A weekend in the fjords
A coastal village in the fjord’s deep bay. Fishing boats, huts and wooden houses all in colours that have been faded and worn by the weather and wind. A feeling of quality that has been handcrafted with care to last forever. It is a place with few people, but rich with small, magical experiences. There is lots of time to do nothing, and lots of time for each other. In the north end of the village lies a hotel so old, everyone stopped counting its age hundreds of years ago. But it is still in full splendour, with a glorious past and present. The village and the hotel are surrounded by cold, quiet waters and high, green mountains with snowcaps that never melt. Everywhere you look there are enormous proportions and views – so much nature all at once. When seen from above, the houses look like dice, randomly thrown out on the edge of an enormous, expansive ocean.

The essential chino
Chinos are all about the small, invisible details. Our favorite pair is called Steve, and they are made of comfortable, satin cotton that becomes more beautiful the more you wear and wash it. Steve has a bit of stretch and the silhouette is narrow so the pants fit just right. It is available in several stylish and easily matched autumn colors.

Down jackets have been synonymous with Boomerang ever since the brand was founded in 1976. Our classic designs are still there, but we have updated the materials, fit and details. There are a number of new favorites in the collection, like our heavy down parka that can withstand the harshest of polar winds, and the ultra-light down jacket. One of our favorites for her is the tailored coat in a double-sided, gray wool fabric. It is a simple and elegant garment that includes pique plate-stitching along the narrow lapels and thoughtful details inside, like contrasting fabric lining. For him, one of the season’s favorites is the unstructured peacoat. Its stylish craftsmanship gives this classic a modern update, inside and out.

The ultra light down jacket The lightweight down jacket has become an indispensable, year-round favorite. Wear it over a shirt on cooler autumn days or under an overcoat if the mercury dips. Wonderfully soft, luxurious and warm merino wool. Choose from muted fall hues, or match bold colors with subtle wool and tweed garments. When you have grown out of or worn out your Boomerang garment, you can return it to the store. Some garments are re-labeled with the ‘good environmental choice’ eco-label from the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation (SSNC), and given a second chance as Boomerang Vintage pieces in selected stores. The garments that cannot be sold are recycled and given new life in other ways. We call it the Boomerang Effect. In return, you get a 10 percent discount when you buy something new, all while contributing to a more sustainable and better world.
