HESKETH HOUSE NEWSLETTER 15 DECEMBER 2023
A note from the Head…
Social Media – X
The highlight of this week was undoubtably our Christmas Concert, The Shepherd’s Story. I was so proud of the girls, and I know from your feedback that you enjoyed it as much as we did! The cast of characters and soloists were excellent, our percussionists were perfect and the Year 3 dancers really shone. However, it was the whole school singing that really took my breath away, along with the smiles on the faces of the girls, who thoroughly enjoyed performing for their audience. A huge thank you to all the staff for their considerable efforts in making this such a memorable occasion. A link to the video will be sent out before the end of term.
Please follow us @BSPDJnrGirls, @BSPDMFL and @BoltonSch.
We also appreciated your generous donations in our retiring collections, and we are delighted to be able to add a wonderful £380.47 to our ongoing Malawi fundraising campaign.
Our first Year 5 group have finished making their lovely owl cushions at the after school Sew What! club. They have worked really hard this term, learning new skills in a relaxed, calm and cosy social environment. Well done!
Still to come before the end of term we have our Octagon Theatre visits for all pupils, kindly paid for by the Parents’ Association. We also have our Christmas Hamper Raffle and final day celebrations, when we encourage the girls to add Christmas jumpers and accessories to their uniform.

This will be the last Newsletter of the term and therefore I would take this opportunity to thank you for all of your support with our various events and activities. I hope that you are able to find time for rest and relaxation over the break and enjoy spending some quality family time together. We look forward to seeing the girls back full of energy once again, on Monday 8 January 2024.
We held our final Achievement Assembly of the term this week, with awards for Cubs, dance, gymnastics and tennis. Well done to these girls! If your daughter gets a certificate, medal or trophy of some sort out of school please do encourage her to bring it in, as we do enjoy celebrating their successes.
Very best wishes to all our Hesketh House families for the festive season!
Christmas – Cards and Gifts
Mrs C Laverick
We have a Christmas post box at Hesketh House, in the reception area. Cards will be delivered each day, free of charge. Please make sure there is a name and form on any cards that are posted! I would also remind you that any exchange of gifts between pupils should be on the last day only.
