HELLO! BOOK-IT REPERTORY THEATRE’S ARTS AND EDUCATION PROGRAM is dedicated to inspiring people of all ages to read. We are proud to offer you an array of programs that provide forums for learning, growth, exploration, and participation in the intangible benefits of arts integration. Specifically, we are pleased to offer long-term residencies in schools, teacher professional development, and student matinées of Book-It’s mainstage shows. The unique Book-It Style® helps students connect with books on multiple levels as they ask questions, exchange ideas, and make meaning out of what they read, see, and hear – all while being “up on their feet.” I invite you to look over our brochure; please let my colleagues and I know how we can be of service to you in your classrooms. Sincerely, Annie DiMartino Director of Education annied@book-it.org

Each program is designed with the teacher to address specific fiction or non-fiction texts, content, academic standards, and student needs. In addition, Book-It residencies develop the skills and knowledge students need for economic and civic success in the 21st century workforce by fostering higher order thinking.
