This sale has definitely developed into just that, the place to “Source” those elite genetics that will go out and work in some of the great breeding establishments in the Simmental breed. With the great offering of Red and Black Purebreds as well as the Fullblood Fleckvieh division, there is definitely cattle that appeal to a lot of different programs. The bred heifers are truly females that are destined to be great matrons of the breed. The breeding services, be it AI or natural, are to the popular and proven bulls of the breed. Many of these bred heifers are carrying a first calf that could pay for your entire purchase. The open heifers are what we all refer to as the front pasture kind. Sale Terms & Conditions The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable at par at sale location unless satisfactory credit arrangements have been made prior to the sale. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. Bouchard Livestock Ltd reserves the right to require a certified cheque as settlement before releasing any sale cattle. Should the purchaser fail to settle for his purchase, Bouchard Livestock Ltd reserves full power to resell the animal to the best advantage, either publicly or privately, without further notice. Any loss arising from such resale, together with keep and all other expenses shall be payable by the defaulter. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. The owners, Bouchard Livestock Ltd. and sale staff have the right to refuse bids from anyone who has a previous record of default in payment and/or who has not made prior credit arrangements prior to the sale with the owners and/or Sale Management. BID - Every animal consigned to the sale must be sold by auction. No by-bidding will be permitted. Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. DISPUTES - In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final. PURCHASER’S RISK - Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. ANNOUNCEMENTS from the auction block will take precedence over printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay attention to any such announcements. CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY - The proper Registration of Recordation paper, as the case may be, will be duly transferred and furnished to the buyer for each animal after settlement has been made. SHIPPING - Assistance will be given in making shipment after the sale, but Sale Management or Seller assumes no risk. Expenses incurred are the responsibility of the purchaser. Purchasers are requested to furnish shipping instruction when making settlement. GUARANTEE - All animals will carry standard breeding guarantee as specified by the applicable Canadian breed Association. At no time shall the seller’s liability exceed the purchased price of the animal. EXCEPTION TO GUARANTEE - In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, the guarantee shall be null and void. In the cases of bulls, they are guaranteed to breed naturally according to applicable Canadian breed Association guarantee, but no guarantee is given that semen from any bull will freeze. HEALTH - It is the buyer’s responsibility to determine health requirements for importing any animal into his province or state. Bouchard Livestock Ltd assumes no responsibility for the health status of any animal in the sale. ACCIDENTS - Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither the Sale Management, auctioneer, or Association assumes any responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability legal or otherwise in the event of accident or loss of property. We are proud to bring you a strong set of females from the heart of our program. They are the type you can build a herd on. We’ve tried to bring something for everyone, Fullbloods, Full Flecks, Reds and Blacks, all with lots of volume, style and eye appeal. A definite sale feature and a real family favorite that is very hard to part with. Tremendous volume, great colour, stylish with a powerful pedigree that has brood cow written all over it. Chicklet is the only Spartacus daughter we will offer for sale this year and she is a real sweetheart. We partnered with Little Willow Creek to purchase Spartacus from our good friend Philippe Bellavance from Quebec. This is our first set of Spartacus calves and they are good. Born small with above average growth, his sons are at the top of our bull pen full of eye appeal and sound in structure. Looking forward to watching them mature, going to be a very interesting bull sale! Chicklet is wide topped with a big hip, she was mothered by a lovely uddered dam and like her daughter has an excellent disposition. We purchased this Bodybuilder dam from the Remington dispersal knowing that with this pedigree, progeny would be extremely strong. Her dam, Soft Touch 15M, is a breeding legend producing Remington On Target with sons General Lee and Prowler both 2009 Grand and Reserve Champion bulls at Agribition. Our Soft Touch 4S female is deep-bodied, has an excellent udder for her age and she can really raise a calf. Her 2014 Paparazzi bull calf sold to SAJ Simmentals at last year’s sale for $11,000. She produced 25 #1 embryo’s and is bred back to Paparazzi, we are sure hoping for a daughter. The embryos we are offering are sired by the impressive Homo Polled, Homo Black Springcreek All In 155Y and these calves will have a TON of potential. Customers have been very pleased with both his sons and daughters; they are thick-muscled, well-balanced, full of performance and have sold for top dollars. Little Willow Creek
Little Willow Creek Ranch imported our first Fullblood from Austria in 1971. We have been breeding Simmental and Simmental cross cattle since that time. The breed continues to offer so many avenues and has the ability to work in many different programs and environments. We continue to select for functional easy keeping cattle, culling very hard for temperament, soundness, good udders and performance. We have selected 10 bred heifers and 2 heifer calves for the 2015 Source Sale. The bred females are from the top end of our Fullblood and Red pens; they are all bred to NCS Mr Paypal 10Z, our easy calving Winchester son. They were preg checked early in July. Our two Black open heifer calves are similar in type and are very interesting. We would like to thank all our past Source Sale buyers for their support and confidence in our programs. These two Full Fleckvieh heifers are the result of one of our most productive and consistent flushes ever. We had seven full sibs this year (five heifers and two bulls) and are expecting four more next year. The uniformity of color and quality of these flushmates has created a lot of excitement for us. The heifers are broody, feminine females and the bulls are massive powerhouses that will be highlighting our bull sale next spring. We wanted to sell the best heifer from this flush but couldn’t agree which one that is. One of our very best performance heifer calves, lots of growth and out of probably the best black cow family in the herd being the Retroflex’s. When Brian came out to make his selections this year, I wondered how he was going to pick because I felt we had a lot of choice. Ms Duty is one those heifers that has quietly crept her way to the top of the pen. We’ll certainly have a hard time parting with her. She has a lot of body capacity and width and quiet disposition.
