Opéra de Paris Place de l'Opera 9th arrondissement The Opéra de Paris is the home of classical music and dance, situated at the Place de l'Opera 9th arrondissement. Originally, the Opéra de Paris was built to have a second theatre for the world renowned Parisian Opera and Ballet companies, it is still used for this purpose today (The Paris Opera Ballet , Operas and various performances). The architecture was by Charles Garnier (who won a design competition in 1861) with designs for the Opéra de Paris said to be fit for a king with a famous giant crystal chandelier, grand staircase (which leads to the best view in the theatre, the boxes) and outside statues representing dance and music and in the middle of these two statues is a statue of the Greek god Apollo holding a lyre above his head. It is also decorated with columns, other statues and many parts of the opera house are gilded and said to be 'flashy'. The Opéra de Paris is also known as the Palais-Garnier as Charles Garnier was the architect. Construction for the Opera began in August 1861 and was completed in January 1875. Probably the most famous Opera house in the world, the Opéra de Paris has live bees living in the roof. The shows in the Opéra de Paris are said to be magical! The Opéra de Paris is ideal for all lovers of The Arts and Music.
“You feel like you are a royal at the Opéra de Paris with the authentic, luxurious feel of 18th Century France.”

Château de Versailles Place d'Armes, 78000 Versailles, France
The Château de Versailles is located just out of Paris (built by King Louis XVI’s grandfather; King Louis XIV) and was the primary residence of the last monarch’s of France; King Louis XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette who met their tragic end on the guillotine during the French Revolution. Known as the symbol of the luxurious supreme power of the royals of France, The Chateau de Versailles consists of a spectacular palace that mere words can’t describe (The famous Hall of Mirrors lies in the Palace), The vast, almost magical Gardens, The elaborate Grand Trianon and The estate (and Petite Trianon) that belonged to Marie Antoinette where she was able to spend private time by herself. Inside the Château, most of the rooms, artefacts and attractions have been preserved and kept well just like how they would have been when the monarchs occupied the place and you are able to either view its brilliance either individually or with the assistance of a friendly tour guide (options of audio or group tours). Notable attractions of the Château worth visiting are; The Bed-chamber of Marie Antoinette where a secret door can still be seen today through which she escaped during the revolution, of course the infamous Hall of Mirrors that reflect light whilst also displaying gold & ornate decorations & sculptures, and the vivid paintings throughout the Château depicting various members of the King’s favourites and family.
