THE 8TH ANNUAL BEE BOULDER FESTIVAL Saturday, Sept. 24, 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Central Park, 1212 Canyon Blvd. An exciting day filled with games, arts, crafts and nature-based activities raising awareness about pollinators and climate change. This free event is for all ages and is one of many community-wide events during Pollinator Appreciation Month. Get inspired to create positive action to support pollinators and biodiversity.

Sanitas Room Design and weave a thread bracelet using a braiding wheel. Participants will receive a braiding wheel to use at home. Sanitas Room Use make up that imitates the character of La Catrina, a recognizable symbol of the Day of the Dead, Día de los Muertos. EXHIBITIONS “LIBRARY INSPIRED: THE BPL STAFF ART SHOW” July 15–Sept. 6 at Main on the Arapahoe Ramp Using the library collections as inspiration, this exhibition shares artworks created by library staff.

“ART INSPIRED BY THE LAND” Aug. 5–Sept. 18 at Main in the Canyon Gallery and Meadows Opening Reception: Thursday, Aug. 11, 6–8 p.m. in the Canyon Gallery City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) presents a community art exhibition inspired by our shared open space. To honor the comfort and healing that nature provides, this exhibition celebrates our connection to the land.

“ROCKY MOUNTAIN RESCUE: 75 YEARS OF SEARCH AND RESCUE LEADERSHIP” Sept. 10–Nov. 10 at Main on the Arapahoe Ramp A photo exhibition and historic narrative of the Rocky Mountain Rescue Group (one of the oldest and busiest mountain search and rescue teams in the USA). Photos from missions and practices, from the early 1950’s to today.

“KACHOU FUUGETSU: JAPANESE FLOWER EXHIBITION” Sept. 23–25, at Main in the Canyon Gallery The official Ikenobo Ikebana Society of America Colorado Chapter is pleased to present their annual Ikebana Japanese Flower arrangement exhibition. Kachou Fuugetsu is a Japanese concept that means to discover yourself when experiencing nature.
