ONE FOR THE ROAD WITH VAUGHANY
By Scott Vaughan

Hello all and welcome to the April edition of Scott’s Spot. This month’s edition will cover the usual short stories, photos and random observations over the last month.
This month, the spotlight will be on the publicans from The Fed in Semaphore, Patsy Henwood and Phil Myles, that highlights an entertaining and comprehensive insight into their venture into the hotel industry.
REGIONAL MEETINGS
Regionals were finally back in the month of March with the Big River Motor Inn kicking the year off in Berri for the Murray/Mallee Regional meeting, then the Bordertown Hotel hosted the Southeast Regional meeting. Both were fantastic days and we greatly appreciate the responses from both publicans and corporate partners in these regions.
I had to leave the Berri meeting early, however Didier Vollerin, our well known AHA|SA staffer, once again stepped in to host the day. Unfortunately, his driving of golf carts leaves a lot to be desired, throwing Phil Carson, from the Terminus at Morgan out of the cart (accidently of course). Having a French name does not make Didier an Alain Prost. This photo was taken just after the incident with Phil hanging on for dear life.

Meanwhile at the Bordertown Hotel, regular corporate partner attendee, Trevor Schiller from Class A Energy Solutions, provided a stirring rendition on the piano of ‘Happy Birthday’ for a lucky local family, which you can watch on the AHA|SA Facebook page. See photo of Trevor in his younger years.

OUR SHOUT PODCAST
I had the pleasure of interviewing the delightful, Stacey Butler, publican at the Commercial Hotel in Strathalbyn. Have a listen to all that Stacey has to say in the March edition, along with previous podcasts from our publicans and corporate partners.
