2021 BOMA Georgia Committees Members Only

Allied Member Resource Group (AMRG)

A unique and effective educational resource specifically designed for BOMA Georgia allied members that also creates a supportive interaction between regular and allied members.Meets about four times per year.

BOMA Technical Organization

Develops and provides programs for building engineers. Meets throughout the year.

Community Service Committee

Researches community needs and develops plans to assist. Meets throughout the year.

Foundation Development Committee

Raises funds for the BOMA Georgia Foundation through securing volunteers and donations for foundation fundraising events, promoting lobby events and electronic recycling donations, as well as individual and corporate giving to the Foundation. Meets as needed throughout the year.

Government Affairs Committee

Monitors, studies and recommends policy and advocacy strategies on legislative and regulatory matters that affect the commercial real estate industry. Meets throughout the year, most heavily during the state legislative session at the beginning of each year.

Membership Committee

Plans and conducts the ongoing membership recruitment and retention programs of the association. This committee is also responsible for implementing new member engagement strategies. Meets four to five times per year.

Industry Insight Committee

Exercises think-tank and brainstorming exercises throughout the year to assist in the development of programming and editorial content for the association. Meets throughout the year.

TOBY Judging Committee

Plans and conducts the activities leading to the selection of The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Awards, including the Earth Award. Meets one time in December or January of each year.

Trade Show Committee

Performs various duties in support of and in preparation for the annual BOMA Georgia Trade Show. These duties include advising and recommending improvements to the Trade Show; selecting the show theme; organizing the Silent Auction; and providing volunteer assistance the day of the show. Meets several times from January through May of each year.

Young Professionals BOMA Georgia’s Young Professionals Shared Interest Group is for individuals 35 years old and under who are interested in advancing their careers in the commercial real estate industry. Medical Office Section (Not open to vendors/service providers) The Medical Office Section includes commercial real estate professionals interested in the specific needs of medical office building managers and engineers. Members of this section will occasionally receive invitations to medical office programming and will be the first to know about seminars and discussions concerning medical office management issues, as well as new and emerging medical office trends and challenges and the impacts of legislative changes. Green Interests Section The Green Interests Section includes professionals who are interested in increasing their knowledge of green and sustainable practices. Members of this section will receive invitations to green programming and will be the first to know about green and sustainable course offerings from BOMA Georgia. Industrial (Not open to vendors/service providers) The Industrial Shared Interest Group is geared solely to the needs and interests of industrial real estate managers. Facilities Management (Not open to vendors/service providers) The Facilities Management Resource Group addresses the important issues and big questions of Facilities Management property professionals.

VENDOR/SERVICE PROVIDER OPPORTUNITIES Get Plugged in with the AMRG

Allied Member Resource Group (AMRG) events are open to all vendors and service providers. AMRG events are a great way to network with other service providers in the commercial real estate industry, and every meeting will feature an educational topic that is important to allied members.
