TEN INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT

The Dirty Dozen And Its Crew -By Heather Manning

6. Sajid Khan said that this has been his most difficult film to shoot to date because of the scale.

1. Director Sajid Khan says Housefull 2 is not a sequel to Housefull in the sense that the story does not continue and the two films are not connected. The Housefull franchise will be more of a series of films where he, Sajid Nadiadwala, Akshay Kumar and Ritesh Deshmukh will always be involved in the movies. 2. The film ended up being called Housefull 2: The Dirty Dozen after Sajid commented that there were 12 principle characters and then the idea hit him to add The Dirty Dozen to the title. 3. It’s hard to believe, but for the first time ever, legendary acting brothers Randhir Kapoor & Rishi Kapoor finally share screen space together in a movie. Apparently, when they first appeared together on set to film, they both had tears in their eyes.

4

7. Sajid Khan praises leading actor Akshay Kumar for always being very punctual and sticking to the script, which makes him very easy to work with. 8. Rumours that Amitabh Bachchan appears in the film are completely false. 4. Housefull 2 is different than the first film in that Housefull was heavy on gags and light on the written screenplay while Housefull 2 promises to be very clever and focus as much on the screenplay as on the comedy. 5. Shazahn Padamsee says Sajid Khan is a mad, crazy, joke master who played a lot of pranks on set and kept the atmosphere very light. This made it difficult for her to concentrate on playing her character but she had great fun working on the film with Sajid.

April 2012 | Bollywood Movies of The Month

9. Peta member John Abraham has said that no real animals were used during the filming. 10. During the first week of one of his films opening in theatres, Sajid Khan likes to go to as many theatres as possible, stand right at the back of the venue, and see how the audience is reacting to his work. He says this is his high and entertaining people is more important to him than winning awards.

SRK & Katrina on the Sets sets of Yash Chopra’s Next next

The king of romance Shahrukh Khan is all set to romance Bollywood’s most beautiful woman, Katrina Kaif in Yash Chopra’s untitled flick. Yash Chopra is back to direction after seven long years. The pictures from the sets of the film are enough to guess the amount of romance in the film. The fact that it’s a Yash Chopra film, and SRK, the romantic king playing the lead, says it all. Yash ji proudly says, “Everyone knows that when I make a movie, Shahrukh will be involved with it. He is like family to YRF and I have always regarded him as one of my own.” Yash ji also has an important thing to say about the film, “This is a film which is classic in its look but contemporary in its language. A film which I’m making on one simple faith… the love that my audiences have given to me over the years. They have tolerated my indulgences for the past 50 years, I’m sure they will indulge me one more time.” The movie is scheduled for a Diwali 2012 release.

It’s no surprise that action hero Salman Khan has a godlike stature in almost all his movies, but this would be the first time that Salman would be essaying the role of Lord Krishna in a film. According to reports, Salman has consented to playing God in Akshay Kumar’s Oh My God. Incidentally Khiladi Kumar had approached both the Khans – Salman and Shah Rukh Khan for the role. However, with Salman agreeing to play the omnipresent power onscreen, Akki can now start work on the film that many see as a copy of Bruce Almighty and the Salman starrer God Tussi Great Ho, where legendary Amitabh Bachchan played God. And while director Ashvini Yardi is tweaking the character a bit to suit Salman’s persona, it would be the first time Lord Krishna would be all beefed up and speaking with an accent.

-By Colleen Hillerup Every director of a feature film needs that first break. Some of them do not fulfil promise and fade into obscurity. Others have careers that take flight and soar. Life Ki Toh Lag Gayi is Rahesh Mehta’s first feature, but not his first film. His short Khuda Kushi was a great success in film festivals across the globe, winning nineteen awards. His was the first Indian film to show at the Buffalo Film Festival. No wonder his first feature is so anticipated. For this feature, he has assembled an excellent cast to tell the story of lives interweaving in one day in Mumbai. There’s a style of story called a winding tale, where each character follows the individual thread of their life until they all intersect. Each character in the film has a specific goal - vengeance, a mission, hope and a con. Life Ki Toh Lag Gayi reveals which character follows which thread, and how they all come together. Kay Kay Menon has recently appeared in Chaalis Chaurassi, but is also known for Life in a Metro, with a career that started in the 1995 film The Morning Breeze. He was nominated as Filmfare Best Villain for his role in Sarkar, and in Life Ki Toh Lag Gayi he is portraying a business tycoon. Ranvir Shorey is playing a Bengali. He was well coached in the part by his wife, award-winning actress Konkona Sen Sharma. He is known for comedies like Do Knot Disturb and Chandni Chowk to China, where he played a half-Chinese character. Manu Rishi is playing a North Indian police officer. Besides his acting roles, most recently in Ek Deewana Tha, he is credited for writing dialogue in the film Chance Pe Dance among others. Pradhuman Singh is one of the best known of the cast because of his outstanding role as Osama in Tere Bin Laden. He has beefed up for his new role as a bearded motorcyclist. One member of the cast is very experienced in cinema, but not as an actress. Neha Bhasin has an active career as both a playback singer, including the recent Force, and a pop star. She is playing the heroine of the film. Unlike Pradhuman, Manu lost ten kilos to play the

policeman. He faced a stressful situation when he had to work with police dogs because he’s afraid of them. His fears were realized when one of them bit him, but he kept working. Pradhuman was also injured during the shoot when he landed on a broken glass when jumping over a table. The glass was removed from his hand and he was told to rest, but he wouldn’t stop the shoot.

Kay Kay could have faced disaster when the elevator broke down on the way to his terrace scene, but he climbed the twenty-eight floors and arrived at the top before anyone else in the production. This is also the first film for the music director, Vinay Jaiswal. That didn’t stop Rang de Basanti’s Daler Mendi from being impressed with his work. Mendi is doing a Haryani hip hop song called “Mein Haryane Ka Sher.” There’s also a rock number by Suraj Jagan, who previously appeared in Rock On. Production companies V.M. Final Cut Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and K. Sera Sera are betting on Rahesh Mehta to make his first time a hit.

This development is sure to raise eyebrows and is sure to be talked about by avid moviegoers within and outside the film industry. The keenly awaited Aamir Khan starrer Talaash, which was slated for release on June first, has been postponed. Though the film is complete and the post-production would also conclude much before the due date, the producers, Ritesh Sidhwani, Aamir Khan and Farhan Akhtar, have decided to push the release of the film ahead. What’s the reason for rescheduling the release date? “Aamir is occupied with his television show, which is starting around the same time. The perfectionist and uncompromising person that he is, Aamir will be left with little time on hand to promote Talaash. Since Talaash is the actor’s next big release after 3 Idiots, we mutually decided to push the release of the film forward. Besides, Aamir will have sufficient time on hand to promote the film,” producer Ritesh Sidhwani confirmed. Written and directed by Reema Kagti, Talaash is said to be a psychological thriller and Aamir is co-producing it with Excel Entertainment. Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor are playing female leads in it. So what’s the new release date of the film? “It’s November 30th or December 7th. We are looking at releasing the film after Diwali,” Ritesh divulges. Instead Akshay Kumar’s Rowdy Rathore is now scheduled to release on 1 June.

Action’s back in Bollywood. Shah Rukh Khan’s Don 2 was one of 2011’s biggest hits, Hrithik Roshan’s all bloodshot and gore movie Agneepath did wonders at the boxoffice and now we have Saif Ali Khan’s Agent Vinod. In a new series of major movie lists, here’s our pick for the 20 best Hindi action movies of all-time, in alphabetical order:

Ab Tak Chappan: Shimit Amin’s first film for Ram Gopal Varma’s Factory was perfectly paced and a firecracker of a film. Nana Patekar played an encounter specialist, which was well received by fans.

The Burning Train: Ravi Chopra assembled an all-star cast -- Dharmendra, Vinod Khanna, Hema Malini, Danny, Jeetendra, Parveen Babi, Ranjeet, Neetu Singh -- threw them aboard a train, then lit it on fire. Immensely enjoyable.

Angaar: Patekar pops up again in this Shashilal Nair thriller where he plays a Muslim gangster, reportedly inspired by the life of Karim Lala. Jackie Shroff and Dimple Kapadia also stared in the movie.

Company: With Jaideep Sahni providing the best script with which Ram Gopal Varma ever worked, the director took this story and crafted a very, very fine film out of it. Ajay Devgan and Vivek Oberoi were amazing in their lead roles.

12

April 2012 | Bollywood Movies of The Month

Arjun: This Rahul Rawail film features Sunny Deol in his early days as an actor. He pays an optimistic youngster who, when exploited by opportunistic politicians, turns into a fighting machine.

Ghayal: An amateur boxer finds himself flung into a murder plot, thrown into jail and striking out to look for revenge. It’s a template many Sunny Deol movies followed, but Rajkumar Santoshi made sure this one was unforgettable.

Darr: Yash Chopra’s tale of psychotic obsession was outrageously and menacingly performed by Shah Rukh Khan. A particularly breathless sequence on foot remains one of the best cinema chases.

Dharam Veer: A period film set in a fantastical kingdom -- which allows director Manmohan Desai to make his cast wear atrocious costumes -- this has it all. Dharmendra, Jeetendra, Zeenat Aman, Neetu Singh and swords. What’s not to love? A lurid version of The Prince and The Pauper turned into a sensationally thrilling actioner, this Chandra Barot film featured Amitabh Bachchan at his very coolest, playing the double role of an in-control crime lord and a naive everyman. Zeenat co-stars as a karate babe extraordinaire.

Ek Hasina Thi: Sriram Raghavan’s first film, based on Asphalt Jungle, is a killer noir tale told exceptionally well, highlighted by the best fist-fight in all of Hindi cinema.

Satya: Ram Gopal Varma’s most visceral film, Satya explored the Mumbai underworld by getting its hands dirty and showing us both blood and filmmaking bravado in a film that impressed, influenced and electrified.

Gunda Because it’s Gunda. And the word iconic isn’t big enough. Sriram Raghavan’s second film, a pulpy thriller with Neil Nitin Mukesh in the lead, features a terrific action set-piece based on a train right in the middle of the film. There’s much action before and after too, but the train scene is seriously sexy.

Shiva: RGV changed the way Hindi cinema perceived violence in this 1990 film about student politics and just how gruesome it can all get.

Speaking of seriously sexy, Vishal Bhardwaj’s Kaminey is a rollicking thriller set in one very hectic Mumbai night -- which includes estranged twins, a diabetic politician, lovers on the lam, Bengali mafia-men, and many many chases. Dhan te nan indeed. Karma: Subhash Ghai’s tale of a jailer (Dilip Kumar) recruiting outlaws ( Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor) to go grab a terrorist named Dr Dang (Anupam Kher) borrows liberally from Sholay but has its own madly masala charms. Mera Gaon Mera Desh: The plot summary for Raj Khosla’s terrific film on the Internet Movie Data Base says simply, “Ajit saves the village from the dakus; whilst having romance with Anju.” True, and it does so in a way only a masala film can. Also, Dharmendra is Ajit, Asha Paresh is Anju and Vinod Khanna is daaku Jabbar Singh. Enough said.

Parinda: So real seemed Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s gangster masterpiece that the words and slang used in the film, written by Shiv Subramaniam, ended up becoming common parlance in actual mobs. An unapologetically, gloriously violent film.

Sholay: Ramesh Sippy’s masterpiece -- the Hindi film that makes it onto every genre list almost by default -- starts with two outlaws fighting bandits on a train. It just gets progressively more intense from there. It’s the old Sunny D template -- that of a good clean man wronged and in the mood for revenge -- but N Chandra and his leading man Anil Kapoor scorch up the screen quite dynamically in this film, and the best leading lady of all time makes sure the stakes are higher than ever.

Vidya Balan is definitely on a roll. She has won the best actress award at almost all the award events for her awesome performance in The Dirty Picture. The latest news is that Vidya has won Best Actress at 59th National Awards in New Delhi. The actress undoubtedly deserves the award. Vidya Balan has won the Filmfare Award, Zee-Cine Award, Stardust Award and Apsara Award for The Dirty Picture. In other words, she has killed the competition at the awards this year. Director Onir’s film I AM won a National Award for the best Hindi film, while Amitabh Bhattacharya won the best lyrics award for the song “Agar Zindagi” in the film. Girish Kulkarni won the National award for best actor for his performance in the Marathi film Deool.

‘Dhadkan 2’ in the works

It seems like the Jains (producers of the film) have finally decided to go ahead with the sequel to Dhadkan, Dhadkan 2 and have roped in original director Dharmesh Darshan to helm the project. And while the producers are keen on having Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty back in the sequel, they are not so sure about original leading lady Shilpa Shetty. The reasons for this are not only Shilpa and Akki’s past – the duo was dating that time and later split – but also that the actress is now pregnant and due for delivery. In fact, sources say that the couple’s split right in the middle of making Dhadkan had cost the makers dearly. It was a miracle that the film was completed and did decent business at the box office. The music of course was the saviour.

-By: Colleen Hillerup Tezz. It’s speed, fast and furious, running like a bullet train. It’s also an emotion, a violent reaction to a situation. Both definitions apply to Tezz, the new action adventure movie from director Priyadarshan. Ajay Devgn plays the vengeful husband with characteristic intensity as he squares off with his antagonist, Anil Kapoor. pointed to learn that his part of a Scotland Yard inspector is little more than a cameo, much as Anil Kapoor’s was in Mission Impossible 4. This was always intended, as the popular Malayalam star did the role as a favour to his friend Priyadarshan. Kangna’s role is also small but significant. She is performing “a very small role in a few of the songs.” Sameera Reddy replaced male actor Tusshar Kapoor, which may come as a surprise

to fans of ‘Sexy Sam’. In the Tezz, she’s “one of the boys”, she says. “She’s part of the plan, part of the heist.” She also trained extensively for the stunt-heavy film. “To train for the film took around four months, and to actually shoot the film took around nine months, so it took a lot of time. I had to learn to ride a bike, which was something I didn’t know. I went from a scooter to these big “bullets”. She also did some underwater work. “I had to go into three below water in Scotland and hold my

breath below for fifteen, twenty seconds... It was body endurance.” The production hired some prominent British stunt coordinators to ensure the effects were safe and state of the art. Gareth Milne worked on the film The Bourne Identity and the series Sherlock. Peter Pedrero who was also hired for Tezz has worked on Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows, and the James Bond film Quantum of Silence. . It was fun working with Anil Kapoor. He’s a fantastic actor, a great guy to work with, the production team was outstanding, and the director knew what was needed and kept the film going constantly. The production utilized local actors and crew in London, Birmingham and Scotland. Bollywood Movies Of The Month was able to speak to one such actor named Bao Tieu, now living in Los Angeles. Bao admits that before this movie he had never even seen a Bollywood film, much less acted in one. But he was so intrigued when his agent approached him that

Abhishek Bachchan: Aishwarya to return to film when she feels like

Aishwarya Rai is currently playing mother to her four-and-half-month-old daughter and the actress is very happy about it. She has no plans to return to films anytime soon, says hubby Abhishek Bachchan. Said Abhi at a recent event, “As and when she wants to come back, is completely her decision… as and when she decides, when she sees a script she is inspired by – the decision is entirely hers. Currently she is very happy doing what she is doing.” The 36-year-old was at the launch of Sorabh Pant’s book “The Wednesday Soul”. Abhishek Bachchan would love to act in a film based on plays penned by young writers. “I like to read biographies and autobiographies. But there are some wonderful plays out there that a lot of young, Indian talent is writing. I would love to do one of them,” said Abhishek Bachchan. “I can’t decide which one. Like I said, there is a lot of interesting material being written in India. I would love to delve into that resource to come up with a film,” he added.

-By: Colleen Hillerup The main Indian film industry is based in Mumbai. But there is an industry there even older than Bollywood. The first motion picture in India was the silent Maranthi film Raja Harishchandra, released in 1913. This year, Maranthi director Pramod Joshi presents his film Chhodo Kal Ki Baatein in Hindi, also called Kasaala Valyaachi Baat in Maranthi. Appropriately, his leads are Maranthi actor Sachin Khedekar and the prolific Bollywood actor Anupam Kher. The film is the story of an IT professional played by Khedekar, who is bogged down in his white-collar life. He is liberated by a freethinking blind mentor, played by Kher. In fact, a symbolic poster for the film portrays Khedekar as a man bound to the wall by a multitude of yellow postit notes, being led gently away to freedom by Kher. Director Joshi describes the story of his main character. “He is an IT professional who is

a complete workaholic. He only understands the language of money and a career in his life.” There are other films where a blind person acts as a mentor for an uptight person, for example Al Pacino in Scent of a Woman. Kajol in Fanaa is a blind woman who brings out the better nature of villain Aamir Khan. Anupam Kher believes this is more than a stereotype. He says that portraying a blind person has helped him better understand differently-abled people. “When you play a role that is physically disabled or differently-abled, you discover how brilliantly people who are differentlyabled live their lives.” Salchin Khedekar, who started in the industry on television in the eighties, was very excited to land the leading role. He generally plays supporting characters. “It’s the role of a lifetime for me. I have a huge range of emotions in the film, which is quite rare. Otherwise you do a character that is quite monotonous.” There were some challenges in the production. One challenge threatened a crucial scene, but

led director Joshi to believe the production was blessed. He had found a perfect location for a song that required a waterfall and a lush location. When they went back to shoot it months later, the waterfall had dried up and he thought they would have to cancel the shoot. That night it poured rain and the next day the waterfall was running vigorously so that the location was perfect once again. International star Anil Kapoor hosted the music launch for Chhoda Kal Ki Baatein. The title is taken from a song in the 1960 film Hum Hindustani, and Kapoor thinks it is perfect. “I love this title.” He would also love to work with director Joshi. “Maranthi rocks!” Producer S.L. Srivastav is sure that the film will have great appeal to everyone. “This will give intense pleasure to the working class, as well and in common the whole mass.” Star Salchin agrees. “It’s about living life in lines. It’s a tongue-in-cheek dialogue film and it’s a fun film...The story I thought was extremely inspiring.”

‘Dabangg 2’ will release on X’mas and not on Eid!!

Satyameva jayate aamir khan’s debut tv show The suspense is over. Ever since numero uno superstar Aamir Khan announced that he is making a show for the small screen, speculations were on about the name and the theme of the show. While the theme is still kept under wraps, the name has been leaked from reliable sources - “Satyameva Jayate”.

Few interesting facts about the show.

• The concept of the show has never been seen before in world television. • The show is designed, conceptualized and produced by Aamir himself hence he has mentioned this to be his most ambitious project ever. • Ram Sampath, the music director of Delhi Belly and Talaash is scoring the music of the show with lyrics written by ace writer Prasoon Joshi, the man behind Taare Zameen Par and Rang De Basanti. • The theme song has been sung by Sukhwindar Singh and it is twenty-two minutes long. Sukhwinder recently said that the show will blow people away. It is something people have not seen on television. • The show is about the common man and his obstacles. Here you won’t see Aamir as a megastar, but as someone who is your confidant. He will travel in your city, meet people like you and me and will touch our lives in a positive way. • This is India’s firstt show to be aired across all eight channels of Star Network simultaneously. It means if the show is on at 9pm on Star Plus, you will see the same show on Star Jalsa in Bengali, on Star World in English, etc. • With this show, Aamir is now the highest paid star ever appearing on the small screen, surpassing the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, SRK & Salman Khan. If sources are to be believed, he would charge around 4-6 crore per episode, the highest for any superstar ever. • Aamir is currently busy shooting the finale of the show for which he has banned phone calls and cameras on the set. He has decided to lock himself within closed doors till he is through with his TV commitments. • The show is scheduled to air in April or May, though the actual date is not yet confirmed. • The expectations are sky high. Anything Aamir does becomes history so people are anxious to see if he is able to recreate his big screen magic on TV. A lot has been said about the show, some even said it’s an Indian version of Oprah which not true at all. The show is one of its kind and time will tell how grand it becomes.

Salman Khan always makes it a point to releases his films on Eid. However, this time, it’s going to be different. Reports have it that his film Dabangg 2 will hit theaters at Christmas. Not just Dabangg 2 will release on 25th December, 2012, but his next flick, Kick, will also hit theaters on 25th December, 2013. Meanwhile, Dabangg 2 has already started making and breaking records, even before its release. Star Networks have purchased the satellite rights of the film for a whopping price of Rs. 48 crore or even Rs. 50 crore. This is the highest figure any Bollywood film has fetched from the satellite rights. The Star Network will have the telecast rights of Dabangg 2 for 11 years, according the deal. Ranbir Kapoor has been approached by versatile film producer Anurag Kashyap to work in his next film Bombay Velvet. Incidentally, when Kashyap had announced the film three years ago, perfectionist Aamir Khan had agreed to do the role. But so far nothing has happened on that front. While Aamir slowly detached himself from the project, the ace filmmaker got busy shooting his film Ugly. However, now with Ugly on it’s completion stage, Kashyap wants Ranbir to play the lead role in Bombay Velvet. Buzz is that while the ‘Rockstar’ liked the script, he hasn’t given the final go ahead. Kashyap, who in fact is producing eleven films this year, plans to start the shoot of Bombay Velvet as soon as his other running projects are over. The film is based on a series of reallife incidents that took place in the commercial capital of India during the 1960’s..

“I RARELY LOOK BACK ON THINGS I HAVE ACHIEVED. IF YOU ASK ME ABOUT MY TURNING POINT I WOULD HAVE TO SAY, IT WAS THE DAY I SANG FOR MAST.” -By Haneefa Khan Having an exquisite intonation and owning one of the best voices to have emerged in this generation, Sunidhi Chauhan is known to easily enthral her listeners with her scintillating and magical voice. She is not your typical and predictable Bollywood Playback singer. Many who have heard this prodigy resonate, know very well that she does not remain within a comfort zone, but rather takes on different and challenging songs, be it classical, pop, slow or fast paced tracks. She has exceeded all expectations of listeners all over the world. Who knew that the miraculous and velvety voice behind the song “Ruki Ruki Thi Zindagi” from the movie ‘Mast’ would make it this big. This Diva has made her mark in the Bollywood music industry, and by the looks of it, she’s only bound to prosper from here onwards. Possessing a soulful voice, an extraordinary range and a diverse vocal ability, Sunidhi Chauhan has been producing blissful songs for over a decade now, and is known to the Bollywood fraternity as being the most versatile Indian musician of the 21st century. Sunidhi Chauhan’s stepping stone in to success all began when she won the “Lata Mangeshkar Trophy” in the singing contest “Meri Awaz Suno” in the year 1996. She was presented with the award by the very prestigious Lata Mangeshkar. Sunidhi Chauhan is the voice behind many songs such as “Dhoom Machalay”, “Desi Girl”, “Sheila Ki Jawani” and her recent chartbuster “Gun Guna” from Agneepath picturised on the wonderful Priyanka Chopra. The renowned singer belted out numerous hit songs in 2011 including “Te Amo”, the much loved sufi song “Ishq Sufiyana” from ‘The Dirty Picture’, her sizzling track “Aa Zara” as well as her soft rendition of the mesmerising “Tu”, amongst many others. One of her great achievements was her collaboration with Enrique Iglesias, recording a song called ‘Heartbeat’. Amidst her busy schedule of concerts, recordings, interviews and Bollywood events, Sunidhi also took it upon herself to be a part of the western union global campaign, “World of Betters”, which focused on improving the lives of deprived and disadvantaged individuals. This campaign consisted of four other celebrities, including the well known singers Alicia Keys, Pitbull, K’Naan and Snoop Dog. Sunidhi, being the only personality from Bollywood to involve herself in such an event, took the initiative to help underprivileged girls in Mumbai discover their inner beauty by spending time with these girls and allowing them to live a dream, even just for a day. This campaign also involved providing funds to further their education as many of them did not have the means to do so. Not just a pretty face, not just a miraculous singer, but a down to earth and phenomenal being with a heart of gold. Sunidhi inspired these young girls and showed them a path that might not have been known to them prior to this event. During this heartfelt campaign, she also recorded two English songs, called “Valentine” and “Call Me”, which is yet to be released. The recording of these two songs took place in the USA. In the year 2010 Sunidhi was one of three judges for the popular singing reality show Indian Idol, and it seems by much demand, the singing sensation will be back this year to judge the sixth season of Indian Idol along with music composers Salim Merchant and Anu Malik, which will premiere on the 2nd of June 2012. With her humble nature and a timeless voice at only the age of 28, the powerhouse of talent within Sunidhi Chauhan’s voice can easily make one hooked to every song she renders, it certainly comes as no surprise the amount of love and fans this versatile queen as attained globally.

Akshay doesn’t want to see his son in films!

Akshay Kumar is one Bollywood star who makes it a point to spend quality time with his 10-year-old kid Aarav, despite being super busy. He says he is not very keen on letting his son enter films. “He is too young. I want my son to be away from films. I want him to enjoy childhood. I want him to go and play football. Go on the beach and enjoy life,” Akshay Kumar told. Despite having a very hectic schedule, the actor

leads a very disciplined life. “I don’t enjoy partying. I don’t understand why they play music so loud. I like to sleep early. I go off to sleep by 9 to 9.30. I get up by 4.30 in the morning,” he said. “Twinkle sleeps by 8.45 in the night and thank god this is the only similarity that I and Twinkle share. Life becomes very calm when your partner sleeps at the same time. We share this one thing in common,” Akshay added.

Ranbir’s Connection with Football If not films, Ranbir Kapoor would have definitely been a footballer. The actor is currently endorsing a campaign for the sport. “Football is life for me and if not an actor, I would have loved to be a footballer. It teaches team work, determination and discipline apart from being such an exciting sport,” Ranbir said in a press statement. A new campaign by Pepsi features the 29-year-old star. “I am thrilled that Pepsi is bringing the joy of football to India and am delighted to be a part of this campaign,” he added. Says Deepika Warrier, executive director (Marketing), PepsiCo Beverages, India, “Football is gaining immense popularity in India and being a true youth soul-mate, Pepsi is proud to be associated with the sport.”
