Things are on the improve With 2 interest rate cuts, lower stock levels and a small increase in activity over the first 2 months of 2012, we are sensing an improvement in optimism in Perth. With the Reserve bank reiterating this optimism by opting to retain interest rates this month at their current settings. We are so fortunate to live in Perth, one of the most vibrant economies with one of the best lifestyles in the world. We have natural riches in our Northwest, a well-educated and hard working population and a wonderful “can do mentality”, that has seen our entrepreneurs compete with the world’s best. We are blessed that we don’t live in Greece at the moment or some other parts of the world. It must be stated that it is WA’s time to shine in Australia and indeed internationally. What we must do is shrug off the Greek mentality of pessimism and readopt the “positive” Perth mentality that has been our birth right.

Here are some good places to start. Our rental market is booming. Things are getting tough for tenants with dozens viewing a property at a home open with multiple applications. Many are set to be disappointed. Investing in property has been low for the last 2 years those with investments are doing well with strong rental growth and a selection of fine tenants.
