When first read, our name may sound strange. But what’s in it? The name Iron Tank is a Cockney Rhyming Slang for the word “Bank”. Mr. Painter, one of the high school teachers’ business mindset and aesthetic sense inspired our founder to study various business-related subjects, including business mathematics. Initiated from the East London, we were introduced to the different markets to offer our services to the broader client-base. Dahabshiil is Africa’s largest funds transfer company. Founded in the early 1970s, it was set up to facilitate money transfers to friends and family back in East African countries. The company now operates more than 24,000 outlets, employing 2,000 people from 126 countries.
Iron Tank conducted a review within a short span of time to set a strategic direction for the company. The company’s existence in over three continents, and the complex sector of trade money exchange, led to the exhaustive planning to initiate an accurate strategic change. Risks were identified and solutions were obtained to align with the business direction and owner’s plans.
Challenge:
The difficulties faced by the financial team were eased up by designing a sustainable solution that helped in managing the incoming risks. Cloudbased technology solutions were discussed, which could enable high growth in a little time. All previous compliance issues were dissolved and business became sustainable with our strategic review and change enablement.
