You will need a bus pass, birth certificate or driving licence to enrol, as proof of your age. If you’re under 60, you may be entitled to have your fees waived for beginner type courses if you receive one of the following benefits - evidence of benefit must be dated within 3 months of enrolment date:

You may be entitled to have your fees waived for a course up to Level 2 if you: 1) Are unemployed and receive an eligible benefit and are taking the course to help you find employment or improve your current employment situation and the course is relevant to your job prospect. Evidence of benefit/s must be preferably dated within 3 months of enrolment date and not more than 6 months prior. Eligible benefits are:

2) Work and earn less than £20,888 per year: This will need to be evidenced by one wage slip dated within 3 months of the COURSE START DATE or your current employment contract which states your gross wage.

3) If you don’t already have a full Level 2 qualification in any subject and need to study at a lower level in order to progress to Level 2: A full Level 2 qualification is equivalent to one A Level pass, two or three AS Levels, five or more GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or an NVQ 2. There are other qualifications which are equivalent to a full Level 2 so please ask if you are unsure. You will be asked to sign a self-declaration at enrolment.

A full Level 3 qualification is equivalent to two or more A Level passes, four or more AS Levels, or an NVQ 3 Diploma (subsidiary or above). There are other qualifications which are equivalent to a full Level 3 so please ask if you are unsure. You may be asked to sign a self-declaration form at enrolment. There are new opportunities for adult learners to undertake selected Level 3 qualifications for free, especially Greater Manchester residents. Residency of Learners (Not applicable to full cost courses) If you are a non-UK national and have been living in the EEA/EU/UK for 3+ years then you will need to upload evidence of your EU Settlement Scheme status. This can be your EUSS share code. If you are have one of the following immigration statuses then you will be required to upload evidence of this: • Refugee status • Discretionary, Exceptional or Indefinite leave to enter or remain • Humanitarian protection • Leave outside the rules • Afghan Locally Engaged Staff under the intimidation policy • The husband, wife, civil partner or child of any of the above • Section 67 of the Immigration Act 2016 leave • Calais leave to remain • Asylum Seeker and has lived in the country for 6 months or longer

How can you pay for your course?

1) You can payforyourcourse in full bycredit/debit cardwhenyou enrol online. You cannot currentlypayonline byinstalments butwe hope to bring this facilitytoyou soon. 2) You can also enrol online ifyou do not have to paythe fees oryou are using an Advanced LearnerLoan to payforthe course. Youwill need to upload evidence ofyourbenefits and income as applicable. Instalment payments maybe available forin-college enrolments forcourses over£150 and more than 12weeks long. The total cost ofthe course is split into sixequal payments.Youwill need to paythe first onewhenyou enrol. Ifyou enrol beforeyourcourse starts in Septemberthe second paymentwill not come out until 1st October.Youwill needyourbankcard and branch details. These must be inyourname. All fees must be paid before the course end date and therefore the numberofinstalments maybe reduced. Ifyou do not payforyourcourse,youwill need to bring evidence ofyourbenefit orincome.
