currently being shot in Delhi. “7:30 am on the banks of Yamuna in Delhi... #BajrangiBhaijaan begins,” tweeted Kabir. Apart from all the snazzy action packed sequences, Ajay’s fans will also see him put his best dancing foot forward and see his charismatic romantic side as well. Trust Prabhudheva to do the unimaginable - he has made Ajay Devgn dance to foot-tapping numbers like ‘Keeda’ and ‘Punjabi Mast’. While some might think of it as a herculean task, Prabhu sir casually says, “Ajay learnt the steps soon and we finished the song shoots in just 2-3 days.” Interestingly, this action caper borrows its name from the first two letters of Ajay’s name – AJ. amongst friends and colleagues, and in the film too, he is referred to as AJ - the Action Jackson. However, the character’s real name in the film is Vishy - a fun loving, carefree, small-time crook, who is always ready for some action. He happens to meet Khushi (Sonakshi Sinha), who is known for her bad luck, which follows her like a shadow everywhere. Post two – three chance meetings with Vishy, Khushi realizes that he is very lucky for her. What ensues is a relentless chase, wherein Khushi tries to pursue him so that her luck changes. The plotline at this point plays the perfect stage for a budding romance and plenty of humorous incidences. Predictably, the hero and the heroine fall in love. However, the rosy days of romance are disrupted when one day a man sees Vishy’s picture and makes a call to Mafioso Xavier, a deadly and dreaded international Mafia Don. Xavier immediately dispatches
his notorious henchmen to Mumbai to get Vishy, who is unaware that a whole network of Police and Underworld are on the lookout for him. Vishy is in shock at the sudden turn of events and soon a deadly secret unfolds before him. A secret that forces him to travel to Bangkok to meet Xavier. A secret that can get him killed. Why is Vishy compelled to risk his life and why does he travel to Bangkok? Who is the other woman in Vishy’s life? Where does Khushi stand in this scenario? Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has already created a massive buzz, with Sonam Kapoor playing his lady and Sooraj Barjatya directing the film. The family drama is set to hit the theatres next year in June and we hear that Sonam has already bagged another project with Shah Rukh Khan where she will be seen playing his love interest in the movie Raees. There are a lot of interesting angles to this news indeed. First, Salman and Shah Rukh Khan are termed to have their “camps” which certain actors are set to be a part of. We bet Sonam will be bombarded with questions, asking her about her shift from Salman’s camp to SRK’s. After gaining popularity as ‘Saheb’ in Saheb Biwi Aur Ghulam, Jimmy Sheirgill wants to now move away from the dark genre and is planning to do a slapstick comedy. The actor has been signed for a film helmed by Abhik Banu, titled Gun Pe Done. Though the actor is completely against nonsensical comedy, he revealed that he will be playing the role of Pancham in the film. Jimmy Sheirgill, who is also a popular name in Punjabi movies wants to explore a different space and hence decided to take up this project. Currently busy with the shoot schedule of Tanu Weds Manu 2 in Lucknow, the actor will
shift focus towards Gun Pe Done which will go on floor in Mumbai. Produced by Pioneer Films and Entertainment LLP, Gun Pe Done also stars Sanjay Mishra, Vijay Raaz, Vrijesh Hirjee and Deepraj Rana. Jimmy Sheirgill also revealed that his last comic outing Tom, Dick And Harry is now being considered for a sequel. He maintained that Deepak Tijori who helmed the film is now planning a sequel too.
‘Phantom’ To Release On April 3rd 2015 The counter terrorism film Phantom was slated to release this year but due to prior commitments of the director as well as the lead stars the film was pushed to 2015. The Ek Tha Tiger film-maker, Kabir Khan, took to his micro-blogging site and wrote “Yes #Phantom is edited and ready... we will release on 3rd of April 2015.” Phantom was shot in beautiful locales of Lebanon, Turkey, London, Canada and Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir. The film is about 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attacks and global terrorism.

Prakash Jha Productions has revealed the first look poster of their upcoming film Raajneeti 2 The film will be a sequel to his hugely acclaimed prequel Raajneeti. Raajneeti featured Katrina Kaif, Ajay Devgn, Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Manoj Bajpayee in lead roles but who would star in the sequel is still not known to anyone. We wonder if the producer-director Prakash Jha will
retain Ranbir and Katrina for the sequel of the political drama considering they were the only two lead characters left when Raajneeti ended. The new poster captures a crowd of people protesting outside the Parliament and beautifully brings out the flavour of the film. Abhishek Bachchan turns down endorsement offer worth Rs 10 crore Abhishek Bachchan’s alcoholic act as Nandu Bhide in Happy New Year has been much appreciated by all. But little did he know it would land him another job; that of endorsing an alcohol brand. A source close the actor reported to a daily, “A leading alcohol company approached to him recently and expressed the desire to have him endorse the brand. They even mentioned that his role in his last film was the driving factor.” The source also revealed that Jr Bachchan was offered around Rs 7-10 crores for the endorsement. Abhi, however, denied the offer politely since he wasn’t particularly happy with the concept and also because he wanted to give out any wrong message to the youth. Abhishek confirmed the report saying, “I personally don’t believe that any revenue is good revenue. There has to be an endorser-brand fit that raises the product’s equity. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan celebrates
20 years as Miss World Aishwarya Rai, who turned 41 recently, has completed two decades after being crowned as Miss World in 1994. Then 21-year-old Aishwarya Rai beat 86 contestants from around the world to win the most coveted beauty pageant. To mark the 20th year of her Miss World title win, which coincided with her Father’s birthday, Aishwarya Rai celebrated the occasion with underprivileged children at a hospital in Mumbai and will also sponsor 100 kids who need cleft surgeries. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has also appeared in a video in support of the Smile Train, the world’s largest cleft lip and palate charity. The charity’s goal is to make safe and quality treatments for cleft lip and palate accessible to the millions who cannot afford it. In the video, Rai Bachchan talks about the devastating effects of clefts on the lives of children and how a simple surgery can give someone a new life. She imagines what her life might have been like if she was born with a cleft. She says: “I am Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. My life has
been truly blessed but I often wonder what would have happened to me if I had a cleft lip, if my parents had abandoned me, if I never had any friends, if I could never smile, no-one should live like that, but a simple surgery can fix a cleft lip, just like that. So please, give a child not just a new smile, but a new life.” Every year, 35,000 children in India are born with clefts. Without corrective surgery, these children are condemned to a lifetime of isolation and suffering. Many are even abandoned or killed at birth. SRK won’t mind joining the Dhoom franchise
He has been part of many blockbusters produced by Yash Raj Films and Shah Rukh Khan won’t mind joining their popular Dhoom franchise if the project is offered to him. So far John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan have played the main ‘villain’ in the Dhoom franchise. When asked would he like to do a negative role in Dhoom 4, SRK said: “I am doing a film with Yash Raj and that’s Fan. If I get an opportunity, I would love to do it. I find it very cool.” The first Dhoom came in 2004 and the superstar said he was attached to the first installment. “I knew Sanjay Ghadvi and I liked the film.
