Young bicyclists have a tendency to dart out without looking for traffic.
Arrive at the bus stop at least five minutes early to avoid rushing & never run to or from the bus. When waiting at the bus stop, stand at least five giant steps away from the curb. Wait until the bus comes to complete stop, the door opens & the driver gives you the okay before approaching the bus. Make sure the bus driver can see you. Always take at least ten giant steps forward before crossing in front of the bus & never behind it. Use the handrails when entering or exiting the bus to keep your balance, & never push or shove. If you drop something near the bus, don’t try to pick it up. Tell the bus driver instead. Always look left, right & left again before crossing the street.
