Baseball Coming off the program’s best season ever, the Club Baseball team looked to build on the positive momentum from last season’s regional championship and World Series berth. The chief obstacle that the team had to overcome is the relative inexperience of the returning roster. The Eagles lost five starters and a number of key pitchers to graduation, so there are a lot of roles to be filled by both returning and new players. This inexperience was apparent this fall as the club posted a disappointing 1-4 record over two conference series. The team struggled against Sacred Heart and UConn where they had difficulty producing runs against tough pitching. Despite their tough start, the Eagles have four scheduled series in the spring which will provide them with the opportunity to hopefully climb in the standings and compete for a berth in the Northeast Regional tournament in May. Regardless, the players will benefit from the learning experience. On the plus side, the team looks forward to the return of some key players who were abroad this fall, including Patrick Armand ’21, who will jumpstart the top of the lineup. Overall, the fall was a learning experience for this young roster and along with development in the winter months, the team, led by Club President Marc Pietropaoli ’20, can be expected to come out ready to compete in March.
Player Spotlights: Kevin Haley ’21 – Kevin is the undeniable ace of this Eagles pitching staff. He is a tough competitor and has raw talent, which was displayed by his gritty one-run, nine inning, complete-game win against Sacred Heart in September. Nick Sansone ’20 – Nick had a solid semester on both sides of the ball this fall. Offensively, he anchored the middle of the lineup by hitting .437 and was solid defensively at first base as well. Josh Abel ’23 – Josh broke into the Eagles’ rotation as a freshman and did not disappoint. He had a sixinning, one-run outing against Sacred Heart in September and will be an important part of the rotation in the spring campaign as well. 3
Men’s Basketball
The Men’s Club Basketball team is off to a hot start this season, as they ended the semester with a 7-0 record! In their seasonopening games against Clark University, the team demonstrated their great execution and hustle on both the offensive and defensive ends of the court. They have developed a much faster pace to their game than in previous years, running the court extremely well and scoring quick buckets. After blowPlayer Spotlight: out wins against Clark and BU, the team played their series home opener against Brown University. Both were In the team’s home-opener, Matt O'Neil exciting games and the Eagles finished on top. The third had 16 points with 3 three-pointers made, game in the series was awarded to BC by default, due to 5 assists, 2 rebounds, and 3 steals! a forfeit from Brown. The team, led by eight seniors (Mitch Bishop, Brett Bisson, Luke Doyle, Jack Gaffney, Will Lamb, Kyle Mak, Patrick McPhee, and Matt O’Neil) has both the leadership and the talent to win the National tournament in April. To secure a spot in the tournament, they must place first or second in a singlegame elimination Regional Tournament which will take place in March. The Eagles have established themselves as a premier team in their conference, along with Harvard, Northeastern, and Providence, and will have a chance to prove themselves against these teams during the spring semester. With an exciting season ahead, the Eagles are working extremely hard to continue their success in the Spring semester and hopefully extended their undefeated streak! 4
Women’s Basketball
The Women’s Club Basketball team had a very successful fall semester. With a talented returning squad accompanied by one new freshman and three new sophomores, they entered the semester ready to work hard and win games. The team opened up the season with a win against Northeastern University, and after two tough losses to the University of Vermont, the girls re-grouped and have not lost a game since. They bounced back with a big win against rival UConn followed by another win against Harvard. They then finished off the semester competing in the Northeast Regional Championship at Boston University. The team came out hot, going 3-0 in pool play with wins against Villanova, Syracuse, and Boston University. They were then seeded #1 moving into the playoffs, where they beat Villanova again in the finals to become the BU Regional Champions and to finish the semester with a record of 7-2. This upcoming spring, they are looking forward to their first season participating in the NCBBA Women’s league. In addition to league play, they will be competing in a few other tournaments against various teams in the Northeast, with the ultimate goal of attending the NCBBA National Tournament in South Bend, Indiana or the NIRSA National Tournament at Wichita State University in Kansas in April. After a strong first half of the season, the girls are excited to continue their success in the spring. 5

Men’s Crew Head of the Charles Results: Collegiate 8+ 16th/38 Collegiate 4+ 15th/40 Club 8+ 24th/39 Men’s Rowing is coming off a strong fall season, which was highlighted by their impressive results at the 55th Head of the Charles Regatta. The Charles River had favorable racing conditions for this year’s race. The weather was warm, and over 11,000 athletes, 2,000 different boats, 800 different clubs from around the world, and 70 racing events, drew in around 300,000 spectators. The team had three entries this year, two eights and one four, each of which had a strong showing on the water. The Varsity 8+, competing in the Collegiate 8+ category, placed 16 th out of 38 and requalified for next year’s race. The Second Varsity 8+ raced in the Club 8+ event, placing 24 th and beating nearly every other boat entered in the event that is a part of the ACRA league. The Collegiate 4+ finished off the weekend with a 17th place finish out of 40 and another requalification for the event next year. After the Head of the Charles, the team sunk in for a rigorous training cycle to both improve and test their fitness, as both indoor and on-the-water workouts throughout the winter have proven the team to have a historic degree of depth. As Men’s Rowing transitions from the fall season into winter training, the Eagles look to continue increasing the overall strength of the team. Under Head Coach Nick Guida, Associate Head Coach Trevor Appier, and Novice Coaches, TJ Zaleski and Eddy Mog, the team will be putting in hard work throughout the winter that will hopefully translate into speed on the water for their spring sprint season.

Cycling Player Spotlight: Andrew Theall ’20 1st, ECCC Championships Men's B CrossCountry MTB Race During the 2019 fall competitive season, the Club Cycling Team competed in both mountain bike and cyclocross races. In the former, three competitors traveled to two race weekends as part of the Eastern Collegiate Cycling Conference. At the first mountain bike race, new biker Joey Kananen, Vice-President Andy Theall, and team member Mike Constas raced in several disciplines and had some impressive results. During the second race weekend, these three riders went to the ECCC Championships, and Andy Theall won a conference championship in the Men’s B Cross-Country event. After the completion of the ECCC season, racers Cole Tamburri and Keith Kaminski represented Boston College at the Northampton International Cyclocross weekend where they faced both cold temperatures and a challenging course. This was the second year that the team has sent competitors to a cyclocross race, and the team looks forward to growing their involvement in this iconic part of the sport in future years. Throughout all of this, the road racing team began their base training for its primary season in the spring. The team as a whole is looking forward to what should be one of the most successful road seasons in team history after strong showings in both of its fall racing disciplines.

Equestrian The Club Equestrian Team has had a terrific season so far! The semester began with tryouts at their barn, the Hillside Meadows Equestrian Center, in Grafton, MA. Later on in the season, the team achieved reserve champion at the Bridgewater State show. The team also pulled off a superbly-run home show on November 10th, which went incredibly smoothly! Every team member helped set up the barn the day before, and everyone had a specific job on the day of home show to ensure every horse and rider was properly cared for. Many riders won classes in their divisions this semester, including sophomore Emma Ellis in open flat, senior and captain Kate Bade in intermediate flat, sophomore Natalie Azzolini and freshman Alicia Bergeron in limit fences, and sophomore Ashley Vincent in limit flat. In addition, junior Secretary, Kasia O’Brien, and junior Treasurer, Niamh O’Sullivan, both moved up divisions this year, with Kasia riding well in open fences and Niamh stealing the show in open flat. Both riders finished in 2nd second place in their debuts at their new levels. Figure Skating
The Club Figure Skating Team is off to an incredible start, ending the fall semester with two competitions under their belt. After hiring their new coach, Christine, at the start of the semester, the team held tryouts mid-semester and welcomed five new members. After losing 15 members at the end of last season, the team was excited to welcome new talent and energy to round out the starting 12 spots. To kick off the season, the team headed to Worcester, MA to compete at the Boston Classic Synchronized Skating Classic. The Eagles took the ice against five college teams from across the Northeast and came home with a gold medal. Boston Classic gave the team the opportunity to check out the competition for the season and make an first impression on the judges they would see at the Eastern Sectional Synchronized Skating Competition in mid-January. Coming off their win at Boston Classic, the team was excited to skate for the crowd at the Men's Club Hockey game against RWU. The crowd was super excited and gave the team the energy they needed to perform! Then, right before finals the team headed to Stamford, Connecticut to compete at the Terry Conners Synchronized Skating Classic. It was a tough competition and the team finished in 5th, but they are looking to continue full steam ahead perfecting their skating skills and new choreography. The Eagles are excited to return to campus in early January for training week to prepare for next semester, which includes the Eastern Sectional Synchronized Skating Championship in Albany, New York . At Eastern’s, the team hopes to dazzle the competition and judges with their Great Gatsby themed program.

Golf
The Club Golf team spent the fall semester preparing for the spring 2020 season. After losing a handful of talented seniors last year, the team added a group of energetic, exciting, and great golfers early in the season. The team practiced regularly throughout the fall and is looking forward to the warmer spring months to get back into NCCGA league play. The Eagles only competed in one tournament this semester, but one tournament was all they needed to collect some hardware. At the 2019 Beanpot Championship, the team was up against the best club golfers from Boston University, Harvard, MIT, and Northeastern, however after a long day of great golf, the Eagles came out on top for the third year in a row, with a final score of 226. Sophomores Garrett Madden and George Mitchell led the charge with a low score of 73. Junior Juan Motta followed their lead with a great round of 74, and Nathan Foster was also among the low scorers with a 79 on the day. Men’s Lacrosse This fall, the Men’s Club Lacrosse team prepared for what will be an incredibly challenging second semester. In the spring, the Eagles will travel to Virginia, Southern California, and Atlanta to go head to head with some of the best teams in the country. After hiring a new coach during the summer, this year’s squad is ready for the challenge. The team has welcomed Patrick Stanton, a member of the United States Air Force from 2012-2018, to his first year as head coach of the Eagles. Stanton was a flight commander based in Japan and California before serving as an assistant coach at Cal Poly, where he helped the Mustangs advance to the 2019 MCLA National Championships. Stanton has fit in well with the team, organizing competitive practices and establishing a healthy team culture. As a graduate of Northeastern University ‘12, Stanton helped plan a joint practice and scrimmage with the Northeastern squad in which the Eagles buckled their helmets with the Huskies for a brisk Thursday evening contest. After practicing multiple times a week in the fall, the Eagles were put to the test as they participated in multiple skillbased drills and a full field scrimmage to cap off the night. After finishing 8-5 last season with a quarterfinal exit in the Continental Lacrosse League tournament, the Eagles look ahead to the upcoming season and will try to compete for a ticket to the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association National Championships in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Men’s Rugby BCRFC started the season in late August with a fourday preseason that allowed them to get in shape and prepare for a long and physical nine game season. They worked on team play, individual skills, and the fitness required for playing the best teams throughout the Northeast. The team started their season with a huge win at Fairfield, followed by two resounding victories over URI and UConn. They then fell to a tough competitor and eventual champion Northeastern, but the boys finished the season with a huge win over UMass Amherst and earned the wildcard spot in the four-team Liberty Conference playoffs. The team traveled to Syracuse to face the #1 seeded Orange and prevailed in a 39-10 statement win to make it to the championship match vs. crosstown rival Northeastern. In a fast and physically demanding match, the Eagles kept it close in the first half but eventually were unable to compete with the undefeated Huskies. They finished the season with a friendly game at Notre Dame the night before BC Football’s Holy War. In freezing temperatures, it was a competitive match where the Eagles and the Fighting Irish went back and forth before a defensive battle in the last twenty minutes found the Irish up by three as the whistle blew. This season was one of the best in BCRFC history, ending with a 6-3 record and 2nd place in the Liberty Conference. With many competitive games against top teams throughout the Northeast, the Eagles were consistently placed in the top 25 nationally. The boys are excited to continue their success in 15s into a strong spring season of both 7s and 15s.

Women’s Rugby
The Women’s Rugby Football Club kicked off the season with rigorous practices welcoming newly recruited members. Coach Ken Daly and John led the team by offering skilled coaching for both the backs and forwards. The team had two-hour practices three times a week and maintained their strength and fitness with workouts in the Margot Connell Recreation Center twice a week. Veterans taught rookies the basics in tackling and passing, while also offering additional support for new players. Before the official league matches began, BC played against BU in a challenging scrimmage. Although the team lost 5-53, this unofficial match set the tone for the work that needed to be done to make the necessary tackles and runs in the upcoming games. Shortly after, the A-side team went up against UConn in their first official match. The Eagles held UConn to a 0 -0 score line until just before half, but they ended up losing 0-39. The score for the B-side remained tied until the very end, where they ended up losing 7-10 in a close match. In their next away game, BC scored on the field kicks following tries and ended the game with a loss of 35-62. In the first official match against Boston University, BC came back stronger and scored more tries than in the initial scrimmage. Despite these improvements, Boston College lost with a final score of 14-33. The team came back with a powerful win against URI, culminating in a score of 29-5. Despite this success, the team lost against UMass in a demanding game with a final score of 45-19. At the end of the season, BCWRFC placed 5th out of 6 teams after URI forfeited their game. This spring, they will focus on technique and injury prevention to lead themselves into a stronger season. 16
Running

At their first cross country meet, the UConn Invitational, the women’s team placed 1st and the men’s team placed 4th, despite a challenging course. In their next meet, the UMass Invitational, the women’s team placed 1st and the men’s team came in 2nd place as a result of many impressive performances. At the Harvard Invitational, the women placed 1st and the men’s team took 2nd place against a large field of collegiate club runners. The men’s team came in 4th place, and the women’s team placed 2nd. Four athletes on the men’s and women’s side secured spots in the top ten. As a result of their performance, both teams qualified for the NIRCA National Championship race in Richmond, VA. They had an amazing end to their season there with the women’s team placing 10th overall and the men’s team placing 20th. In particular, Emma Saart helped to lead the women’s team by placing 13th overall and earned First Team All-American honors. The team is very excited to have had such a fun and successful season and looks forward to their track season next semester!

After being denied the chance to qualify for the National Tournament due to a rainout at Regionals last season, the Men's Club Soccer team came into Fourth straight undefeated season (7-0-3) the season with high expectations to get back to NIRSA Region I Division Champions Nationals. BCFC put together their 4th straight undefeated season this year, finishing the regular season with a 7-0-3 record. Once again winning the Boston/Providence division, the team came up with some impressive wins down the stretch, including beating rival Northeastern 3-0 to take control of the division. After qualifying for the Regional tournament, BCFC was forced to show their depth after losing 4 starters due to injuries and other circumstances shortly before the tournament. They advanced through the group stage with a 2-0-1 record, beating undefeated and #4 ranked Cornell in the process. The semifinal saw BCFC beat #14 ranked Fordham in a hardfought 2-1 win. They then took on Drexel for their 2nd Regional Championship appearance in the last 3 years. This 5th and final game of the weekend saw tired legs for both sides. BCFC carried the play throughout, but after the game ended at 0-0 in regulation, they were heartbroken to lose in penalty kicks. The team was disappointed to not qualify for the National tournament through penalties, but they take pride in never once losing a game in regulation all season.

Women’s Soccer The Women's Club Soccer Team started off their semester with a fun week of preseason prior to holding tryouts for the season. They traveled and competed around the Boston area during the start of the fall, rounding out their regular season going undefeated and placing first within their division. They then qualified for their Regional Tournament where they traveled to Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. At the tournament, the team played some of the top teams in the Northeast, playing five games in Undefeated Regular Season only two days. After a long and tiring NIRSA Division Champions weekend, the team ended up finishing as a Region I Champion, defeating The NIRSA Regional Champions College of New Jersey in their final 5 Players Selected to NIRSA National game. This achievement punched the Championship All-Tournament Team team’s ticket to the NIRSA Competitive National Championship in Round Rock, Texas. At Nationals, the girls played six hard fought games, beating big name schools such as The University of Wisconsin, UCLA, Grand Valley State, Colorado State, and the University of Colorado. The team lost a tough battle in the finals to the defending champions, Ohio State University, ultimately falling 2-1. The team placed 2nd in the Nation overall, the farthest any BCWCS team in history has ever made it. Women’s Squash
The Women’s Club Squash team has had a very successful start to their season so far. They took on six new talented Eagles, five of whom are freshmen. The team started their competitive season with a match at the end of October against Boston rival, BU, and had an impressive 9-0 win. The next match was at the beginning of November against another Boston rival, Northeastern. Even with some top players missing, the team was still able to get the victory, ultimately defeating them 5-4. There were some very entertaining and nailbiting matches, with four of the matches going to five sets! The ladies then headed to Washington, D.C. in the middle of November to play a round robin against Bucknell and Georgetown. The Eagles were yet again victorious against Bucknell, winning 8-1, even though some of the top players were not able to come. Georgetown was a much more challenging match, and despite some very close matches (four went to five sets once again), the Team Leaders: Hoyas were victorious over the Eagles 8-1. The Abigail Arturi ‘21 - 4-0 record team still felt proud of their strong performance, and the girls are really looking forward to playing Grace Fink ‘21 - 3-1 record Georgetown again in January on the Heights for the Christiana Didizian ’22 - 3-1 record first ever home match in the team’s history. Overall, it was a very successful and promising start to the Kendall Kozikowski ‘20 - 3-1 record season, and the team is really looking forward to a packed second half of the season next semester with matches against St. Lawrence University, Northeastern again, Colgate, and others. Nationals will be held at Yale University at the end of February, so they will be training hard to give it their best shot and hopefully come out victorious! 20
Table Tennis In their second year as a recognized club sport, the Club Table Tennis team (BCCTT) has been working hard to build upon their inaugural season last year. This year, the team had a record-high 150 students sign up for the team at the activity fair at the beginning of the semester. About 80 of them showed up to tryouts, and BCCTT had to face the tough decision of trimming down the field to 20 members. The team is extremely proud of the practice attendance this semester, as every member on the team makes it to at least one practice a week and all members have been able to fulfill and exceed expectations. President James Liao, Vice-President Bryan Regalado, Treasurer Roy Li, and Captain Jianxin Wang all work diligently together to ensure a healthy and competitive environment for the team. The E-Board members meet once every two weeks to discuss training plans and team feedback, trying their best to prepare the team for the National Collegiate Table Tennis Association (NCTTA) Divisional tournament. BCCTT had its first Divisional tournament in November at Harvard University. Six teams attended the event: Harvard University, Dartmouth College, Northeastern University, UMass Lowell, MIT, and Boston College. The Eagles entered the event as the second seed and expected to continue their outstanding performance. After defeating Dartmouth College, UMass Lowell, and MIT, BCCTT unfortunately lost to Harvard University and Northeastern University. Northeastern has been known as a strong team for years, but Harvard University surprised BC by beating them 3-2. Nonetheless, the team is working hard and hoping to get revenge at the second Divisional tournament in February 2020 and is still in good shape to quality for the NCTTA Regionals.

Men’s Ultimate Frisbee It was a fun season for Men’s Club Ultimate! The team kicked off the semester by holding six rounds of tryouts. After losing some great talent in last year’s graduating class, they took on 15 rookies to bring the fall roster to 31 members. The season got off to a great start as the team made its annual pilgrimage to YMCA Camp Becket on the weekend of October 4th-6th. While there, the team had a total of 8 hours of practice as well as participated in teambuilding activities, including doing a low and high ropes course. Overall, the weekend was helpful in allowing the athletes to improve their ultimate skills as well as foster camaraderie and a strong team culture. Later in the season, Men’s Ultimate sent two teams to participate in the Brandeis B-Bash. The two teams went a combined 8-0 on the day, beating teams such as Brandeis, WPI, UMass-Lwell, Northeastern B, and Harvard B. To wrap up the fall season, the Eagles hosted their alumni for the annual Alumni Game. The game occurred at 12:30 PM at Alumni Stadium on Sunday, November 3rd. The current players, led by Jake Bernhardt, Jake Peters, Myles Hahn, and Ben Wishnie-Edwards squared off against current head coach Ryan Cardinal, Nick Porter, Nick Crain, and the rest of the alumni. After a long, hard fought battle, the alumni controversially won 13-12 on universe point. Despite the fact that the team lost to the alumni, the weekend was still a great success and everyone on the team is looking forward to getting together again next year! Looking ahead to next semester, Men’s Ultimate is excited to jump into the spring season, where they’ll compete in the USA Ultimate Division I Metro Boston Conference.

Women’s Ultimate Frisbee
The fall season has been very exciting for the Women’s Club Ultimate Frisbee team! There were 54 Eagles who participated in the fall season, consisting of a mix of returning players and rookies on both the A and B teams. Back in early October, the Eagles sent one team to the Lemony Fresh Fall Classic in Rhode Island, where they ended the day with a 2-2 record and 4th place finish in their division. They played many local teams from the greater Boston/New England area, and many of the rookies got to play their first game of ultimate. In late October, the Eagles sent two teams to Lobster Pot in Portland, Maine for the first time. This was a great opportunity for players to get to play with the teammates they might potentially have in the spring as well as to see a larger variation of other teams from the Northeast Region. The team traveled to MIT for a scrimmage with their A and B teams in early November, which was a great way to play with some familiar friends. Since then, the two teams have been practicing separately but always spend time together outside of practice at events such as the Alumni game in early November, board game nights, and a gift swap in December. The Eagles are very excited for the spring and to see all of their hard work from the fall season pay off! 23
Men’s Volleyball Coming off of a strong 20182019 campaign that included an Honorable Mention in the rankings for the Top 25 teams in the nation, the Eagles took flight early this year with strong performances at Brandeis University and at the Boston University Fall Invitational. After losing five members of the starting six, the team has seamlessly added four more talented Eagles who have worked hard to sharpen their skills and elevate their game to the club’s renowned intensity. This group has worked hard throughout the “offseason” focusing on drills, conditioning, and competitive intra-squad scrimmages as they prepare to dominate against their competition in the New England Club Volleyball League (NECVL) in the spring semester. After an early morning start in October, the team proved they have what it takes by defeating URI and UMass and then splitting two close games against the Northeastern Huskies, a squad that the Eagles look forward to competing against several more times throughout the year. The team continued their success the following weekend at BU, posting a 5-2 record against a talented pool of competition, which included many stars of the NECVL from last year. After gaining valuable insight on the state of the team at these two events, senior captains Chris Mahar, Dermot Adelmann, and Matt Holiday have worked hard to fine tune the squad to be ready for league play coming this February. Until then, the Eagles will continue working hard during their practices at the new Margot Connell Recreation Center.

Women’s Volleyball The Women’s Club Volleyball team ended the semester ranked 5th in the Northeast region. After graduating four seniors and sending a middle hitter and setter abroad for the fall semester, the team added two new additions: Cassidy, a setter from Delaware, and Madeleine, a right side/ outside hitter from Wisconsin. The team began its season on October 20th with a tournament at the University of New Hampshire, where they defeated UMass-Amherst in the finals, securing their first win of the season. The team then ventured to UConn on November 3rd, where they played very competitively, but lost to Northeastern 25-30 in a wellmatched semifinal. Then on November 17th, the team stayed local and played at Boston University, where they unfortunately struggled to make playoffs. After a restful Thanksgiving break, the Eagles had a hard week of practices to prepare for their home tournament at the Margot Connell Recreation Center, which was the first time the Eagles had hosted in the new facility. Cheered on by families and friends, the Eagles only dropped one set all day, securing an exciting victory over their long-time rival, Northeastern, in a three set match. Off of the court, the team participated in the Welles Crowther Red Bandanna Run and supported the Men’s Club Volleyball team at nearby tournaments throughout the season. The team is excited to welcome home two juniors, Grace and Maggie, from Copenhagen and Cape Town respectively, as they reluctantly say goodbye to middle hitter Maddie West, wishing her well as she studies abroad in London. The team is excited for their spring season and plans to continue working hard to prepare for the NCVF National Tournament in Kansas City, MO.

Men’s Water Polo HIGHLIGHTS: Undefeated Regular Season (11-0 record) 4th-Straight New England Regional Championship
Finished 11th at CWPA National Championship Men's Club Water Polo finished their 2019 regular season with an impressive 11-0 record, outscoring opponents in division play by a margin of 177-66. During the regular season, the Eagles successfully hosted their first ever home tournament in the new Margot Connell Recreation Center, defending their new home turf by winning all four of their games. After dominating at their other preliminary tournament at Yale, the Eagles entered the New England Division Championship as the top seed, cruising to the championship game against Dartmouth. In front of 250-plus fans, the Birds defended the New England Division title with a 16-6 victory over Dartmouth and secured a spot in the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) National Championship for the fourth year in a row. At Nationals, which was hosted by the University of Pittsburgh, the Eagles dropped their first game against Michigan State. After a quick two-goal effort from Dan Walsh ('20) that left the Eagles ahead 2-1 half-way through the first, the Eagles struggled offensively while slowly leaking goals, eventually losing 7-14. Next, the team defeated host Pittsburgh 16-10, with Michael Spence ('20) single-handedly netting half the Eagle's goals. They then moved on to defeat Army 13-7, with Omar John ('21) netting a hat-trick. Finally, while the senior goalie duo of Tyler Dubiel ('20) and Hart Ayoob ('20) combined for 16 saves, the Eagles lost their last game to Texas 5-9. Under the leadership of captains Spence and Walsh and supported by a strong senior class, the Eagles finished the season with a record of 13-2, and returned to Boston ranked 11th in the Nation. Seniors Filip Filipovic ('20), Walter Haracz ('20), Peter DaGiau ('20), and Chris Gillette ('20), contributed valuable minutes and leadership in the pool. While the graduating class of nine seniors will be considered a loss, the future remains bright, with a strong junior class led by Omar John ('21), Andrew Wilson ('21), and Nathan Yeung ('21). The Eagles will also look towards underclassmen Jack Klingler ('22), Carter Dwyer ('22), Davis Getcheous ('22), and Luke Siwik ('23) to add unique skills and critical time in the water.

Women’s Water Polo Coming off a successful spring semester, in which the Women's Club Water Polo team placed 8th in the country, the team returned to campus to begin preparing for the 2019-2020 season. Although three of the team’s juniors were missed while they studied abroad, the team was excited to welcome six new freshman to the roster after holding tryouts. The team worked hard during this off-season, and focused on swimming faster, learning new skills, and bonding in and out of the pool. The team takes pride in participating in football clean-ups, during which the Eagles grab some gloves and a broom and clean up the Alumni Stadium concourse on the mornings after home football games. In addition, the team was able to cheer on the Men's Club Water Polo team at their tournaments at both BU and on campus. In October, many of the Eagle also ran in the Welles Crowther Red Bandanna 5k Run. In November, the Eagles traveled to MIT for a friendly scrimmage with the MIT Women's Club Water Polo team. The ladies were very excited about practicing in the beautiful Aquatics Center in the new Margot Connell Recreation Center, and hope to be able to host a tournament in the future! The Eagles will be back in January to kick off their regular season, and they are looking to continue their undefeated regular season record (from both the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 seasons), in addition to winning their division and hopefully returning for the third consecutive year to the Collegiate Water Polo Association National Club Tournament in May!
