Engineer, innovator, teacher, entrepreneur – words that are but an attempt to describe what Dr. Amar Gopal Bose meant to those within Bose and the millions touched by his work and life. There are many within and outside of the company with a story about Dr. Bose and the innovations brought to life by Bose, but perhaps his biggest innovation was taking audio from the realms of mysterious technical knowledge into an experience that can be felt and heard in homes and listening spaces of today. We cannot help but echo Popular Science’s Tom Clynes’ sentiments about Dr. Bose – “Dr. Bose remind us that we could all afford to be much more skyward-looking, far-fetched and curious, and that we could believe more strongly in our own ability to create”.
