Designed to help teach 4-12 year olds the important qualities of respect, self control and confidence, while building motor skills and coordination. In addition, children will learn important “stranger danger” and bully drills. The first years are the most important. Local Service Club CELEBRATES 100 YEARS And Then Some!
“Worth the Wait” couldn’t be truer than at Belvidere Rotary’s 100 and Then Some Centennial Celebration. Established on May 20th in 1920, a true centennial was delayed due to Covid. The date clearly dictated the theme & the Roaring 20’s was embraced in all things! Held at the historic Funderberg House with music, dancers, food, cars, & candy all honoring the 1920’s origins of the Belvidere club, it was a step back in time. Many guests dressed for the occasion, & picture booths & cell phones captured the magic.
Local members, guests, & regional leadership joined together to mark the club’s history & dedication. As one of the oldest clubs in this global organization, Belvidere Rotary has been an active part of our community: Providing scholarships to local high school graduates, building an accessible playground, bell ringing for the Salvation Army, delivering “Meals on Wheels” with the Keen Age Center, coat drives, Christmastime adopt-a-family, & partnering with MANY other local charities.
