Famed actor and local legend William Gillette leaves his castle on the Connecticut River to adapt Dickens’ holiday classic in the 1920s. Local heroes Mark Twain, P.T. Barnum and more make spirited appearances opposite Gillette’s Scrooge in a highly theatrical twist on a family favorite. Custom-made for Goodspeed with all-original music, here’s a tuneful, heartfelt confection spiced with enough Nutmeg State flavor to sweeten your season.

Portland has changed considerably in the past 100 years, but one constant has been the copper beech tree at the PMA—and, for much of that time, the lighting of the tree for the holidays. Become a part of the tradition with their annual ceremony, commemorated this year with season-inspired poems, music, and streetside s’mores from The Marshmallow Cart. It all leads up to the spectacular lighting of the copper beech tree.
