HESKETH HOUSE NEWSLETTER 9 DECEMBER 2022
A note from the Head… Thank you very much to the members of the Parents’ Association and their many volunteers, who helped to make our Christmas Disco on Sunday such a wonderful occasion – the girls had a great time!
Finally, at the end of this term we sadly say goodbye to Miss Lindsay Harris, our Health and Well-Being Assistant. Miss Harris has been a real asset to Hesketh House and we are very sorry to see her go. We have appointed her successor, Mrs Claire Naylor, who will be spending a couple of days with us next week as part of the handover. Claire is a fully qualified nurse with lots of experience, so the girls will continue to be in safe hands! Mrs C Laverick Severe Weather Arrangements
The highlight of this week was undoubtably the Christmas Concert, Hosanna Rock! I was so proud of the girls and, I know from the lovely feedback we have received, that you enjoyed it as much as we did. The singing was amazing and the Year 6 soloists and speakers all did brilliantly, not to mention our Percussion Group and Year 3 dancers. A huge thank you to all the staff for their considerable efforts too! A link to the video will be sent out before the end of term.
We also appreciated your generous donations in our retiring collections, and we are delighted to be able to add a wonderful £508.48 to our ongoing Malawi fundraising campaign. The Severe Weather Arrangements were emailed to parents recently, a copy can be found here. The key points are that information will be posted on the front page of the school website (www.boltonschool.org), usually by 7.00am, and we would be grateful if parents would use the website as the first port of call. You will also be sent an email, and news often first appears on School Twitter Accounts such as @Philip_Britton, @sfboltonschool, @BSPDJnrGirls. Sew What!
Year 5 have finished their lovely little cow cushions at their after school Sew What! Club. The girls were delighted with their efforts and all of the cows have now been named! Thank you to Phoebe, our sixth form helper, for her endless patience!
