It's always is good to maintain your friendships, as they say, “Great friendships last a lifetime“.

And has happened, I have a friend since my school days where our friendship was been built behind a stretcher along with many anecdotes. Even though several years haved passed it has lasted for a lifetime. My friendship with Monica, schoolmate in our College days which is impossible to forget, is one of those friendships that are the best I’ve had and consent! This is the reason that I started a conversation with her daughter, an active young woman that has surpassed frontiers with a specific goal, to be recognized globally. I’m taking about Tamara Bejar Warnholtz, born in Mexico City, and lived her childhood in Puebla where her family lives. At the end of her career of a BA in Textile Design, she moved to Guadalajara where she chose fashion photography. Her likeness for photography starts since she was in High School. “My story starts in school, I wished to become a fashion designer, but I decided to study Textile Design because it was the closest to that path. Once I graduated I learned about fashion stylist and that’s when I felt identified with photography. Almost as a game, Tamara stayed in this career where she lived new experiences. “After some time I met beautiful girlfriends and started to make photography, I remember they brought their outfits, I helped with their makeup and took some good pictures. Certainly what I liked the most was the visuals, even today walking down the street I imagine scenes where I could do my work.” Following her dreams, she chose a challenge to be a witness of moments and design within photography. “I discovered that being a Fashion Stylist and photography go along since they are those who dress the people, they have photo sessions and everything about production; from there I fond out that I love to direct and create everything, the pre-production, daily production and post production.” She has implemented her own style based in her experiences in different countries. “During the course of my career in Puebla, I decided to relocate to Barcelona in order to visualize what I really wanted to do, upon my return I graduated, and shortly afterwards I obtained a scholarship in Distrito Federal where I studied for a year, I returned to Puebla and saw an opportunity in Guadalajara where I learned some courses, and during that time I went to New York for two months, where I had a great experience and afterwards Tamara returned to Guadalajara; after my two year stay I decided to return home and established my own photographic studio, and was very satisfied with the results, even though eventually I decided to go back to Europe and learn about that continent, started living in Barcelona and now I live in Madrid, I knew it wasn’t easy but not impossible, I have been here for 3 and a half years, and whom have supported me the most are my parents whom I sincerely appreciate and thank them, they are the best thing that have happened to me.”

Tamara has perfected in production and photography, thanks to her training in this field. “What I do is to study, read the clients concept, to show what the client wants to be produced, another important element is the color palette with the brand or tendency set. And all the time being sincere, specify if possible and if feasible recommend and is better before betraying your own style or essence.” Now the challenges are to capture and witness moments and designs within photography. “My objective is to elevate the quality of my work and my portfolio, and for these I have had the opportunity to attend many different courses, study lighting, pre-production, production and imagery postproduction, interior design knowledge, makeup specialist, styling and content creation.” impulse, new ideas in artists, designers and all the fashion industry. “As an example, Guadalajara has a very fresh style, over there can be found great artists, painters and fashion designers whom have influenced me to take colorful imagery in my photography.” She went developed based in experiences, went to Florida since she received an invitation to participate in a photography contest. “It was in Miami, a 3 day summit that includes fashion industry conferences, it was very interesting to participate in the Latin American Fashion.”

Quite a challenge, since she was with great designers. “There were many scenarios since it was held at the Miami Design District, where many brands from Venezuela, Costa Rica, Peru, Colombia, and Mexico were participating; we needed to be aware of conferences, brand presentations, etc. There was an interesting contest. I networked with many people and loved to see the “greatest” sharing their experiences.” For Tamara her challenge is her work and she thanks everyone that flatters her photography artwork.

“Being there and see everything related with the fashion industry has impacted me, with so many people with successful stories makes me think about the design talent in Latin America, it really excites me and it was very interesting, sharing tips, plant many seeds, and I believe it was a trip with a learning experience on a visual mode.”

“What I really want to say is I’m very proud to be Mexican, I have the contrast of color in my blood and my objective is to make great campaigns, make myself known and for people to see that there are persons like me fighting against big challenges; I would love to be in the cover of an international magazine and also leave my legacy, leave my footprint in women because if you have a dream you can achieve it all. PURA VIDA, COSTA RICA!

“Lo que aplico es estudiar, leer el concepto, reflejar lo que se desea producir, otro elemento es la paleta de color de la marca o la tendencia que se tiene

Siempre es bueno conservar las amistades, dicen por ahi, que “Las grandes amistades son para toda la vida”. Y así ha pasado, he tenido una amiga que desde que era estudiante se ha construido; tras un restirador y acompañado de un sin fin de anécdotas. Aunque de eso ya hace tiempo, pero ha durado toda la vida. Ahora sí que mi amistad con Mónica, compañera de carrera es imposible de olvidar; y aunque vivamos lejos, les comento que es de esas amistades -diría yo- de las mejores que se tienen y se consienten! Esta es la razón que comienzo a platicar con su hija, a quien conocí, una joven, activa y que ha sobrepasado fronteras, con el único objetivo: ser reconocida a nivel mundial. Estoy hablando de Tamara Bejar Warnholtz, originaria de la Ciudad de Mexico, y que al poco tiempo vivió su niñez en Puebla donde radica su familia. Al termino de su carrera como Licenciada en Diseño Textil, se trasladó a Guadalajara donde se inclino por la fotografía de moda. El gusto por la fotografía lo inicia desde sus estudios de preparatoria “Mi historia es desde la escuela, deseaba ser diseñadora de modas, pero me metí a estudiar diseño textil porque era lo más cercano a esta carrera. Al graduarme comencé a conocer estilista de moda y ahí me identifiqué con la fotografía. Casi como un juego Tamara siguió en esta carrera donde obtuvo nuevas experiencias. “Después de tiempo me encontré con amigas que eran muy guapas y comienzo a hacer fotografía, recuerdo que ellas llevaron su ropa, las maquille e hicimos unas buenas tomas. Pero sobre todo lo que mas me gusto es lo visual; puedo decir que, hasta hoy caminando por la calle me imagino escenas en las que podría hacer un trabajo”. Siguiendo su sueños, se lanzó a un reto que incluía ser testigo de momentos y diseño dentro de la fotografía. “Descubrí el ser Estilista de moda y la fotografía que van de la mano ya que son las personas que visten a la gente, tienen sesiones de fotos y todo sobre esa producción; de ahi me doy cuenta que me encanta la dirección, y crear todo, la pre- producción, producción del día y la post producción”. El estilo propio lo ha ido incluyendo en base a sus experiencias en diferentes países. “Durante el curso de mi carrera en Puebla, decidí mudarme a Barcelona para visualizar realmente lo que quería hacer, a mi regreso me gradué y al poco tiempo fui becada en el Distrito Federal donde estudié por un año aproximadamente; a mi regreso a Puebla, vi una oportunidad en Guadalajara donde aprendí algunos cursos y durante ese tiempo fui dos meses a Nueva York ahí obtuve una experiencia enriquecedora y regrese a Guadalajara; al término de mi estancia por dos años en el occidente decidí regresar a mi casa y poner mi propio estudio de fotografía y estuve muy satisfecha con los resultados, aunque finalmente decidí que debía volver a Europa y conocer ese continente, comencé viviendo en Barcelona y ahora vivo en Madrid, sabía que no era fácil pero tampoco imposible, ya llevo 3 anos y medio, y quien mas me ha apoyado han sido mis padres a quienes agradezco enormemente, ellos son lo mejor que me ha pasado en la vida.

Tamara se ha perfeccionado tanto en producción como fotografía, gracias a la formación que ha buscado en este ámbito.

Y en todos los casos ser sincera, concretar si es posible hacerlo y si se puede hacer o recomendar y es mejor antes de poder traicionar tu estilo o esencia”.

Ahora los retos son captar y ser testigo de momentos y diseños dentro de la fotografía. “Mi objetivo es elevar la calidad de mi trabajo y mi portafolio, y por esto he tenido la oportunidad de realizar múltiples cursos, de iluminación en estudio, pre- producción, producción y post-producción de imágenes, conocimientos sobre interiorismo, y también especialista en maquillaje, estilismo y creación de contenidos”. En las ciudades que le ha tocado vivir han sido de impulso, nuevas ideas en artistas, diseñadores, y toda la industria de la moda. “Si, por ejemplo en Guadalajara tiene un estilo muy fresco, ahi se encuentran grandes artistas, pintores y diseñadores de moda que sin duda han influido en mí para tomar esos imágenes que dan idea de gran colorido en mis fotografías”. Actualmente Tamara llegó por una invitación a Florida para concursar en un evento fogografico

“Fue en Miami, un summit de 3 días donde hay conferencias de industria de la moda y fue interesante poder estar ahí en el Latin American fashion”.

Un reto grande, ya que estuvo junto a grandes diseñadores.

“Habían muchos escenarios porque se desarrolló en Miami Design District, donde participaron muchas marcas latinas como Venezuela, Costa Rica, Peru, Colombia, México; entonces teníamos que estar al tanto en ponencias y salas de presentaciones de marcas, etc. Hubo un concurso muy interesante. Me relacioné mucho y me encanta ver a los “grandes” compartiendo sus experiencias” Para Tamara su reto es su trabajo, y agradece a todas las personas que ahora alagan su arte dentro de la fotografía. “Si, estar ahí y ver a todo lo que se relaciona con el mundo de la moda me impacto, tanta gente con historias de éxito me hace pensar en el diseño que tiene Latinoamérica, realmente me emociona y fue interesante Compartir tips, sembrar muchas semillas y creo fue un viaje con mucho que aprender de manera visual” y continua.“Lo que si voy a decir que estoy muy orgullosa por ser mexicana, llevo el contraste de color en la sangre y mi objetivo es hacer campañas grandes, darme a conocer y que volteen a ver que existe gente como yo luchando con retos grandes; me encantaría poder estar en una portada de alguna revista internacional y también dejar un legado, dejar una huella en las mujeres ya que si se tiene un sueño se Puede todo, muchas gracias!
