Hello! I’m Jonathan Borton, a street and documentary photographer. If I had to sum up my work, I would say that my goal is to rekindle a lost sense of awe about the world in those who view my work. In today’s visually-saturated world, it can feel like we’ve seen it all, like there is nothing left that has not been photographed a million times before. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. There are a thousand empty locations that we choose not to observe as we go about our day, a \PW][IVL LQٺMZMV\ []VZQ[M[ \PI\ _M LWV¼\ _ISM ]X NWZ -^MV IUWVO XTIKM[ \PI\ PI^M JMMV XPW\WOZIXPML QV \PM XI[\ \PMZM Q[ IT_Ia[ \PM XW\MV\QIT \W ÅVL VM_ UMIVQVO QV \PM IXXIZMV\Ta U]VLIVM WZ ]VQV[XQZQVO MV^QZWVUMV\[ _M ÅVL W]Z[MT^M[ QV 1 [MMS \W ÅVL \PM[M XTIKM[ IVL M`XMZQMVKM[ \PI\ _M PI^M QOVWZML WZ NWZOW\\MV IVL \PZW]OP Ua photographs there, to demonstrate that photography can still inspire a wonder about the world around us that we have all but lost.
