George B. Wanfalt George B. Wanfalt, 92, of Cherry Valley, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022. Born March 28, 1930, in Rockford, the son of George E. & Ester (Hedin) Wanfalt. Graduate of East High School, Class of 1947 & Rockford School of Business in 1950 & Northern Illinois University in 1976. Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War for two years.

George married Helen Coe on May 28, 1954. Together they celebrated 50 years. She predeceased him in 2004. He worked for the family business Producto Tool & Star Bit Co. & was the Vice President of Finance for Aubrey Mfg Inc. in Union, IL for 22 years. George was a member of Alpine Lutheran Church & YMCA Retired Mens Club. He was also a member of the American Legion - Navy Club & had many happy days at the Svithoid Club in Rockford. George loved golfing at Marengo Ridge Country Club & fishing in Northwest Wisconsin.

Survived by his children, John (Angela) Wanfalt of Marengo, Nancy McDermott of Loves Park, & Julie Wanfalt (James Hendron) of Capron; grandchildren, Michael, Nathan (Jessica) Wanfalt, Amanda Hogan, Rachael McDermott, Joseph, Thomas, & Daniel Eberhardt; & brother, Dean Wanfalt. Also predeceased by his parents; & son-in-law, Kevin McDermott.

The family would like to thank Northern Illinois Hospice for their care.

Frances Lyzbeth Mackey Frances Lyzbeth Mackey, 87, of Belvidere, IL passed away peacefully at her home Saturday, July 9, 2022. She was born December 1, 1934, in Rockford, IL. The daughter of the late Arthur C. and Lena (Bowman) Jacobsen. She lived in Illinois, Washington, and Michigan before graduating from Belvidere High School.

Fran married the love of her, Earl G. Mackey on Sept. 3, 1955, at St. James Church in Belvidere. Together, they built a home filled with love & laughter. Where for over 65 years, friends & family gathered for many wonderful meals & conversations. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and a Catholic Daughter. She is loved & will be missed by her children, Steven (Sue) Mackey, Patricia Mackey, and Susan (Alan) Bontjes; grandchildren, Michael Mackey, Kelsey Mackey, and Jack Bontjes; great grandson, Zander Mackey beloved cat, Larry “The Three Legged Lion”. She is preceded in death by her parents & he beloved husband, Earl G. Mackey. There will be a Funeral mass at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 15, 2022, at St. James Catholic Church, Belvidere, IL.
