Hello! I’m Jonathan Borton, a street and documentary photographer. If I had to sum up my work, I would say that my goal is to rekindle a lost sense of awe about the world in those who view my work. In today’s visually saturated world, it can feel like we’ve seen it all, like there is nothing left that has not been photographed a million times before. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. There are a thousand empty locations that we choose not to observe as we go about our day, a \PW][IVL LQٺMZMV\ []VZQ[M[ \PI\ _M LWV¼\ _ISM ]X NWZ -^MV among places that have been photographed in the past, there Q[ IT_Ia[ \PM XW\MV\QIT \W ÅVL VM_ UMIVQVO QV \PM IXXIZMV\Ta U]VLIVM WZ ]VQV[XQZQVO MV^QZWVUMV\[ _M ÅVL W]Z[MT^M[ QV 1 [MMS \W ÅVL \PM[M XTIKM[ IVL M`XMZQMVKM[ \PI\ _M PI^M QOVWZML or forgotten and, through my photographs there, to demonstrate that photography can still inspire a wonder about the world around us that we have all but lost.
