HESKETH HOUSE NEWSLETTER

A note from the Head…

What a wonderful week we have had to finish off the year! The Sumer Concert on Wednesday was a real highlight for us all. The girls had worked so hard on their songs, narration and poems and really enjoyed performing in the Great Hall for an audience of family and friends. We hope that you enjoyed it too. It was particularly special for me, being my last official concert, so an extra ‘thank you’ to all of the staff and girls who put in so much effort!

This is our last Newsletter of the term and therefore I would take this opportunity to thank you for your support throughout the year. Whether it has been attending concerts, listening to reading, helping to learn spellings and tables, assisting with homework or simply making sure that the right equipment is brought to School on the right day, it has all been much appreciated and it does make a difference!

Finally, I would like to wish all of our Year 6 girls the very best of luck as they move on to the next stage of their educational journey. Hopefully we have given them a firm foundation upon which to build a successful future.

I wish you all a relaxing summer break!

Mrs C Laverick

Thank you!

Thank you so much to everyone who has very generously contributed to one of the amazing vouchers and fabulous gifts I have received over the last few days, to mark my retirement. I have also had some lovely cards and messages too, which have been very much appreciated. Thank you for your support over the years, I will miss everyone, but will be back to visit!

Pupil Achievements

A couple of weeks ago we sent our best wishes to Tomasina, who was competing in the Dance World Cup in Prague. We heard earlier this week that she and her team mates are gold medal holders (World Champions!) for their performance of ‘James Bond’ in the Senior Acro Group. They also picked up silver medals in the Junior Acro Group with their dance ‘The Avengers’. The competition is still ongoing so there may still be more to come… Congratulations Tomasina (and friends), we are all very proud of you!

We were delighted to hear that Tullah has retained her place in the Hallé Children’s Choir following the most recent auditions. She is also nowjoined by Anika, who was also successful in gaining a spot in this prestigious choir. Well done to both girls!

Congratulations to Avni, who took part in a charity abseil down 170ft at the Trafford Centre Palazzo to raise money for Kidneys for Life. So far, she has raised £180, a fantastic effort, well done!
