VIEWPOINT
The backdrop for our late summer photoshoot was the stunning Las Hadas Resort in breathtaking Manzanillo, Mexico.
The resort's name, Las Hadas, is Spanish for the fairies and was inspired by local lore. Legend has it that ancient mariners were mesmerized by fairies dancing on the calm waters of the moonlit bay. Four hundred years later, Bolivian billionaire, baron Don Antenor Patino was so inspired by the beauty of the bay, he commissioned the famous Spanish architect, JosĂŠ Luis Ezquerra, to design an idyllic castle hideaway.
We too were inspired by the Moorish architecture. Whitewashed walls, whimsical turrets, marble floors and intricate domes transcend time. It's a photographer's paradise.
The views of the bay beyond are breathtaking from every spire, archway and balcony, where a nearly secluded beach kisses a calm, crystalline sea. Sunrise here is so brilliant, it's considered a spiritual experience.
Cobblestone paths wind around romantic fountains, fanciful statues and shady palm trees while the fragrant flowers and draping bougainvillea envelop the senses and soothe the soul.
