About the Author: As a child at Aylburton Primary School, Gill loved writing stories and was inspired by her wonderful junior school teacher, Mrs Thomas. For several years Gill was a primary school teacher and now works with other teachers to help them provide exciting religious education lessons. Gill loves being with young children and reading them her stories. She also loves cats – and has 14 of them including Ziggy, Mustard and Midnight. She doesn’t have one with no name! About the Illustrator: Louise has always loved drawing and as a child could often be found with a pencil in her hand and is still the same now. Her little girl Rosie now loves drawing too and often does her own whilst her mum is illustrating one of our books. Louise enjoys working with children in her role as a Teaching Assistant and loves encouraging them to develop their art skills. Teacher Consultant: Melissa teaches in a primary school and for her teaching really is 'the best job in the world'. When not in the classroom she is kept busy with her young family and enjoys nothing more than spending fun filled days with them and Barney the dog!

Four fluffy kittens played joyfully in the sunshine. Life was such an adventure and there was so much to learn.
Puddles called her kittens to come away from the pond. She didn’t want one of them falling in!
The Reverend Freddie Fisher liked having the new family of cats in the vicarage.
Sally and Mike were also celebrating the arrival of their new family.
All the visitors were excited and wanted to know the babies’ names. Mike had chosen Alice and Anya but Sally wanted Chloe and Clare... how could they choose?!
Puddles and Arthur had also been trying to choose names. At last, they had decided on Ziggy for the grey kitten, Mustard for the ginger one and Midnight for the black one.
But what about the white one?! They just couldn’t decide‌
The following week, the church bells rang for the Sunday Service. But this was no ordinary service. This was a special baptism service to welcome the new babies into the church family.
Everyone in the village had been looking forward to this special day.
