Charity Giving
Children in Need Everyone brought in change in the hopes of making a coin trail all around school with their donations! The children had fun placing the coins and steering the line around obstacles to see if they could make it all the way through the school. They raised a total of £625.
Harvest Beech House once again supported Urban Outreach with the Harvest collection. After several weeks of donations, a group of children in Year 2 helped to load up the minibus and deliver the goods in person! This was a good way for the children to begin to understand where their donations go and learn a little more about the vital work of this important local charity.
Sprinkle of Kindness This appeal encouraged families at Beech House to donate food, clothes, toys, toiletries and Christmas gift boxes for those in need. The collection was delivered to two schools in Gorton and one local primary school in Bolton. The ‘Sprinkle of Kindness’ appeal was organised by Year 1 teacher (and former Bolton School pupil) Miss Niaz, who said: ‘This was a tremendous success and the amount of donations I received from everyone was absolutely amazing. … It has been a great talking point for the children of Beech House and has given them a better understanding of the wider world.’
