All-occasion Quilling Set 6”-square card blank Mustard cardstock gold mirror card fl oral papers gems happy birthday sentiment stamp

Step by step

1 Using the quilling tool and strands of paper, quill a circle, using the plastic guide gently release the paper from the tool and place in circle number 16. 2 Adhere the end of the circle in place and pinch into a teardrop shape. Repeat this 15 times, allow to dry and group into sets of fi ve. 3 To create the centre of the fl ower, cut one of the strands in half and twist into a small circle. Do not release from the tool until glued in place. Allow to dry. 4 Make up the fl ower shapes gluing each petal in place and adding the centre on the top, then allow to dry. 5 Mark the halfway point on the bottom of the card front and cut diagonally to each corner. Cut a 13.5cm square of Mustard cardstock and 13cm square of patterned paper and repeat the process. Matt the layers together including the triangle off -cuts. 6 Attach the off -cut triangles on the card front so they cross each other using 3D foam pads. 7 Add the three quilled daisies down the front, stamp the sentiment onto white cardstock, trim to size and layer onto Mustard cardstock before affi xing on the top of the card front using 3D foam pads. 8 Add gems to fi nish.

1 Cut acetate to fit the large ‘HOME’ template from the set. 2 Choose the colours to be used and, starting with the outline, add pins to the corners and wrap and glue around. Repeat for the letter and for stability add two or three more layers. 3 Using the quilling tool and strands, follow the template adding all the shapes to fill both letters. Allow to dry completely. 4 Matt and layer pink cardstock and floral papers. 5 Gently remove the letters from the acetate and place them

Step by step

1 Fill a fi ne-tip glue applicator with PVA glue. Use the fl oral swirl template card, quilling tool and colours of quilling paper required. 2 To make the fl ower, take one strand of quilling paper and the tool, slide the paper into the groove of the tool and holding it in place twist the tool to start making a circle with the paper. 3 Once the strand is completely curled, hold the circle and remove from the tool, gently place into the plastic measuring tool circle size required and adhere the end down. 4 Pinch the end to mould into a tear shape, repeat fi ve times and adhere in place on the template. 5 Using the same technique, but

pinching both ends, making the leaves and glue in place. 6 For the swirls, start with the same technique but this time add a dot of glue after the fi rst couple of twists to hold the beginning in place and curl. Glue the small circle onto the template and add glue to the swirl.

Step by step

1 Fill a fine-tip glue applicator with PVA glue. Use the swirl template from the quilling set, quilling tool and colours of quilling paper required. 2 Cut a piece of acetate to fit the template and secure in place with paperclips. This means the template can be reused. 3 Using the quilling tool start with a small circle and glue in place, using the pins and glue pull the strand around the pins following the template. 4 Where the strands of paper touch on the template, secure them together. As this is an intricate design, break down into smaller areas and allow to dry before starting the next part. Once complete, leave to dry. 5 Create the card using Hunkydory Under the Sea cardstock, cut out the Criss Cross die and seahorse. 6 Build up the back of the stepper card. 7 Now the quilling is dry, gently peel off the acetate and decide how to place it on the card front. Once you're happy, adhere the circles and hold in place. 8 Add the seahorse and sentiment. 9 Adding gemstones to parts of the quilling gives it more dimension and sparkle.

Work in sections to allow the glue to set before moving on

7 To keep to the lines, add pins and pull the strand to follow the curve of the lines. Hold in place with the glue. 8 Once dry, cut backing paper to fi t the card blank and using the Nuvo glue pen draw around the scallops and sprinkle with the Nuvo glitter, tap off the excess. 9 Cut a piece of gold mirror card to 11x14.5cm and mount the quilled template with 3D foam pads. 10 Using the frame die, cut out a frame to fi t the template in a contrasting colour, mount over the template and onto the gold card with 3D foam pads. 11 Attach to the scalloped card and add the sentiment to fi nish.
