Season 2021 Awards
Unfortunately, with the impact COVID-19 once again had on the Junior League season, the Committee resolved that the only award’s that could be presented fairly on their merits for the 2021 season were the Leo Randle Award and our newest award, the ‘First National Daystar’ Trainer of the Year Award. Therefore, as noted below, all other Association awards will be recorded as ‘not awarded for Season 2021’ in the Association records
LEO RANDLE AWARD
The Leo Randle Award is considered an extremely prestigious award within our Association. Named after former Life Member and President, Leo Randle, this award is presented to a member who has shown considerable commitment and dedication towards the Association over a minimum period of 25 years. This award is chosen by the Committee each year.

CLUBB-JOHNSON TROPHY
The Clubb-Johnson trophy is awarded each year to the referee who finishes the season ranked number one, therefore refereeing the highest Grand Final possible. Unfortunately, due to the abandonment of the season owing to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Clubb-Johnson Trophy was not presented in Season 2021

FARRELLY-DICK TROPHY
The John Farrelly-Reg Dick Trophy is awarded each season to the most improved referee. This award is named after 2 former Life Members and is voted on by the Director of Referees

MATTHEWS-STYLES AWARD
The Matthews-Styles Award was introduced in 2012. This award is named after 2 former Presidents and Life Members, Les Matthews and Robert Styles. This award is presented to a new member (having not refereed before) who excels in their first full season. Training, meeting and social-function attendance as well as on field performance are all taken into consideration. This award is voted on by the Committee each year.

ARCHER-GARWOOD AWARD
The Archer-Garwood award was introduced in 2016 by the Committee and is awarded to a member who gives outstanding contribution to the Association within that calendar year. The award is named after 2 long serving Life Members, Paul Archer and Bob Garwood, both of whom are still actively involved in the Association to this day. This award is voted on by the Members.
