JUNE 2024

A note from the Head…

Last night we welcomed all of our new parents to Hesketh House, to find out a little more about what life will be like for their daughters when they join us in September. The girls will find out which class they will be in on Tuesday, when we have our MoveUp Morning. Year 6 girls will be having their Induction Day in the Senior School on the same day.

Today we are looking forward to our Sports Day, and of course parents are welcome to join us! Please remember that entry is on foot, via the Sports Field Entrance off Tudor Avenue. We start at 1.15pm.

Finally, don’t forget to buy your tickets for the Summer Festival, this Sunday! The Event Guide can be found here and tickets can be purchased here: https://www.trybooking.com/uk/DGOA

We have now received the assessment results from the recent tests, and these will be sent home with your daughter on Monday.

A Plea from the Teachers….

Please could parents and girls do a search at home for any items that might belong to school – library books, reading books, books from class libraries, textbooks etc. We would be very grateful to get them back, no questions asked! Thank you.

Pupil Achievement

We are very excited for Tomasina, who is taking part in the Dance World Cup at the end of the month, being held in Prague She was so proud to be given her official ‘Team England’ kit recently. We all wish her and her group the very best of luck!

Outdoor Theatre

All pupils have enjoyed visiting the Outdoor Theatre over the last couple of weeks, and have been inspired by the creative storytelling and in particular the very clever use of puppetry.

Individual Music Lessons

If your daughter would like to start music lessons next year, please see the brochure here for more information. For more general queries about individual instrumental lessons, please contact Mr Forgrieve IKF@boltonschool.org.uk.
