BSPC People . . .who’s in-house? Each issue we get to know a BSPC professional from one of BSPC’s member firms and this week we are speaking to - Susan McConnell from Bannerman Burke Tell us about your role within Bannerman Burke I am joint Property Manager with Dee Elliot and we co run the estate agency side of the business from carrying out pre sale market appraisals to helping our clients secure a successful sale and all aspects inbetween!

How long have you worked with the firm? I started in May 2006 What do you enjoy most about your job? Meeting all sorts of different people whether they be purchasing or selling. I also get to see some lovely and unique properties and homes.

What keeps you busy when you’re not at the office? My free time is spent entertaining my 4 year old daughter so can usually be found at various local attractions such as Bowhill, soft plays and leisure centres!

Tell us about your home or dream home? It would be nice to have a lovely beach house somewhere hot and a city apartment to spend weekends shopping!

What would be your ideal holiday?

Where’s your favourite place in the Borders?

Spent a lovely two weeks in Sorrento Italy a few years ago so would love to back – beautiful scenery and food.

We live in a lovely part of the country and there are some beautiful walks and trails around my home town of Hawick.

What’s your greatest achievement? My daughter Erin.

Name two things you can’t live without? Family and friends.

What’s your favourite Borders eatery? I love the Denholm Meet for good food and nice surroundings.

Who is your favourite author/ artist or designer? When I have the time to read I enjoy the likes of Sophie Kinsella for something light hearted or James Patterson crime thrillers.

What’s playing in your car right now? A mixture of radio channels – I have varied music taste.

What natural talent would you like to have? I’d love be a good cook but unfortunately its not to be!!
