HESKETH HOUSE NEWSLETTER 23 SEPTEMBER 2022

A note from the Head… It was lovely to see so many of you at our Parent Information Evening last night, thank you very much for your support. Hopefully you found it useful and you now have more of an idea about what life will be like for your daughter this year. I am sure that staff answered all of your questions, but if you have any queries or concerns going forward please do not hesitate to contact us. The Hesketh House Office number is 01204 434761 or you can email juniorgirls@boltonschool.org.uk.

We also celebrated various other achievements in assembly this week. Please do encourage your daughter to bring in certificates and awards from home as we do enjoy hearing about what they are doing outside of school.

Please could I ask that you check the Newsletter each week, keeping a particular eye on the diary, which is updated regularly. This is emailed out to parents every Friday, but if you ever need to find the most recent copy, it is also on the School website www.boltonschool.org.

Finally, we were delighted to hear a story of cricketing success. Maya, in Year 4, was selected to play in the English Cricket Board (ECB) Lancashire Region U11’s Girls Tournament. She helped her team (Leyland) win the overall tournament, to become County Champions.

Finally, I would remind you that your daughter should have a coat in School every day as we do try to get outside as much as possible, even in poor weather. Please make sure this is named, as with all items of uniform and equipment. Mrs C Laverick Arrival at School Pupil Achievements Year 6 pupil Ella competed in her first BMC Youth Climbing Series competition last weekend. She came eighth in her age group (Y6/Y7) in the North West and Yorkshire region and really impressed everyone with her bouldering skills. Well done! Congratulations to Fleur Oxley-Harrison, who achieved a Merit in her recent Grade 1 Piano Examination.

Just a reminder that our day starts at 8.40am, when the children are collected from the playground; please make sure your daughter arrives on time so that she can make a good start to her day. If your child arrives late, then you will need to access Hesketh House via the Riley Centre, as the external gates are closed. Enrichment Activities This year we are trialling a series of Enrichment Activities during some assembly slots. Throughout the year different small groups of children will take part in these to help develop skills and build confidence.
