Cross Country The Year 5/6 Cross Country Team not only became Bolton League Champions, but the Year 6 team also came first in the annual AJIS competition! Team captain Beatrix Soper continued to shine, coming first in all races and also being selected to represent Bolton at the Greater Manchester Cross Country Championship at Heaton Park, where she came in first place.

Football The Year 6 football team have taken part in numerous competitions this year: Bolton Futsal Comp, the AJIS tournament and Bolton Schools’ Girls’ Competition. As the year has progressed the girls have improved in confidence, which was shown in their final competition held here at Bolton School, where they reached the quarter finals.

Swimming The Year 5/6 Girls’ Swimming Team won the Bolton Schools’ Swimming Gala and, combined with the Junior Boys’ team, came in first place overall!

Science Collaboration Year 6 girls reflected on how their collaborative work in Science has helped to improve their learning through an exhibition in the School Library. They discussed with the Primary Division Heads how working together has promoted creative and critical thinking in their Science topic, Evolution and Inheritance, as well as improving oracy and collaboration skills and enabling them to make links between different subjects. Netball The Year 5 and Year 6 netball players have enjoyed lots of friendly matches against other AJIS schools. At the annual AJIS Netball Competition, the Year 5s finished in third place overall, narrowly missing a place in the final. The Year 6s won all their group matches and made it to the quarter finals in their competition!
