El Lissitzky The Complete that is Fragmented A pebble stone path leads the visitor inside the split ring wall of the memorial, arriving at an enclosed lawn. Hard and clattery; soft and silent. The circle is intact but split by off-center path, creating tension. Tension between the completeness of the circle and the fragmented views. The tension that encourage fushion.
Prouns: From 2D to 3D Lissitzky’s abstract geometric prouns that serve as “an interchange between painting and architecture’ are presented as elongated frames that penetrate the ring wall at disparate angles. Viewing through these frames re-focuses one’s perspective on the essence of natural elements – trees, grass, flowers, sky, wind, raindrops, rocks, earth… and re-question their meaning. Individually and collectively. An interchange between people and nature.
Art/Architecture Meshes with Life Constructed of unfinished concrete, the memorial is a raw/blank canvas. The abstracted sculptural forms hover above ground and invite the visitors to engage them. Go up to any one of the floating frames. Touch it. Brush against it. Lean on it. Sit on it. Climb onto it. Climb inside it. Lie under it. Lie on top of it. Look up at the sky. Mercurial clouds. What is life?

The Pursuit of Liberation Buddhism Chinese Religion Museum Design Supervisor : Joseph Wong Location : Lion Rock, HK Type : Museum Design
The museum
is sitting on the foot of Lion Rock the hill and the slope are the boundaries of the museum. The idea of the museum is the educate the visitors to receive the real knowledge of buddhism in order to achieve nirvana. The museum is twisted with one simple element, like a strip growing/ liberating out from the earth. Different degree of twisting formed a complex elevation for the museum, as there is no exhibit in side the museum, the museum itself and the human activities are the ma jor exhibition. The complex elevation attract people to visit which bring out the sense of desire in life.

causality
- light isnt a fixed object, relying on different color, simply like black and white, can define the existing of light - there are different ways to define lighting: shadow and reflection of colors - the sizes of holes and edges define the reflection of light - the reflection of light can be presented in different state, some of the state can give out the sense of escaping

Liberation
- a single element can become a complexity element by crossing. Each cross can bring up a chain effect like the logic of butterfly effect. - different degree of crossing can define different level openness of space - the density of crossing can create an illusion of complexity. As the density getting higher will make people more lost, but actually the contacting point of each cross can simply linked up by a virtual line. Similar to the theory of purify, a complicated element can be very simple once you stand in a different view angle to read it.
A
The spaces are visually connected, but physically there is only one route to guide the visitor to “liberate” from the “desire”. This arrangement is trying to bring out the message of emptiness of buddhism, from the complex elevation to the simple space. Buddha believes that we have learn to accept and let go when we get into trouble or in stuffer. The elevation brings out the feeling of “trouble”/”desire”, once the visitor walk into the museum its like unwrapping a complex form, which similar with the sense of solving a problems and “liberating” in buddhism.

B
- grow in scale, density - the density of growing can define the contrast of openness and closeness of space - the scale of growing can affect the hierarchy of space

Osteoporosis Growth Place for youth development Supervisor : John Cheng Location : Central, HK Type : Analogy
Osteoporosis
is a deteriorated bone. Its porous properties provide architectural insight for space. This kind of spatial porosity might help the development of art in Hong Kong, in terms of introducing the product and process of art to public. There are two ma jor programs proposed in the design. 1)Gallery introducing the artwork 2)Working space and presentation space for designers. These two programs help both the designers and public to communicate and improve the image of art in the society.
