Le Pont Neuf is not just the oldest standing bridge in Paris. It is a bridge with a story, which would attract many “historians” and people who are simply looking for classic architecture and a great view. Le Pont Neuf was inaugurated in 1607 by King Henry the II, clearly showing the reason for its medieval style. Le Pont Neuf’s sidewalks and semi-circular recessed areas provide a great spot to relax whilst gazing at the spectacular view of the River Seine.

If you have a car, it is recommended not to use it whilst in Paris. Parking is expensive in Paris, so it is easier to park your car at where you are staying rather than taking it when sightseeing. Car rentals are usually for a minimum of three days, so you will not need to hire a car for this trip. If you will need to travel outside of Paris, it is recommended to hire a car.
