Tie the shoe lace of your shoe to a rubber band.
From a foot away from the shoe, pull the rubber band as close to the floor as possible.

Mark a starting line on a smooth floor.

Measure the distance from the start line where the sole starts to slide.
RUBBER SOLE REPAIR 1
Clean the sole of your shoe using water, detergent and an old toothbrush. Let it dry completely.

Using rough sandpaper, lightly roughen the sole until new rubber is exposed on the surface.
Rinse off loose particles with water until completely clean. Let it dry and test for improvements. Repeat as needed.
