HESKETH HOUSE NEWSLETTER 2 DECEMBER 2022

A note from the Head…

Cricketing Success

It is starting to feel very Christmassy around Hesketh House, with fairy lights, trees and other decorations making their annual appearance. Combined with the beautiful singing spilling out from our Concert rehearsals, it really is very festive.

We are very proud of Maya Patel and Poppy Rate who, after trials over the last few weeks, have been selected to play for Lancashire U11 cricket team. What a wonderful achievement and an excellent opportunity for them to develop their considerable skills even further.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to one of our Christmas Concerts on Tuesday next week, with performances at 2.30pm and 7.00pm. A reminder that we do need all of the girls to be at both events. An email has been sent home today with a reminder about the arrangements, a copy can be found here. We have also sent home extra tickets to those who have made requests – please get in touch on Monday if you still require any seats. You can ring the office 01204 434761 or send an email to juniorgirls@boltonschool.org.uk. Finally, I would take this opportunity to thank the Parents’ Association for their efforts in organising the Christmas Disco, which takes place in the Arts Centre on Sunday, 3.00pm – 5.00pm. I am sure that the girls will have a wonderful time! Mrs C Laverick Severe Weather Arrangements The Severe Weather Arrangements were emailed to parents recently, a copy can be found here. The key points are that information will be posted on the front page of the school website (www.boltonschool.org), usually by 7.00am, and we would be grateful if parents would use the website as the first port of call. You will also be sent an email, and news often first appears on School Twitter Accounts such as @Philip_Britton, @sfboltonschool, @BSPDJnrGirls. Twitter Please follow us on twitter @BSPDJnrGirls.

Ski Club A group of Year 5 girls continue to enjoy skiing lessons at the Chill Factore on Thursday evenings. A reminder that the next session on Thursday 8 December is the last one this term. They resume in the Spring Term on Thursday 5 January.
