HESKETH HOUSE NEWSLETTER 8 DECEMBER 2023

A note from the Head… We are looking forward to welcoming you to one of our Christmas Concerts on Tuesday next week, with performances at 2.30pm and 7.00pm. A reminder that we do need all of the girls to be at both events. An email has been sent home today with further details about the arrangements, a copy can be found here. We have also sent home extra tickets to those who have made requests – please get in touch on Monday if you still require any seats. You can ring the office 01204 434761 or send an email to juniorgirls@boltonschool.org.uk.

PA Christmas Disco Sunday 3 December Thank you very much to all of the parents who helped out at the Christmas Disco on Sunday, and in particular those involved in all of the planning and organising leading up to the event. In addition to dancing there were games, nail painting, hair braiding and Christmas crafts, as well as the very popular photo booth. We even had an elf in attendance, giving out Christmas gifts at the end of the afternoon! It was a wonderful occasion and the girls had a fabulous time.

Mrs C Laverick Severe Weather Arrangements The Severe Weather Arrangements were emailed to parents recently, a copy can be found here. The key points are that information will be posted on the front page of the school website (www.boltonschool.org), usually by 7.00am, and we would be grateful if parents would use the website as the first port of call. You will also be sent an email, and news often first appears on School X Accounts such as @Philip_Britton, @sfboltonschool, @BSPDJnrGirls. Mobile Phones and Smart Watches A reminder that girls should not be bringing mobile phones to school unless absolutely necessary eg for coach travellers or those not being collected directly from school. If phones are brought in, they must be handed in at the start of the day and collected as the girls leave the building. They are not permitted to use them at all during the school day; any messages should go through the office. In addition, smart watches are not allowed to be worn in school. Music Examination Results Congratulations to Annabelle Hutchinson who achieved a Distinction in her Initial piano examination and to Francesca Dean who passed her Grade 1 Singing with Merit. Well done!
