The YMCA will be accepting both team & individual sign up in all leagues. Practice and game schedule will be sent out to the coaches. If you have a preferred day or time please put that on your team roster

Description: This will be a beginners league for players to learn the basic skills of basketball, dribbling, passing, shooting, rules of the game & team work. There will not be any games for this league, practices only and team scrimmages. Must have at least 10 players to run the league, will be run by Y staff.

1. How can a REGISTERED voter vote? You can vote by mail, early vote in the Boone County Clerk’s office, or vote at your polling location on November 8, 2022. You must be registered to vote.
2. How do I know if I’m registered to vote? You can go to https://ova.elections.il.gov or call the Boone County Clerk’s office at (815) 544-3103.
3. How do I register to vote? You can register online at https://ova.elections.il.gov or print the registration form at home and mail in to the Boone County Clerk’s office: https://www.elections.il.gov/Downloads/VotingAndRegistrationSystems/ PDF/R-19.pdf or you can register in person at the Boone County Clerk’s office, 1212 Logan Ave, Suite 103, Belvidere, IL 61008
4. How do I vote by mail? You complete the application for a vote by mail ballot, sign and return to the Boone County Clerk’s office. You can call our office at (815) 544-3103 to request an application be mailed to you or you can download one at https://cms8.revize.com/revize/booneil/Permanent%20VBM%20application.pdf.
5. Are Absentee Voting and Vote by Mail the same thing? Essentially YES, both are casting a vote by mail. In Illinois, absentee voting was available if you were going to be “absent” on Election Day. A voter used to have to provide a reason for being absent. Illinois legislators took away the requirement to be “absent”, allowing any voter any reason to vote by mail.
6. Do I have to mail my voted ballot back to the County Clerk’s office? No, you may also walk it into the office. If you want someone else to deliver it for you, both you and the person who is delivering your ballot must sign the affidavit giving them permission. You may also drop it at 1212 Logan Avenue in the secure drop box.
7. What is the deadline for requesting a ballot by mail? November 3, 2022 at noon is the deadline for requesting a vote by mail ballot to be mailed to a voter. HOWEVER, please use good judgement and do not wait until the last minute. It is wise to request and mail your voted ballot back as soon as possible.
8. When do I have to have my voted ballot back to the County Clerk’s office to be counted? It must be postmarked no later than Election Day. Do not wait until 5PM on Election Day to be postmarked in time. The ballot can also be hand delivered by 7PM on election night.
9. Can I still early vote or vote at my polling location? YES!! Early voting is in the Boone County Clerk’s office beginning September 29, 2022 continuing through November 7, 2022. Polling information is on your voter registration card. Please look at your updated voter registration card for updated polling places.
10. Can I vote by mail and at my polling location? NO!! You only get to vote once. If you’ve requested a ballot by mail, you must turn that in UNVOTED if you decide to vote at your polling location.

Reporting directly to the County Board, primarily responsible for budgeting, long-range financial and capital planning, labor relations/negotiations, human resources, Committee of the Whole system, risk management, public information officer, and monitoring of federal and state legislative programs.
Requirements
The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in public administration or a related field. A Master’s Degree is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
Anticipated salary in the range of $115,000 to $140,000, depending on qualifications and experience. The County participates in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) public pension system and offers a generous benefits package, including: Health insurance, flexible spending accounts, an employee wellness program, term life insurance, supplemental insurance, twelve (12) holidays, paid time-off (including vacation, personal, and sick leave), and a deferred compensation 457(b) plan.
