Puddles Lends A Paw, is the second in a series of books which introduce very young children to aspects of the Christian faith. They are designed to capture the interest and imagination of children through the adventures of Puddles – a very mischievous cat. Look out for other titles to follow more adventures of Puddles, accompanied by the Reverend Freddie Fisher. About the Author: Gill Vaisey is a Religious Education Consultant specialising in the primary and early years phases of education. After studying for her B.Ed. Hons. degree, with Religious Studies as her specialist subject, she taught primary age pupils before taking up a post as an Advisory Teacher for Religious Education in Gwent. Gill has been a successful freelance consultant for the last ten years and has developed a passion for early years education through her most recent work with this age group. About the Illustrator: Louise Gwillym is a Nursery Nurse who has been working within the school environment for nine years. Through working with primary age children, Louise has developed her individual style of art which captures the interest and imagination of children of all ages, and in particular those in the early years phase of education. Teacher Consultant: The advice and expertise of Melissa Griffiths has been invaluable in producing this book and accompanying resources. Melissa has many years’ experience as an RE Co-ordinator and has worked with early years pupils for six years. Puddles loved Saturday lunchtimes. On Saturdays, she always had fish.
The Reverend Freddie Fisher sat at his desk. It was the Sunday service in church tomorrow. By now, he had usually decided what to talk about‌ but not this week.
What he needed was some help!
Puddles finished her lunch and wandered outside. She walked through the churchyard and saw that the big arched door of the church was open.
Puddles crept into the church. Her little nose twitched as she smelled the polish in the air. “Hello Puddles,” said Mrs Cooper. “Have you come to help me with the cleaning?”
“Oh yes,” thought Puddles, “this could be fun!”
Puddles ran up the steps of the pulpit and balanced on the railings at the top.

“Oh Puddles,” laughed Mrs Cooper, “that’s a funny way of cleaning the railings!”
But Puddles didn’t hear. Thinking she might be in trouble, she ran to the back of the church.
“Hello Puddles,” said Mrs Jones. “Have you come to help me arrange the flowers?”
“Oh yes,” thought Puddles, “this could be fun!”
