ABOUT SHOW OF THE MONTH CLUB Where the worlds of Theater and Travel Come Together in ONE GREAT CLUB! Show of the Month Club was founded in 1956 and is the only theater and travel membership club in the country. Over the past 60 years the Club has offered its members top-price theater tickets for thousands of shows, at a discount. Today, Show of the Month Club continues to provide its members with a convenient, simple and economical way to order theater tickets for the best shows coming to greater Boston. Back in the mid-1960s, the Club began offering a small selection of domestic and international travel packages. They became so popular that we created The Travel Club, now included in Show of the Month Club membership, featuring carefully planned yet affordable trips to over 100 destinations every year! Today, The Travel Club is a full-service, private travel agency where your travel advisor knows you and is easily available on the phone! Here are just a few good reasons why our travelers wouldn’t travel with anyone else: • Our groups are small—usually around 18 to 24 travelers. • All departures are from Boston’s Logan International Airport on regularly scheduled, major airlines. • Traveling solo? The Club offers some of the lowest single supplements in the industry. • And our trips are legendary for value. Our motto is Spend Less, Travel More!

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING The Amalfi Coast April 2018 Thank you for a terrific trip. A great travel experience with The Travel Club! I know I will be a repeat traveler. Well planned and organized. Tour guide was excellent. Good group of people on tour - very friendly. This trip exceeded my expectations!! Bravo! —Nancy W. Classic Tuscany April 2018 The tour was everything I thought it would be and turned out to be better than I thought. The hotel was nice. The staff was helpful and extremely friendly. The food was delicious every night and we always had variety. Raffella is the perfect tour director. She’s knowledgeable, kind and always there for us to help with whatever we need. This is my second tour with her and I love being part of the family. Local guides were great too. Overall the process to book my trip was seamless thanks to Kim and Barbara. The other travelers were so nice. I was solo but felt included with everyone. Can’t wait to book my next trip with SOMC! —Kim O. Costa Rica February 2018 It was a pleasure having Barbara on the trip. She blended in and enjoyed the trip as much as we did. I really liked the size of the group. We bonded easily and learned from each other. Everyone was included in the fun and if someone wanted to be apart, that was fine too. —Nancy S. The Amalfi Coast April 2018 The trip was wonderful and the Tour Director was excellent (Alessandra) and the bus driver was exceptional, especially on those roads on the mountains. The whole trip was a very nice time and wonderful for the money. —Paula G.

Costa Rica

Paris Escape April 2018 Paris in April was fabulous! The weather was perfect, flowers were blooming, people were outside at restaurants dining and drinking, the hotel was centrally located, the included tour and guide were fabulous. I would go back again tomorrow. And, my 10 year old granddaughter had her first “out of country” trip to the location of her dreams. She kept a journal detailing each day's activities and it is priceless. —Maureen H. The Amalfi Coast April 2018 Everything about our vacation was great once we arrived in Naples. The hotel was comfortable & in a good location to get around by foot. The food could be better at the hotel but not terrible. The best thing was the tour director, Alessandra. She was knowledgeable, friendly, funny & really cared about us. She went above & beyond to help people in the tour. She stayed with us to interpret when we tried to exchange money in a bank and when we weren’t able to because we didn’t have our passports with us she gave them her information in order for us to exchange the money. I witnessed her go out of her way several times like this. I have been on many tours but never treated as well. The scenery, food & tours on this trip were excellent. I have recommended this tour to everyone I know and look forward to future tours with the Travel Club. —Debra R. Venice April 2018 Absolutely love The Travel Club. I have taken two trips and have been extremely pleased with both. —Joyce M.

ABOUT THE TRAVEL CLUB! —Maureen H. The Amalfi Coast April 2018 The participants in this Amalfi tour were a funloving and interesting group. Lots of fun to travel with. Alessandra Bottone was an amazing tour director. A ball of energy, she kept us on schedule, informed and entertained-all the while with flexibility with patience. Our bus driver, Domenico, navigated the Amalfi coastal road with admirable skill. I appreciated the activity options that Alessandra suggested, such as the boat cruise around the island of Capri and the Faraglioni rocks, and her recommendation for a good spot for me to sit and sketch while the rest of the group dispersed into the streets of Positano. The Amalfi Coast lunch and wine tasting in Pompeii and the pizza lunch at the agritourismo in Sorrento were great fun and the opportunity for an independent visit to Paestum was most appreciated. The day trip to Pompeii was wonderful but all the "good stuff" from that excavation can be found in museums in Naples. If the Travel Club ever offers a tour to Naples (and Herculaneum), sign me up. Naples is now on my bucket list. Breakfasts were delicious and satisfying (as they have always been on Travel Club tours). On the days when lunch and dinner were provided, I wasn't hungry enough to eat all the dinner portions served. I felt bad about picking at my food and not eating everything. This was a great trip. I'm not surprised that it has been so highly praised by Travel Club members. —Dennis D. Venice April 2018 Our trip was wonderful and the weather could not have been more perfect. Park Viaggi (tour provider) was wonderful and extremely responsive and helpful when I lost the printed itinerary that was attached to my Key Tours folder. Ecatarina, one of the front desk clerks at the Hotel Bonvecchiati was also most helpful with my inquiries about the lost document. Our Monday morning tour guide Maria was very good as was Andrea who helped us get to and from the airport. Venice could not have been more welcoming. I would probably rate it the cleanest city I have been in...ever. Last Venice but not least was the pleasure of a nonstop flight from Philadelphia to Venice. I have my fingers crossed that one of these days The Travel Club will be able to put together a similar trip for Lisbon, Madrid or Vienna. Many thanks for all of your efforts to make this trip to Venice so special. —Pat F.

YOU’VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING QUITE LIKE VENICE! This exotic lagoon city, built on a hundred islands in the Adriatic, is a watery labyrinth of sun-speckled canals and arched bridges, marble palaces, piazzas both massive and tiny, narrow streets and a glorious quay-side promenade…all in a car-free zone! The heart of Venice, Piazza San Marco, looks as perfect as a film set. The iconic Basilica, Doges Palace, Rialto Bridge and Bridge of Sighs are everything you’ve hoped for. Your first cruise (by gondola or vaporetto) down the Grand Canal—the most beautiful “street” in Venice, surrounded by opulent architecture and bustling with water-craft—is an unforgettable experience! You’ll enjoy a guided walking tour of the San Marco area and then it’s time to indulge: visit the marvelous Peggy Guggenheim Collection or Ca’Rezzonico with its 18th-century art and decadent furnishings; wander down mysterious passageways, listen to music in a floodlit square, sip a Bellini at Bar Longhi at Hotel Gritti Palace. No matter where you go, you’ll find history, beauty and romance. “An endlessly seductive charm.”—Rick Steves

Just came back from the Amalfi Coast tour & it's the best trip we've been on. The hotel in Maiori was very comfortable. The tour guide, Alessandra, was the best! She went above and beyond to help in any way and strived to make this trip the best. She even planned extra activities. We had a great group of people on our tour. I would recommend this tour for everyone! —Deb R., April 2018

36

THIS IS THE TRIP OUR MEMBERS CALL THE BEST VALUE in travel today! In a country with over 7,000 km of coastline, the Amalfi Coast is often considered the “coast with the most.” This 50 km long stretch of paradise entrances visitors with stunning scenery, panoramic vistas, sun-washed, hill-hugging villages and, of course, its unmatched Italian style and culture. The Amalfi Coast is beautiful, romantic and dramatic and the Club has become justly famous for our tour of the best of the best. Home-base is a charming hotel in Maiori with its long, wide beach. From there we’ll set out on a new adventure each day—a guided tour of the excavations at Pompeii followed by a winery visit; a full-day visit to the magical and glamorous isle of Capri; an excursion to Sorrento where we'll have a pizza-making lesson followed by lunch and a limoncello tasting, an exploration of Amalfi and Ravello with lunch. The next day we'll travel by motorboat to the village that seems to tumble into the blue sea—Positano—where we'll enjoy lunch and have the whole day to explore on our own.

TRAVELER REVIEW “We thank you for giving us a wonderful experience on the Amalfi Coast and Rome. We met new friends, enjoyed amazing scenery, sights and history. Great value for our money. We will continue to view your website to help in planning our next getaway! Oh... and the food and wine were wonderful.” —Susan C.

“PARIS IS ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA.” — AUDREY HEPBURN. Hundreds of Club members have traveled to Paris with us over the years and this Travel Club classic remains one of the best values in travel today! We'll stay in a quiet street of the 16th arrondissement, in the heart of Paris, at the four-star Hotel Victor Hugo Paris Kleber, in strolling distance to the Place du Trocadero, the Eiffel Tower, the Champs-Elysees, and the Arc de Triomphe. Often compared to NYC's Upper East Side, the posh 16th is elegant residential neighborhoods with pretty art-deco architecture, world-class museums and fine restaurants. Located on the right bank between Boulogne-Billancourt and the Arc de Triomphe, the 16th includes the vast wooded area of Bois de Boulogne and we'll enjoy the wide tree-lined boulevards, neighborhood bistros, elegant gardens and vintage boutiques of this area. Note: While the Eiffel Tower is located in the 7th arrondissement, the 16th lays claim to some of the most impressive views of it. The best outlook is from Jardins du Trocadéro—it offers some of the best views of this famous landmark as well as striking panoramas of the city—for some of the best head to the terrace bar at Hotel Raphael.
