Property Management 101 Fridays, Sept. 6, 13, 20 and Oct. 4, 11 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Each class is held at a different Atlanta property and includes a building tour. Registration: $699 Member rate: $599 $75 late fee for registration after Aug. 30 SPECIAL BOMI OFFER!

Explore the world of property management through Property Management 101, a five-day course taught over a period of five weeks. This dynamic course combines traditional, classroom-style teaching with behind-thescenes tours of Metro-Atlanta buildings, and personal interaction with industry professionals. The course is designed for assistant property and facility managers looking to take their career to the next level, or anyone interested in expanding their knowledge of the property management business. Class locations will vary from week to week and participants will be notified of location prior to each session via email.

Refrigeration Systems and Accessories

Maintaining the proper comfort level in an office environment is essential for tenant satisfaction. Refrigeration equipment is a key component of an air-conditioning system that must be properly maintained and operated at maximum efficiency. This course reviews the basic refrigeration cycle and refrigeration system components, as well as how to operate and maintain reciprocating and absorption refrigeration systems. You will gain the skills and knowledge to describe the principles of refrigeration and identify the performance characteristics of refrigeration components.

Young Professionals BOMA Georgia’s Young Professionals Shared Interest Group is for individuals 35 years old and under who are interested in advancing their careers in the commercial real estate industry. Medical Office Section (Not open to vendors/service providers) The Medical Office Section includes commercial real estate professionals interested in the specific needs of medical office building managers and engineers. Members of this section will occasionally receive invitations to medical office programming and will be the first to know about seminars and discussions concerning medical office management issues, as well as new and emerging medical office trends and challenges and the impacts of legislative changes. Green Interests Section The Green Interests Section includes professionals who are interested in increasing their knowledge of green and sustainable practices. Members of this section will receive invitations to green programming and will be the first to know about green and sustainable course offerings from BOMA Georgia. AMRG

Allied Member Resource Group (AMRG) events are open to all vendors and service providers. AMRG events are a great way to network with other service providers in the commercial real estate industry, and every meeting will feature an educational topic that is important to allied members. The AMRG meets quarterly. The topic for the October 22 AMRG Lunch from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. will be Doing Business with BOMA Georgia. The program features a variety of instruction styles, including experiential learning, both in teams and as an individual; executive coaching sessions; extracurricular coursework; and a program project presented by each participant at the conclusion of the program. The program is facilitated by leadership expert Cynthia Mills, FASAE, CAE, CMC, CPC, CCRC, Founder, President and CEO of The Leaders’ Haven. To offer a diverse leadership experience, registrants are accepted based on their CRE segment and years of experience in the industry. Class size is limited. Each participant in the CRE Leadership Masters Program will be required to research, plan and implement a project. The purpose of these projects should be to demonstrate and put into practice what participants learn through the CRE Leadership Masters Program, and to contribute to your industry/company/association in a meaningful way.
